The board is a little slow here. My last question didn't get any answer. I know it was a little specific, so I sent Dr. Amor the same question. I did get a response, in the polite message they reply, they didn't answer my question?? Regardless, plan to revisit Cali after a long absence is still on. Booked my Avianca ticket, and looking forward to my upcoming trip.

Cali is not what it used to be 17,18 years ago as I read. There are certain challenges for guys to come to enjoy what Cali offers, so it is not for the faint of heart type. But on the other hand, that is also why it stays off the radar and preferred by guys who want to stay off the beaten path.

The WSG server had been down for a few days, so I turned elsewhere and gathered info reading reviews on Doncolombia. I think this is a forum that has more Cali traffic than any other Colombian cities, BOG and MDE included. If you are a casa guy, or you scout talents on the internet websites, this is a good source to find useful local info. There you can find more options than what has been discussed here or on World Travel's Map. But you have to be able to read in Spanish, or spend more efforts and use Google Translate.

I used to have a buddy who moved here from the States, and I came visit him often. He had a Calea girlfriend and rented a penthouse with an outdoor Jacuzzi on the hill in Granada where we had some ridiculous but very fun moments. Cali was the epicenter of marriage agencies in Colombia back then, and you could see gringos roaming all over the city. Old timers know what I am talking about. Things have changed I think.

I am excited for this trip, and don't have a certain expectation. Whatever comes my way. Will report back.

Planning a trip back to Cali after a long absence (16-17 years). Glad to see the old candy store, Dr Amore is still kicking, and just like before it is still the place to go for some top notch Caleas. I don't remember if it is the same house from back then, but certainly looks a lot better and updated from outside now.

I noticed on their website that they offer jacuzzi suite now different from the regular suite with additional charge. Has anyone here ever tried that option?
