Not that this needs to be stated, but be careful down in Sante Fe. El Tiempo (Bogota newspaper) just ran a story about a dude who was kidnapped and held for 800.000 pesos and a cell phone. This happened this weekend.

My friend and I are staying in the Zona Rosa area and have visited the El Cedro JR on Calle82, and another Casa de Mujeres in the Zona Rosa area. From reading the posts, it seems that most of the street action is in the Santa Fe area. We are wondering if there is any street action in Zona Rosa or should we stick with the Casa de Mujeres. We are also wondering if it is worth making the trek to the Santa Fe area. And if it is, what is the distance form Zona Rosa?

Just hop in a taxi and have them take you there. Go around 6PM. It's about a 20 minute ride without traffic, maybe 40 minutes in traffic.

For those looking for day action (9am-9pm) where Santa Fe is a bit quiet and the north is a bit expensive (as someone pointed out to me recently) chapinero is not a bed bet. Not sure at night there is a few Whiskerias that open up on the Carrera 17th around calle 65-67 or so but cant say whether they are any good. But I went to Julianas on Monday Carrera 19 #67-49 which was advertised in El Tiempo either the newspaper or the web site and it was pretty good. They had a bed which was a nice change from the massage tables in the north, was pretty clean and had a good lineup of girls, some average, 1-2 good looking and one petite stunner from Venezuela, Tatiana.
