I have never seen any violence in Santa Fe at all. I have never even been inside of La Piscina but that is the point where I tell the taxi driver to drop me off. I only deal with the SWs and Casa Workers. The streets are full of people. You have to realize there are many bars and clubs on those few streets (kinda like a poorer version of Burbon Street in New Orleans). I just can't imagine people there going up to random foreigners to assault them. Maybe there could be a remote possibility if you went down a dark alley, but just walking around the streets I would say there is a near 100% chance that no one will come up fucking with you for the wrong reasons.

After having written that Santa Fe is not "the most dangerous part of Bogota" and that it is "dangerous but manageable", now I begin to feel worried, if someone seems to milden things too much. I dont want any newcomers may get the impression that Santa Fe would be quiet and comfortable like a Swiss public garden.

Rodeo, I know in Medellin they have fincas in Santa Ellena and Copacabana about an hour or less away from the city, but I don't know any in Bogota. I am sure they exist since the surrounding area of Bogota are breathtaking.

Well I'm back from the "field". This is a NEWBIE REPORT so take it as such and please just skip the usual batter a few of you seem to love so much. Corrections / updates / names of places however are appreciated.

Sounds like you had a bad trip. BOG is a huge city and without Spanish skills and maybe a friend or 2, it can be hard for the newbie. Too bad you didn't try La 49 (on septima and calle 49 of course). I would describe it as a midpoint in price range. I remember being there one night back in '07. A friend of mine took me there. We had a good cheap colombian chicken soup or ajiaco there at 3 in the morning, the kitchen is open all night. Drinks are reasonable but beware the private VIP section upsell. My friend and this other guy with us took a hit of acid and were tripping out the rest of the night. I don't do that stuff but this is one place in BOG you can go wild, if that's you're thing, without worrying about getting robbed (or killed, LOL).

There's tons of girls here of all kinds and colors. I got looks and even the old "butt-pinch" so these girls are a bit more aggressive than the usual LDV types. I saw a girl with the biggest knockers ever, I mean insanely humongous although she was a bit fat. She was probably working to get some money for reduction surgery, LOL! I can pay you 400 for 2 hours tonight or any time you can drop by my place. Check to see if she can see you some other time. Let her know you want to spend your money on HER, not the club owner and their outrageous takeout fees and drink prices. NEVER laugh at a girls 1st offer, no matter how high or ridiculous it seems. That will never help you and can actually alienate the girl. Just smile and look like you've done this many times before. Let her know you don't negotiate but this is your offer and let her know emphatically if she takes it she won't regret it and will have a great time with you.

Sometimes a girl will choose to go with you for less than what she "expects" or "deserves" because you have chosen her, you've made cleared your intent or interest.
