Just returned from a week in Bogota and didn't have a problem at either place I stayed.

Chica Friendly hotels-.

I stayed first at Lloyds apartasuites Parque 93- was only about $65 and was a small apartment with actual separate bedroom so not a studio. Small kitchen but more than adequate for any type of cooking. Bathroom decent as well, free WiFi. Zero issues with bringing girls in. The desk would call me and say "senor, we have miss Alejandra here to see you". And then I would say send her up. Hotel is located near Parque 93 which has a lot of clubs and restaurants and is a good location IMO.

Second place I stayed at was the W hotel. I wanted to go big for the weekend and got one of their nicer rooms. I was a little worried about bringing a girl into a 5 star hotel. However I had zero problems. One of the reasons was the layout of the hotel. The official front entrance and lobby where you would pass the front desk can be avoided by going to another entrance that faces the shopping mall and other high rises in that area not as much security and no front desk personnel. The very good club and disco are located on the 3rd floor so not a problem to have a girl meet you in lobby and then say you are going to the disco and then later from there take the other elevators up to your room.

W is a great hotel, I was impressed and the girls from the barrio were speechless.

I stayed at the Bogota casa Dann Carlton all last week. Great prices, and the elevator to my floor was near the front door, not the front desk. So it seems it s chica friendly. I had an Amiga with me all week, and registered her, but I could have brought up anyone. Only $100 per night for us both, great rate for a luxury hotel. Five minute taxi to park 93.

Thanks for responding. All the bars indicated between Calle 86 a and around Calle 80 are closed and indeed some have been replaced by cafes and restaurants as this zone upgrades itself.

Most of the massage places however are still open, so my day was actually quite fun filled and there is a rather dusky escort girl winging her way to my hotel right now.

I also took a look at some of the bars between Calle 90 and 100, but didn't sense there was anything still moving there.

Next time I hit town. I will look you up in advance.

I've been in town for a couple of days and certainly most of the bars in the north of the city are no longer in business. Did find one massage place which delivered to expectations.

Also is Juan Pablos still on Carrera 18 near the Dann Carlton? Read one post which said it had moved.

And is the famous Pussy House still in operation.

Have 24 hours to nail this city. Literally - any updated pointers on where to go would be appreciated. Otherwise I may have to head into Santa Fe.

I'll be there in a couple of weeks. Not sure if I'll have time to update due to work schedule, but I have been using google street view and have also noticed just from that, that there are a lot of new buildings going up where the knocking shops used to be. I prefer massage parlors anyway, and there is plenty of info on those.

I will be coming to Bogata in early October for a weekend visit. Even though I am a regular visitor to Cartagena and other Colombian locales, this will be my first visit to Bogata outside of one enormously rainy Monday evening several years ago. On that Sunday, I would probably fly to Cali or MDE for several days before ending my trip in Cartagena and Santa Marta.

I hear the Bogata nightlife can be pretty good especially on the weekend and wanted to know if anyone has recommendations for clubs and restaurants. Do any FL's go to these clubs? My previous research indicates the Zona Rosa area is good but also have heard other areas are popular as well. Also, is there much going on Sunday evening -- clubs, casa, or otherwise?

In addition, I would like to find a decent boutique style hotel in walking distance of the clubs etc. With the increasing value of the USD, I notice some of these boutique hotels listed on Trip Advisor are starting to be more affordable. I should also note that I am hoping a little hottie who I met in Santa Marta last October and now lives in Bogata may join me on my appointed rounds. She is now attending university in Bog to which I gladly and nobly contributed some of her tuition fees last year.

I was there not long ago, the address had changed a year or so ago but I don't remember what it is, I have it written down somewhere. Sometimes the taxi guys will say things like that to take you to another place that will pay them commission. Try and do your homework before getting in to a taxi.
