They are about a block or 2 away from the casas de cambio in the downtown financial district. All the places that I have visited entails going up a flight of stairs. I think some are on avenida 7. I will double check for you.

I'll be there from Sunday until the middle of the week. My wing man in Bogota swears there is a place in Fontibon with tons of pros. I haven't been able to get a hold of him lately. i had the greatest time in santa fe (mostly in atunes) the last two weeks mainly because of information from you. i like it more than the other monger destinations in colombia. even at almost 70 yrs old, i had dozens of encounters and loved to stroll around day and night talking to the doorway girls. i never had any problems. if anyone bothers my i say lo siento no (i'm sorry. no) and cross the street. the only problem i had was finding other areas like santa fe or clubs like atunes. the noise drives me crazy in any of the clubs i went into. so here is the question finally. in bog are there any other santa fe areas or venues like atunes? i'll be back mar 15 for 10 more days. i'll be adding my "list for the down and dirty" as soon as i can get a break from making a living.

the answer is no. there are other bars of the same kind in chapinero, but they are rep001tered and, based on what i heard, not so interesting as those of sf (i tried only 2-3 years ago, so i cannot give my personal opinion).

by the way, if you like down-and-dirty, i don't think atunes is the best. you have plenty of options. for example, in ascending order of sleaziness, you might like to explore:

1) other bars in santafe, for example troya, paisa and venus and others in the same street;

2) other lower-rank bars in sf (i liked manizalitas, where i got stolen 20k by a cosquillerita 2 years ago, see other report) ;

3) streets in sf for sws (caution needed: it's very likely to be robbered, if you look "interesting" that is in possession of money) ;

4) streets around sf for sws (also daytime: the cr. 13a, cl. 19 close to caracas and cr. 11, south of cl. 19, west of caracas within 2-3 blocks. only nighttime: west of caracas cl. 16-24)

option 4) at night is impossible without a car, unless you really look a homeless, you would be robbed in less than half an hour. find a taxi driver who is keen to accompany you for such a tour. it's not difficult in sf. girls there are 95% dirty.

if that's not enough:

5) ask your taxi driver to take you near the bronx, but maybe this is too down and dirty, even for you.
