The group became belligerent and the police were called. The argument between the officials and the bouncers from the club escalated and ultimately spilled onto the street, according to several eye witness accounts.
The police have since been directed by U.S. authorities not to comment on that night or the scandal surrounding the Secret Service, according to a senior police official in Cartagena.
Prostitution is legal in Colombia and the women who work at the Pley Club live on the premises.
The club, located on a dusty street in the industrial Bosque neighborhood, just blocks from the port, has a rough exterior but boasts plush "pley rooms" inside.
The Pley Club is a well-known brothel in this historic city. Some taxi drivers in the resort-town are paid a commission for recommending the club and its prostitutes to tourists.
The officials were in Cartagena on assignment ahead of the president's visit for the Summit of the Americas last weekend.
The controversy surrounding the officials' misconduct, however, overshadowed the summit last week and local residents are questioning why the city put so many resources into the international event only to be left with a tarnished reputation.
"Cartagena didn't benefit one cent from President Obama's visit. All people remember are that the Secret Service agents slept with our prostitutes," said a man who works in the neighborhood."

Try 'Amoblados el Dorado' a year ago it was mentioned on this site and I have since stayed there 3 times. It's a 'love motel' very very clean 60000 cop for 12 hours. They have a website, and you can make a reservation online, although not necessary. Friendly staff. Beer, food [cooked on site] and I almost forgot chicas delivered to your room if you wish. Address is #96. 20 Avenida El Dorado tel 414 8439. That is also the road at the airport. From MDE to address cabs usually go down some back streets to get there because the main drag is a boulevard with few cross roads, so it can be bit intimidating the first time at night. This makes the trip about 10 to 15 minutes arriving but only 5 minutes leaving in the am. I usually arrive 9pm from Kanuckistan and catch a 9 am flight to MDE, just remember the domestic airport in the am if the chica tired you out and you are running late for your am flight [same airport but terminals 1 km apart] for MDE flights

Amanecederos are clubs which are "hidden" and stay open until dawn (amanacer) and much later, one is near the zona rosa, calle 82 with carrera 16. You will see it on your left side 2nd floor flashing lights and pounding music. I am unable to recommend it as have never been however I should imagine that given the location the girls will be higher end. You will be propositioned by touts if you go from andino towards the carrera 15.

The other ones are located as I have described. Calle 87 with carrera 15 has many clubs and one or two "hidden" clubs.

Try juan pablos theres many girls in there on a Thursday night, not cheap though.

If you want cheaper alchohol prices chapinero La49 and the others nearby are a bit cheaper. Then theres all the clubs around calle 67 carrera 17 but you will need to speak spanish well. Best to stay in the north if you plan to stay out for a while on your own.

No sign, but I think the place is just called Sexy Girls or something similar, located on the southwestern corner of the intersection of Calle 56 con 14 a.
