There are a couple others that have occasional shows, hell even Flores Frescas only has shows twice a night so cannot be called a real "strip club". I would LOVE to open a real strip club in Cali, but am scared shitless that it might tred on somebody's else's perceived "turf". Medellin is SOMEWHAT better, as is Bogota, but IMHO Colombia is NOT a good country for strip clubs.

i recommend pharaon and the place next door for strip club. if you like a girl you take her upstairs. they have afternoon rates of about 35,000 pesos for an hour. more at night. takeout is not favored but is possible. there is a nice hamburger stand in between the two clubs.

they are located along the cali river, near the apartment hotel del rio. about 1 mile from chipichapee mall

From what I know in Cali, it's pretty shitty! There are 2 of them.

The first one is pretty low class. About only Colombians go there, and women are not that good looking (although they are dirt cheap). The bar name is called (La 20) - pronounced "la veinte". It's downtown and has some rooms available for pretty cheap.

The second one, is pretty popular. But make sure to bring your wallet as you'll need it. Flores Frescas. Dig for the address on this board, and you'll find it. Prices are pretty much like in the US, but women are of top quality (and numerous).

You may also go to a place called "Pharaon" on the rio (Avenida 2 Norte). It's not a strip club per say, but there is some ambiance.

Are there any good strip clubs to hang out in in Cali? Or for that matter in Colombia in general. I read a lot about casas, and bar scenes here not strip clubs.

There is such a thing as claiming moral grounds and having enough conviction for one culture (or individual) to say to another: "you're wrong". But, I guess to do that you need just enough balls and vision. This topic has nothing to do with dressing the same way as people in the country you're visiting, it touches who you are. They have to accept you as a guest as much as you have to accept them as a host and both have to respect each other.

I fully agree there are limits to having physical contact with specific ages. Although I read some high dude in Colombia seems to be married with a girl/woman of 16. I presume she is not a "comon" case, and certainly in a mental mature stage of life to have and keep such a commitment. We as western men are used to see this as a sick/undesirable behaviour. In Colombia it seems normal like I understood out of Ricker's post. Well to be honest I would not take myself in such a commitment. On the other hand I believe some people can and are willing to do so. Why not respect their decissions and not just look black and white when making statements and critics on others people beliefs and principles. It is in a way something that has grown out of our western world by centuries. It was different before. Yes gentlemen, look at your historybooks. It was very common in high society to marry girls of age 14, 200/300 years ago. And it still is today in some parts of the world. Adapt and survive to the place you live. Accept the facts of life in another country.

Any guy who has been to Lima will tell you that they hate his jumbled and confusing posts, But he knows more about Peru than anyone else. The reason jackson gave him his own forum was so guys like you did not have to read his reports.

Sorry to add my 2 centavos, Basically I would have to agree with both Surfer and Ricker, with one caveat.
Although the age of consent rules may vary from country to country or even province to province they usually have one thing in common.

If the girl is under the age of 18, then the male can only be 4-5 years older.

Since this does not apply to most of us old mongers here, I would strongly advise that we use 18 at a minimum the world over.

My wife is 24 and has two twin sisters 17. They are beautiful/virgins but are no where near ready to have a sexual relationship due to there emotional imaturity. My wife on the other hand was much more mature at the same age.

As far as relationships with women 20-30 years younger, Here in Lima it is the norm for gringos. I am 27 years older then my wife and it is only the tourists that stare at us.

Also, on the subject of cheating. You can be damn sure a latina who did not marry for money will never put up with it. If she catches your Gringo ass there will be a line Latino men outside your bedroom door when you get home.

Well ... I usually try to stay out of these debates ... but in this case, I'll have to add my 2 cents worth ...

As far as maturity goes ... absolutely, without question, the latina, Colombiana, Venezolana, Salvadorania, etc ... matures much faster than the gringa ... mentally and socially speaking.

I met 2 chicas in the mall today (in Miami) visiting from Colombia ... one had a bag that said ... "te quiero Colombia" ... so I approached them and we talked about Colombia ... absolutely beautiful girls ... both physically and mentally speaking ... very nice ... I was amazed when they told me they were 15 and 16 years old.
This is just an example ... I could never talk with gringa teen-agers like that.

The culture difference between the west (US / Europe) and South America is so different ... this is OBVIOUS.

A couple with an age difference of 20 years, for example, is easily accepted in South America ... people won't look twice ... in the western world, trust me, people not only look twice but some busy-bodies like to groan about it ...
the "social police" to the rescue they believe.

Sexual relations with a chica under 18 ... no matter what country ... is another matter. That is certainly a NO-NO ... at least for me.

My opinion is this ... just because someone reaches the age of 18 ... they don't automatically become ready for a sexual relationship ... and just because someone is under that age, doesn't mean they are not ready ... BUT ... there has to be an age set for general legality and morality and 18 seems to be the universal number ... the number I personally abide by and my friends too.

My girlfriend in Colombia is 20 years old ... the oldest of 3 sisters ... from a nice, middle class family. Beautiful person ... unbelievable sometimes how much more wise and mature in many ways she is than I am ... I'm a lucky dude for sure.

Really the bottom line is ... enjoy life ... enjoy Colombia ... South America ... where ever ... but don't hurt anyone ... leave the minors alone ... there are plenty of 18+ years chicas.

you say "good morals" are the reason the US has been the strongest empire since Rome? To say I am skeptical of ANY causal link between the two is an understatement, but I should ask you to clarify what you mean by "good morals" before responding further. MANY countries use the US as an example of a country LACKING "good morals" so I am curious what YOU meant by the term.

Also, "morality and legality" are NOT coterminous (read: they do not encompass the same set of behaviors). I am staying out of the "morality" issue, as it means different things to different people, but from a LEGALITY standpoint, MANY countries (dare I say most) have an age of consent below 18. In terms of Colombia, while there are websites claiming it is 14 there are also regulations I have seen indicating that it is NOW 18 (surely due to pressure from the US). For example, there is a rule that EVERY hotel is SUPPOSED to affix a sticker to registration forms stating that sex with under 18 is illegal, but the omnly such sticker I have EVER see was when I asked to see one (and the hotel clerk picked one out of the bottom of a drawer). Another example of the amorphousness of Colombian law regards the possession of small amounts of marijuana: While I have read that this is TECHNICALLY legal (though Uribe wants to recriminilize it -again dure to US pressure), like in many European countries, I have also been told that police may try to ask bribes not to report it etc. If you are rich/powerful, it is probably fine but if you are poor/powerless . . . .

some people think that because a person is able to have sex, that makes them an adult. it's not because you can perform an act that normally only adult people practice, that you become one of them. the hell, i sometimes act like a child, and that doesn't make me a child. an **** person (below 18 by international standards) may have a body that looks like the one of an adult, may from time to time perform acts that adults perform, but that does not make them an adult.

my girlfriend is 24 years old. she is a wonderful being and is a full grown woman that i appreciate very much. that being said, even at that age, i sometimes feel that she is below 18. women in colombia, in many cases, leave their father - when they are fortunate enough to have one - just to switch to their boyfriend or husband, but the relationship is pretty much the same. they are looking for directions, they are looking for authority and a framework that will allow them to have an almost normal life. once they have that, they will full-around to push the limits as they'd do with their own father, which should result in punishment like a father would impose on them when caught. when you get that, you know how to deal with a latina, and they will be thankful for your patience and flurish to become a full grown woman one day. below 18, the hardware is not there for that to happen before many years. at a later age, you may be fortunate enough to live through it and see it happening in your lifetime, but you'll still need an emotional investment.

bottom line, if you like girls below 18, then something's off in your perception of who they are, and you need to be fixed quickly because you are dangerous. there is plenty of help available. not using that help is your shame.

The age of consent in Colombia is 14.

Many States in the US have ages under 18, Colorado is 15. New York is 17. Indiana is 16. I do not have a complete listing of all States.

There are some Federal laws that may make it illegal for a US citizen to have sex with anyone under 18 outside of their home State. Thus if you live in Colorado, you could have sex with a 15-year-old IN COLORADO, but not in any other State or other country.

Frankly, I prefer 20 and up-more experience.

i think we all agree that there has to be some age of consent for having relationships with younger girls. we have all saw instances of sexual predators praying on **** girls. i was just relaying my own observations. i have spent most of my time in the larger cities of colombia.

However, good morals is most certainly one of the reasons that made the US the strongest country on Earth since the Roman Empire. It will be the same reason that in the next 50 years it will end up like the Roman Empire. In my opinion.
