Many restaurants are closed on Sunday and I had to buy me coffee from Dunkin Donuts. I probably looked distinctively foreign walking with a take out cup of coffee. Nobody seems to do this here. Un tarjetero gave me a card on Caracas and 64, I crossed to west side and voila, there's "casa" or two on every block. I didn't make it to address on the card, pimps snatched me a block before that. Despite broken spanish and the coffee thing I was quoted what seemed to be a local price, 35 k for 30 min. I also bought a chica a drink for 6 k. I completely forgot to learn the word for leaves. He said that I should come back tomorrow as everything closed on Sunday. Anyways, the vibe I got from this people was good and I purchased a big bag of weed from my guide for 5 k. He wanted 10 initially, the scoundrel, but I bargained him down to 5, saying its not any good. There were many street musicians playing, it was like, street concert.

P.S. Next day I learned that coca leaves are complete crap and aint worth anyone's time. I won't mention them again.

Never been to South America before. It's great so far. I lIke the city, people, my hotel, las putas and a climate. It's the city of eternal spring. Muggings can happen anywhere in Bogota, just google Bogota muggings on you tube and you'll see. I have been to SF with, me, my wingman and WM stayed till about 11. Never felt threatened but I could see if your by yourself, and you look vulnerable or don't carry yourself with authority there are opportunities for muggers. My wingman and I went back the next night and stayed until about 1/1:30 am, again never felt in eminent danger. To be honest I always feel the most vulnerable going home from there in a taxi. Remember most muggers in Bogota operate in teams. They pick someone who they think will offer the least resistance and pounce. Always be aware of your surroundings and if more then one person is checking you out at the same time. Other then that, watch out for the taxis!

Regarding your questions, all hotels should allow you to have a visitor to your room, some will charge a visitors fee and some may not, depending on their policies and the time you bring the girl. Most hotels around park 93 and zona rosa are good so any hotel you choose is fine. Depends on your budget. Prior to your trip you can set something up with a website. She reserves in advanced. Girls charge usually from 150 usd, lower than that is under your responsibility!
