Good to know -- generally speaking, do prepagos come in with enough infrequency that I should be fine if my room is double occupancy? Not that I don't intend to get a healthy amount of casas in, just want to know if the option's there. I have no idea about prepagos. In Cali I only deal with non-pros. (Exceptions: once did a street girl in a short time hotel and 1 session at La20 which was on site.) In the hotel that I stay in I have never noticed any hookers. And keep in mind that Cali is not a town that foreigners vacation in. For the most part I have seen businessmen from Colombia or other Spanish-speaking countries in the hotels that I have stayed in.

I have found that in general if a girl does not stay the night or more than a few hours then they will not charge for the second person. You need to be careful in Colombia with double occupancy. Sometimes it means double the price. So if you don't for sure have a chick staying with you then it is best to play it by ear - book single and pay any extra as it comes along.

My first time going to Cali me and 2 wingmen had to stay overnight in Bogota. Since we would only be there a few hours we decided that we only needed 1 room with 3 beds. When time came to pay the bill and check out the next day we found out that 3 rooms with 1 bed each would have been the same damn price.

Good Evening everyone.

Wanted to provide a short summary report so far of my first few days. Very excellent so far although haven't mongered as much as I would of liked mainly to being exhausted traveling all day on Sat. From TX. This as well as doing all my logistics blew out my entire first full day on Sunday however not all establishments open anyways so worked out ok. Also changed hotels today and lost a few hours Monday just traveling around but was fun. Got to see some more of Cali and will take the Mio some more.

So on to the yum stuff. First session was at Dr. Amor's Monday just before noon. Smallish lineup due to the gals just getting in to work with Sun. Off. There were 6 in lineup and I anxious to get a first session took tall Luciana a Paisa from Medellin who also works at Loutron there. She very nice (full service) and reverse cow girled me until I good and happy. I asked her if I could "comer her vagina" and she rejected but didn't spoil the session. Not a mandatory item for me and sometimes I just like to ask whether or not they will just to see what they say. Oh yeah regarding the drogas questions I had they sell Zopiclona (Zolipem / Ambien generic) over the counter cheap cheap no Rx required. So I took care of that but not bringing any back into US as is a control drug. Did also find a mild muscle relaxant (Metocarbamol) that is not sold in USA but not a control drug so can try some when I get back to USA.

Thanks for the regular posts everyone. Usually when I go on a trip whether to CO, CR or MX I go back about 6 mos for the latest.

I have been to Colombia over 10 times but this was my first time out in Cali. Cali is as cheap as people say but I was disappointed in the quality. Girls in Quito, Panama and Cartagena who are from Cali are better looking than those who stay behind.

Eventos Lizz. Was free to get in, had about a dozen girls ranging from 4's to 6's. Beer was 3000 (just over $1).

Dr Amor had 25 girls but was too much of an assembly line for my liking. Also free to get in with 3000 beer, but we were sitting on coaches close to other guys and when girls would free up, they would come through and tell you their name. Then they would go out of sight. That process made it hard to pick.

La 20. This was really a cheap place to drink. Less than $1 a beer and no cover!

But the girls constantly go back and forth between La 20 1 and 2 and the best looking ones made themselves unavailable. Which made me think they were paid to come in and look like hookers but they were not. They would not make eye contact and would run when approached. Not one of them had a customer.

Those girls were 8's and 9's while the others were in the 5-7 range.

This bar is close to some really seedy areas. Zombie drug addics and fires in the road and people who won't move for traffic.

Olimpus was closed when we got there, really obscure place.

Tangas Club is also obscure. It had triple the beer prices of the others but no cover. The girls were 100,000 for one hour and they had the best looking girls of the ones we went to. All 7 of them were in the 8-9 range making it hard to decide.

Will be back down CO finally after a year long hiatus next week and in my free time and for hopefully less money looking to get some regular Dr. Consults and prescriptions filled. The Rxs do require Doctors notes andsome CO triplicate control drug forms however they are not illegal with the proper paperwork. So my question is other than the expensive Clinicas and Hospitals are there walk in clinics or smaller less expensive Independent above the board Doc. Offices for this type of service?

This IS NOT about me being in CO and trying to get crazy high all day with black market hard drugs but is about trying to treat some pre-exisiting musco-skeletal and insomnia conditions that I either do not have the time to jump through all the hoops in the US and pay all the inflated US Dr. Visit fees (now even with insurance). Plus these treatments I only take at night when safe in bed so can rest and recover for nice long hard days of mongering.

A little about my monger life. Hooked on it since was 23 in the Navy (now 49) and have experienced it around the world. Been to CO and CR combined 60 times +/- the last 10 years.

I'm actually pretty excited for Cali; chicas aside, my original trip just called for CTG and MDE, but it seemed like a waste to go all the way to Colombia and not take a salsa class in the mecca. It looks like the weather forecast for next month is 90 F with a chance of rain -- I can't say I'm looking forward to packing button-down shirts and pants as opposed to shorts and jerseys I got used to in the DR. Why doesn't anyone ever start "casual Fridays" in these hot ass countries?

Jeans and a short sleeve short are fine for Cali. Generally shorts are only common in cities on the ocean (throughout Latin America).

You should be aware that they have sort of a unique style of dancing in Cali. It's not something you're likely to use many other places. I don't know how advanced your dancing is, but if you're just learning, and you live in a big City in the US, you're much better off learning at home. But yes, you should definitely go out dancing in Cali. Remember -- with a group. The only club where you might be OK going just you and your buddy would be TinTinDeo.

Sure you can walk to Dr. Amor, but by the time you get there you will soaked with sweat.

I did it from C. C. Chipichape over to Bis 2 N, and down to av. 2 N, checking out the places.

Not much fun. Take a taxi around 5-6 k.

Dr. Amor isn't very far at all from Hotel Spiwak. I've walked that exact route (from Chipichapi to Dr Amor) many times, though some would prefer to taxi it.

Regarding Salsa, as far as I know, there's no studio real close to your Hotel. You will have to take a taxi for that. I highly recommend Son de Luz en the Alameda area. If you go for a few classes, you can talk to the teachers and other students about joining them out for a night of dancing in Cali, which would be worth your while.

I'm not sure if they have English speaking staff. Another school, Swing Latino, is larger, and probably more likely to have English-speaking teachers. It's not terribly far from Son de Luz, so you could hit both places in the same day / night for a class or just to speak with the staff. Having said that, dance is mostly taught by watching, observing, and doing, so language won't be absolutely necessary.

If you can, try to go to Chango in Juanchito. It's a long taxi ride, but worth it. Fantastic club, IMO better than anything in Havana. Big groups play here, like Lebron Brothers, Sonora Poncena, et al. And the club is loaded with hot non-pro Calenas. However, it's better to go with a group, including some chicas.

Though my patchwork Spanish is probably enough to barely get me through a lesson, my buddy doesn't speak a lick (how a Latino from BK can't speak a drop of Spanish is beyond me, but oh well) and I'd at least like a place tolerant of that sorta clientele.

I've surmised from older posts that the hotel is chica-friendly, but I'm not entirely sure where my closest opportunity will be in terms of location -- any suggestions?
