Are you asking for too much with the de4scription that you posted: not at all! One of the things that surprised me the most out of Cali is that there is something for everyone. 2) Too much age difference and situation difference. Don't forget that if a girl is 30 down here, she probably still live with her mom and dad. They have a lot to learn when they hit the real life. Depending if you want to care for her or a team mate that actually supports you, you may want to look at that criteria.
3) English: all women will say that they speak English. But it's bullshit, they really don't. If you have the language barrier and the culture barrier, that accumulates. If you can at least drop the language barrier from there, then you're working towards a better chance of getting things right.

Bottom line, I think, is that if you find a girl that you feel good with and that cries because she doesn't want to leave Colombia and just does it because she likes you, then you hit the jack pot. Take a year to enjoy her and make sure there's no hidden defects and then start producing kids to do us all a favor.

I'm coming to South America the end of June and was just going to Rio, SP and BA in Arg but now after your post I'm coming to Cali.

In 1995 I met this girl in Hong Kong and we hit it of and she said she came from Cali and the most beautifull girls come from Cali in all South America, I beleived her then and after your post it just confirms it.

Great post Antifreeze! I've gotten the opportunity to travel to Cali several times once for a period of 3 month last year, I had a girlfriend that I met in Panama, she was from Cali blew me away until I set foot in Cali and saw so many females that looked as good or even better than my girl and like my girl friendly and approchable. I enjoyed Cali so much, I didn't want to leave when it came time for me to go back to the states. Almost got married in Cali but I was fucking around so much behind my girlfriend back that at one point she found out that I had fucked her cousin, its increadible all of her female cousins are so fucking beautiful and all of them treated me like a GOD, I often wonder if I could live in Cali. When I was in Cali I rented a aparthotel in a great neighborhood, it was right across the street from the casino of the intercontinental hotel, the name of the place was Rayda nice apartments it cost me 275 a month great service anything I wanted they would get, female friendly, cleaned my room every day even did my laundry, matter of fact the owner offer to sell me an apartment, about two blocks from Escocia a bar full of pros. a great place to pick up females. one of the reason why 'la semana santa' sucks so much is because their religion prevent them from opening their legs during that week. it's a bit special, but i spoke about that to a couple of ladies and they do follow that rule. that is, during the entire week they do not have sex. so the availability of ladies goes down dramaticaly and the ones that are available is not really that much of an experience. i'd believe that xmas will be different since it is the time of the year where they get wild during la feria.

here's a quick note about ladies in colombia. it is so much of a change from the us that it is just plain incredible that it is on the same planet. the ladies that you will meet in closed houses are extremely decent persons that, most of them, ended there by a series of misfortune of life. i met one which lost her husband in a moto accident (motorcycle is extremely dangerous here) and is left alone to take care of her kid. so she does that because she has to. there are many like that. the bottom line is that for a cali woman to prostitute herself, she needs less of a rupture with herself than for anywhere else i know. that is, sex is good and fun for them, and they do not throw this in the back alley of their mind. so, when times are difficult, they fall back on that. i met a lot of them that are student and do this part time in order to continue studying. treat them with respect since they are respectful person that handle their responsibilities what ever the price. showing them respect will often result in getting some extra on the job.

as for the women that are not in closed houses, it is also impressive. they are almost full time in the business of attracting men. they spend a fortune on clothes. they'll go ahead and get a boob job or fix anything that will end up giving them an advantage to get a man. i know many of my wife's friends that got boob and or nose jobs and are just drop dead georgious. i often walk on the street and cross a georgious woman that will look at me directly in my eyes (in the us she would probably spit her gum under my shoes before looking away really fast). i am so unused to this that i am the one looking away when that happens. silly me! i guess i'll need some time to get used to that. bottom line is that you are not a threat to them here, you are a treat. they will not only give you the time of the day, but will also give you all her time from her day.

I was in Cali last year right before XMas. It was a blast, lots of fiestas on Avenida Sexta. I remember meeting a lot of chicas visiting from other cities in Colombia for the Cali Festival ... think it's spelled the 'ferria'.
Good time to be there. PFP scene was good too that week.
Easter week is different. It's the 'semana santa' which is more tranquilo.

I've been to the place at Av. 2 Norte #24N105 and it ended up pretty good. For an half hour it is 27 000 pesos (a little less than $10USD). I chose a girl named Clara. She is 20 years old and has an ass that you could follow to hell. The room was great. They even put some energy into putting a pseudo-romantic mood in there (better than the other places where it is pretty raw). Clara was delicious although she did not perform anything fancy (not even oral sex). She works at that place for only 3 weeks, so I can understand the lack of diversity or else. Just one negative note, is that the host tried to charge me 30 000 pesos for the half hour. I felt that he was not genuine about the price, so I asked him if he is sure about the price because I heard different (as if I did, but in reality did not). At which point he lowered the price to 27 000 pesos.

I am just coming back from another session at la Clinica del amor (Av. 2Norte #23N23), but this time paid for one hour with a lady that I tried before and rocked my world (34000 pesos = $12USD). Once again, the selection of women was great. This place is really the best bet one could take if in town for a couple of days only.

I also found another place near there. The address is Av. 2Norte #24N105. Should you go there, you will see just a normal residence, like most of those places, they do not advertize much, you need to ring and they'll open. There were 4 decent girls but didn't care to taste any of them. The good thing about that area is that there are at least 4 places to go at walking distance. So, if one is bad, get to the next one.

antifreeze has it right about the finca raíz. Unless you have a landlord who is used to working in a US/European manner you will have to own property, or have a cofiadoro (cosignator) who does.

I've never heard about putting down 6 months deposit. Maybe that would work, or maybe a secured bank account with the money in it to be paid out monthly?

MRC, renting an appartment is cheap but you have to bend over backwards for all the requirements related to paperwork. That is, most probably, the landlord will ask for someone to endorse that has what is called "propredad raise" (owns a house in Colombia) and has some revenue. So, assuming that you don't have any family down here, it basically kills the deal. The way around this, is to give a full 6 months of rent up front. But, beware, should you get burned, you do not have a great legal system behind you to help you get your money back. So, overall, renting is a risky business. Buying is also somewhere risky, although it is cheap. If you buy, make sure that you occupy the place. If the place was used by someone that you don't even know for 2 years, that person now owns the place. That is part of a special law targeting to help all the people displaced by war. So, one of 2 things. You live in there, or you pay (or charge rent) with a correct notarized contract to someone where it is clearly stipulated that you still own the place. Consult a lawyer. I may have said a lot of false things based on fragmented information.

Living in Colombia is just plain fun and excitement. When you wake up in the morning, you basicaly don't have a clue how your day is going to flow, and you are almost always hapilly surprised. Way different then the US where you wake up and get on the cruise control for a full day to complete and get to the next one (everything is way too predictable there - which affects your prospects of getting surprised).

Living in Colombia is like getting back to the 70's. People will stop and actually talk to you. You can't go and see someone for 2 minutes, you need to stop and accept their coffee and that is a good thing. Women are beautiful and georgious at the same time. They are not affraid to be feminine and will compete with other women to get to you (doesn't that feel great).
