An example of a "cheap charlie" in my eyes is a person with a professional position such as a pilot who is making a professional salary and who has the ability to pay for nice accomodations, but refuses to, because he is worried about spending a few dollars more for a little luxury, such as having the convienences of a pool, room service, maid service, restaurants on location e.c.t., despite the fact he might be well off financially. A person who goes to the beach carrying a 6 pack of the cheapest beer they can find, instead of providing the beach vendors an opportunity to make a few dollars, despite having a good size bank account. A person who leaves a 100 peso tip for a waiter who provided them great service on a dinner for two in a fine dining restaurant where the dinner might have cost 100,000 pesos. A person who will not spend money for a good pair of quality jeans and a nice dress shirt, that they can afford, but choose to walk around dressed in the same clothes they wore in the 80's.

My best definition of a Cheap Charlie is a person who is more worried about how much money they are spending on their vacation rather than having a good time, despite the fact the money they are spending on their vacation will not in the least bit effect them financially.

As I stated in the opening line of my post, it was not directed in response to anyone who has posted on this thread.

As to your question about who is being belligerent, as I clearly indicated in my original post, my "belligerent" comment was directed toward a number of guys I've run into while in Colombia.

I believe you've somehow mis-comprehended my post as being directed to you. If so, you are mistaken.

As my original post stated, people have different likes and dislikes. Different preferences, etc. There isn't a right or wrong or an I'm better than the next guy in whether you pay $50 a night or $100 night.

The spirit of my post was to say---to each his own. I can't imagine that such a message is difficult to discern.

My thoughts aren't directed to anyone in particular posting on this thread.

A night's stay in a hotel room at Cali Plaza is $60 (including taxes). One night in a one bedroom apartment is $80. Yeah, you're spending a little more, but it's clean, with a decent reputation and management, and you get some helpful conveniences, such as WiFi and a cell phone to use.

I think the two bedroom apartment is probably around $100. Yeah, seems a little high for Cali, but I don't think it's in the "rip-off" category.

My hunch is that this is another one of those issues where there really isn't a right or wrong, or where one is better than the other. Instead, probably more about one's personal likes, dislikes, preferences, etc.

I've been exposed to an inordinate number of gringos in Colombia who spend more time going-on (belligerently) about how they are paying less than the next guy for something (no matter how insignificant), etc, than they do spending time layin' the pipe to the chicas.

Define what a "cheap charlie" is, Rural tamelife? Oh I get it someone that can do some research and find a better deal than $ 100 a night. The Cali Plaza is nice, but what is got for $ 55 a night is much better, much bigger, away from the main drag, secure, etc.

I stayed there on several occasions and it is a great place, and you have nightlife all around you! It is somewhat on the expensive side, so it is not for the cheap charlie types, or those on a limited budget, so to answer your question yes.

Has nice apartments for about $ 100 a night, in a safe area, but one can find a nice aprtment for $ 50-60 a night if one knows who to contact. The flip side is that there is a a few guys (arthur brode and www.sotb.com) that ctare to gringos. I am paying $ 55 a night for a 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment one block from Chippichappe next month. I would have prefered something near the south, but it is impossible to find.

What ever happened to Flores Frescas (aka La Mansion), I understand that it used to have an awesome lesbian show. Did it close?

They still have the lesbi-show at la mansion. The ladies there have some of the most wildest bodies I have seen all my life. If you like chics with big asses it is the place to find them in Cali. Be careful action in house is much more expensive then anywhere else in Cali.

The lesbi show starts at around 11:30 or midnight and it was pretty good he chics were hot and the show lasted about 15min. The chics would eat each out out then use some dildo and they strap ons on each other. When the show was done the ladies come around and ask for tips which was ok as they did put on a very good show.

I have to start out my thanking Cubanut for introducing us to Castle Cali.

Although the accommodations are not quite up to to what you have at the Medellin Mansion. However, Juan Carlos and his staff made our stay very comfortable and were extremely helpful. He personally came to the airport to pick Chuck and I up. Taking Us right to the castle. Seeing Us get settled in and then off we went to visit some of the many Casas and Massage Parlors Cali has to offer. In MHO Cali is no Medellin as far as it's landscapes. Again, if you are there to monger this is something else. There are definitely many more places to find girls. The prices were better than Medellin and the talent every bit as good. Unfortunately we picked a Holiday weekend to go and thus lost a day of mongering.

I would definitely recommend Cali as an alternative to Medellin for our sport. I met this girl who did things to me that I never experienced in my entire sexual life. I will definitely go back and see her. Her name is Angelica and she works at Farrons. Spent two nights with her.

One more thing. There are not many gringos in Cali. So if you are nervous in Medeliin or Cartagena or any place other than Poblado I would not recommend going. I don't think it is for the "faint of heart".
