Not me, but a couple of people I know. YES watch your drink. And don't be fooled that it's just in Bogota. It's all over Colombia and has been used in neighboring nations too.

In general, Bogota is quite a bit safer than Medellin and MUCH safer than Cali but it's still not Disneyland.

Scopolamine (WATCH YOUR DRINKS IN BOGOTA)

i'll be in bogota april 9-12 and i'm doing a little research on the crime. i'm familiar with cali and medellin and know how to stay out of trouble while in those cities. but to be honest, bogota scares me a little. i found the text below on wikipedia in their description of a drug used in robberies. they seem to focus on bogota. has any run into this while mongering in bogota (or other colombian cities)?

from wikipedia: "in recent years the criminal use of scopolamine has become an epidemic. approximately fifty percent of emergency room admissions for poisoning in bogotá have been attributed to scopolamine.[5]

victims of this crime are often admitted to a hospital in police custody, under the assumption that the patient is experiencing a psychotic episode. a telltale sign is a fever accompanied by a lack of sweat.

scopolamine is used criminally as a date [CodeWord123] drug and as an aid to robbery,[6] the most common act being the clandestine drugging of a victim's drink[7]. it is preferred because it induces retrograde amnesia, or an inability to recall events prior to its administration or during the time of intoxication.

a nine part series on the drug, also known as "colombian devil's breath", can be found on vbs.tv."

    Natalia / Bridgite at cr 15 #104 - 03 Messanine 10!

    Hi!!

I saw the Post from Novio recomending this place. When arrived I was surprised to see the small massage parlor. If you go to abejitas or one relax they are huge in comparison. The locale only has one light, therefore the division beetween the 2 massages beds is made by a walll that does not touch the ceiling, so everything can be heared.

There were 4 girls. Natalia, Daniela, Marisela and Bridget. I was looking for bridget but she was bussy with another client.

So I chose Daniela a Very cute lil spinner. Lovelly face, She is about 5 foot tall nice perky tits, a cute tight ass. I payed 60k for massage and FS. The massage was so, so. The session was nice. Since the massage bed is in a tigh cubicule I could only do her cowgirl style. She got loud and I was please that she enjoyed it.

I told daniela about the site and she allowed me to take a picture of her back.

I would recomend this massage parlor. Look fot the messanine 10, I made a mistake while entering and I checked out mesanine 9, there were lower class girls but very honest, caouse when I asked about Bridgitte and Natalia they sayed they did not worked there and let me get out.

Don't carry your passport. If you lose it, it could be quite a nightmare of a situation. Especially do NOT carry your passport if you're vacationing outside of Bogota. Should you lose it, I think your only recourse is the U.S. embassy in Bogota.

Make 2 laminated copies of your passport and always carry one of them with you. Leave your passport in your safe or hidden/secured somewhere in your room / apartment.

I'd advise every tourist never to walk around with their passport. Only comes out for official business, i.e. air travel, military roadstops, in-branch banking, cellular phone offices, etc., then goes right back into a secure location/compartment. A clear passport copy should suffice any other situation, along with a driver's license.

I'd call local police on it if they insist on the actual passport.

You'd be much much better off losing a driver's license abroad, than having to go thru the dry assfuck of obtaining another passport at the US Embassy in Bogota.

I'm not sure either. I never stray far from my passport just in case, but neither do I carry it with me when I can leave it in a safe. If a usd 200 fine every so often might be the price of that it sounds like money well spent, though a trip to the police complaints office next to Andino mall would be my next stop "pour encourage les autres" or, more appropriately perhaps, décourager les autres.

There's some motels down in Chapinero. Can't vouch for 'em though.

Bridgith and Natalia have moved next door

for a number of reasons, i hadn't been to the mezzanine at cra 15/cll. 104 for probably more than a year. happened to pass by today and decided to check out the massage parlors. they no longer have the guy loitering around on the landing, so that's a plus. as i was headed back towards #9 (abadesa's), i happened to see natalia and her pretty eyes peeping out at me from #10, so i went into that storefront. turns out that not only natalia was there, but also the famous bridgith, and three other young and very do-able girls. since i had had only one session with natalia, i wanted to pick her, but she seemed intent on referring me to the other girls. so my natural choice was bridgith. amazingly enough, she remembered me even though, as i said, it's been more than a year. bridgith delivered a great session. she likes to dance, and will dance and grind against you, even when you are in fs. bridgith told me that she had gotten fed up with some of the management practices next door, so she and some other girls had decided to pick up and leave. costs are 30k/hj, 40k/bj, 60k/"hour" with fs. not a bad option if you don't mind the tight quarters and the distraction of being able to hear other clients and the chatter of the girls outside the cubicles.

Makes a nice wallet-sized two-sided ID, and I get to leave my actual passport locked up in a safe, where it never comes out until it's time to leave for home.

Will the Colombians accept a copy of the passport or must I carry the real thing around? If a copy is acceptable do you require the copy of the entry stamp or just the main details?

    Thanks again.

    Its 18.

14 only applies if her partner is within a few years of her age.

That's good to know. In any case I always ask to see ID from anyone that I think might be questionable in the age department. It's amazing how mature or how old some teenagers can look after having been around the block a few times and all made up.

Better safe than sorry! That's not something I want to play around with at all.
