Thanks for the post I have to check out Maximo the next time I am in town which will be soon.

I have come to realize that most place have no AC, of the various places I have gone to they usually only provide a fan. At least with the super hot room the cold shower does not seem that bad. No hot water in Cali in any of the Casas I have visited, not even Dr. Love.

    Maximo

Didn't have alot of free time to play but I did have a moment for a qucik run over to "Maximo" from the Cali List provided. I went over in the early evening jsut getting dark out. Super easy to find. Sat down music went on and they brought out each girl one by one. Maybe 12 to choose from. Most we not good enough to consider and a few not sure if anybody would ever do them. However, there were 4 to consider. The first two were by far the best. Kinda wish I picked the first girl but I went for the second, her name was Vanessa.

Got hosed on the price. They charged me 80, 000 for the hour. The list states 65, 000 I think. Tried to say something. But figured it was not worth it. My spanish sucks.

Vanessa was fairly accomadating and pleasant enough. Nice cbj, a bit short for my taste. But typical. Made the mistake of bringing my own. Has a lube on it. Had to switch out later on for a locall one without. Slightly better service in that department then.

Had some real good hip twisting that really did the job. Had some difficulty half way through that killed my. Ummm excitement. It was just hot in that place. One littel swinging fan but I got so hot in the room it just wore me out. Thankfully, we decided to switch to the local jimmy for some more cbj I cooled down a bit and finished up the job in short order rcg. Definitely, good.

It was convienient. And she was great and fun. Shower afterward and multiple pops but it was just too hot for me to go for a 2nd helping. I'd definitley reccomend it. But if you spanish it not good. Make sure you don't get upsold by the door guy. And if you want air conditining. Stay away. For me. It's a deal breaker.

I'm not such a cheap charlie, Id like to consider myself more of a frugal charlie! lol I do like to keep and eye on my pesos even if I am on vacation. I guess this comes from the days when I had no pesos.

Enough of this "cc" stuff already!

For a change, news on some girls most of you might find interesting. This week in Cali I got (solid) notice that some of the famous website LP girls are the same working girls featured in some of the aforementioned webpages.

Even though they are shown charging up to a million COP for evening service, apparently these prices are only for suckers.

Both extremes ("ccs" and suckers) are, I believe, gross to the healthy sportsman, who is generally able to get this upscale material at much more convenient prices.
On the other hand, Cali seems to be pretty much dead these days, due to religious festivities (semana santa). Most bars are closed, and streets and restaurants are quite empty.

I hope a future trip I plan on the near future gets to be much more exciting; maybe in late may or early june. No news of el Castilo, mentioned in this forum, by the way...

Mister class himself On the Go- Rural tame ass

Wrong company, and so what I am a store manager for a home improvement chain. I make decent coin, put up with customer assholes like you Rural tamelife who probably would ***** if a piece of drywall had a blemish in it. At least I am not ripping people off and giving people an opportunity to make some money, some poor people, maybe a young woman with a child to feed. I am sure you would stick you big ugly nose down at them you self centered egomaniac, nobody gives a fuck how much money you make, I don't, my guess is that ricker doesn't? probably most everyone else either..

Money certainly does not equal dignity or class. Look at the person known as " On the Go or Urban wildlife" A pair of board shorts and a tee shirt on the beach? who the fuck cares, I go to the beach to relax..

Bring a beer or two in a cooler, fuck ya, sometimes I do not want to deal with Tony. Is there a law against BYOB in Cartagena? I brought my own chair for a while also. so fucking what? Tony actually laughed about it.. That's right I don't go to the beach to run up 50000 or 100000 COP bar tabs, do not drink shitty watered down pina coladas.

Tony cannot overcharge me for anything I do not order from him. Now run along do overpay your putas fly them all over the place who cares. after you leave the next guy is going to fuck them for about a third of what you paid..

    To each his own.

My definition of a Cheap Charlie

An example of a "cheap charlie" in my eyes is a person with a professional position such as a pilot who is making a professional salary and who has the ability to pay for nice accomodations, but refuses to, because he is worried about spending a few dollars more for a little luxury, such as having the convienences of a pool, room service, maid service, restaurants on location e.c.t., despite the fact he might be well off financially. A person who goes to the beach carrying a 6 pack of the cheapest beer they can find, instead of providing the beach vendors an opportunity to make a few dollars, despite having a good size bank account. A person who leaves a 100 peso tip for a waiter who provided them great service on a dinner for two in a fine dining restaurant where the dinner might have cost 100,000 pesos. A person who will not spend money for a good pair of quality jeans and a nice dress shirt, that they can afford, but choose to walk around dressed in the same clothes they wore in the 80's.

My best definition of a Cheap Charlie is a person who is more worried about how much money they are spending on their vacation rather than having a good time, despite the fact the money they are spending on their vacation will not in the least bit effect them financially.

My posting is way off base---how so?

As I stated in the opening line of my post, it was not directed in response to anyone who has posted on this thread.

As to your question about who is being belligerent, as I clearly indicated in my original post, my "belligerent" comment was directed toward a number of guys I've run into while in Colombia.

I believe you've somehow mis-comprehended my post as being directed to you. If so, you are mistaken.

As my original post stated, people have different likes and dislikes. Different preferences, etc. There isn't a right or wrong or an I'm better than the next guy in whether you pay $50 a night or $100 night.

The spirit of my post was to say---to each his own. I can't imagine that such a message is difficult to discern.

    Have a good one.

Sure the Cali Plaza is nice, but there are other options out there.

You want to spend $ 100 a night. That is cool, but don't punk other people who want to spend a little less. Jesus last time I spent $100000 COP on my apartment in Laquito, because it was available, and I was there to relax, not impress anyone, well maybe I should have spent $ 215 a night on a crackerbox at the Hilton.

Your posting is way off base.

My thoughts aren't directed to anyone in particular posting on this thread.

A night's stay in a hotel room at Cali Plaza is $60 (including taxes). One night in a one bedroom apartment is $80. Yeah, you're spending a little more, but it's clean, with a decent reputation and management, and you get some helpful conveniences, such as WiFi and a cell phone to use.

I think the two bedroom apartment is probably around $100. Yeah, seems a little high for Cali, but I don't think it's in the "rip-off" category.

My hunch is that this is another one of those issues where there really isn't a right or wrong, or where one is better than the other. Instead, probably more about one's personal likes, dislikes, preferences, etc.

I've been exposed to an inordinate number of gringos in Colombia who spend more time going-on (belligerently) about how they are paying less than the next guy for something (no matter how insignificant), etc, than they do spending time layin' the pipe to the chicas.

Put me in as a "cheap charlie".

Paying $100 bucks a nite for a hotel in Cali, not for me.

  11. #2387
Define what a "cheap charlie" is, Rural tamelife? Oh I get it someone that can do some research and find a better deal than $ 100 a night. The Cali Plaza is nice, but what is got for $ 55 a night is much better, much bigger, away from the main drag, secure, etc.

But then again to each his own.

Cali Plaza is nice but expensive

Has nice apartments for about $ 100 a night, in a safe area, but one can find a nice aprtment for $ 50-60 a night if one knows who to contact. The flip side is that there is a a few guys (arthur brode and www.sotb.com) that ctare to gringos. I am paying $ 55 a night for a 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment one block from Chippichappe next month. I would have prefered something near the south, but it is impossible to find.
