I'll be in Cali in July. It's my first time in Cali but not to Colombia. I am looking for a guide during the first few days of being in Cali. To get a feel for the scene and where my hotel is. I heard Uber is your best bet for transportation. Would anyone recommend finding a driver? Or is Uber good enough to move around. I'll be staying at the gran hotel. Hope this is centrally located.

I've stayed at the Gran Hotel many times over the years. Its right there next to Ave. Sexta. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants, bars etc. In the heart of the Granada district.

At this point I've connected with over 70 guys and there's even a small expat community here in Cali.

I haven't "retired" But it's different for an expat when surrounded by options you don't feel motivated to chase.

Besides I've kind of said all that needs to be said about the scene in Cali in general.

This is NOT Medellin or Cartagena and if you're only issue with Carty or Meddy is the prices you might find Cali while being cheaper is also much much slower. Most of the clubs that guys go to are primarily open either in the Day Time or nights Thursday through Sunday.

Obviously you can still have a good time during the week here but it's not nearly as in your face as Meddy and Carty.

I'm back home now after 14 days in Colombia, mainly in Cali and a few days in Pereira. Had a good time, I really enjoyed the food, weather, people, culture and the chicas. Had 15 sexos w 8 different chicas. Quite a few in Bar Son Sonero and along Cra. 8. Some tidbits:

A few months back people said Bar Son Sonero was closed for a while. The reason according to the doorman was the "epidemia".

Question what is the address of Cyber World, it appears its not on Ave 6 at 17.

One time, there was a Venny sitting around talking to her friend, and not showing any interest. However, I liked her body, and her girlish, glasses wearing face really appealed to me. Despite her total lack of interest while in the bar, she was just fine once we went up to the room. Had a decent session for 50 k (I upgraded to a room with a bed, rate in the booth was 30 K). Only 3 chicas there when I went, probably no reason to go there, with the other options in Cali, unless very convenient to where you are staying. Though my session there did begin with BBBJ.

I tried Caras Lindas, had the same chica that DoneDeal recently wrote about. Was 70 k for 20 minutes, definitely a higher class operation than the others, rooms had AC, which was turned on while I was there. Only had 3 chicas available, but the one DD and I had was indeed a very nice one, no complaints.

I tried a SW on Carrera 8, near Bar 20. It was the only less than enjoyable session I had, probably my fault, as it was late, and I didn't want to pay extra for the room (she quoted 50 K plus 10 K for room), so she agreed, but wasn't happy.
