Prices are OK but how is quality and quantity as compared to Medellin? I hope not 1/10th in either of these two.

First thing, people are saying that San Sonero is closed. I will be in Cali next month to find out if its only a temporary closing or if its closed permanently. I always went in there in the late afternoon and found a large selection of chicas, 20-25. If your scoring by looks only this isn't the best selection. Rough on the edges types. But always lots of sexy women in there.

Bar La 20, same story, I go there in the late afternoon on and found at least 20-25 chicas to choose from. Many are good looking / hot sexy women in my eyes. With a good variety of white, latinas and black chicas. Drinks are cheap and no pressure to drink fast.

Street walkers: kind of hit and miss by street and location. Sometimes theres a lot of chicas out there and sometimes not. Looks: not really that good looking, maybe a jewel in the rough once in a while. The Hotel Rey, Calle 21 has some fairly decent looking selection of women.

But its for your Eyes Only of what you consider good looking. Out.

The Cali street prices for chicas in the Carrera 8 area is 40-50 K plus 10 K for room. In Bar La20 its 80-90 K for a half hour. In San Sonero its 50-60 K plus 10 K for the room for a half hour.

Other than Dr. Amor I'm guessing the other places have closed or renamed.

I guess the high end spots like the Deluxe VIP club and Tangas VIP are the other go to's.

I heard that the marraige agencies have closed too.

You're correct now that the Peace Process is ongoing the rush to migrate by any means neccesary has dissapated.

I had to be taken to hospital after a 2 hour ambulance journey on an unmetalled road to a hospital. No fractures but the pain was immense for 10 days and now 4 weeks later I still have pain. Couldn't go home. A 15 hour plane journey was out the question. So my sex life has been zero apart from one lovely massage girl in Medellin. And I was in pain getting of the table.

Anyway thanks to this thread I will try Caras Lindas tomorrow as I am in Cali. I can speak a little Spanish too. So wish me a painless session.

At this point I've connected with over 70 guys and there's even a small expat community here in Cali.

I haven't "retired" But it's different for an expat when surrounded by options you don't feel motivated to chase.

Besides I've kind of said all that needs to be said about the scene in Cali in general.

This is NOT Medellin or Cartagena and if you're only issue with Carty or Meddy is the prices you might find Cali while being cheaper is also much much slower. Most of the clubs that guys go to are primarily open either in the Day Time or nights Thursday through Sunday.

Obviously you can still have a good time during the week here but it's not nearly as in your face as Meddy and Carty.

If I were you I'd focus on a massage based session. I haven't been to Katmandu spa in a long time but I must say that they give some of the best massages in the business and of course pussy is on the menu.

I'm in Cali now. Saw several trannies in the park mentioned in another post. Took a taxi to Bar la 20 walked over to the gas station found a nice looking Colombian for 50 k. Hopped back in a taxi got back to my room and watched the Benavidez Plant fight then went to bed. The information you get on this board is invaluable. Many thanks!

There are definitely NO street walkers in and around Avenida 9 in the Grenada neighborhood. Only bars, restaurants, shops and residences. It gets busy evenings and nights, especially towards the weekends with pedestrians and patrons. I've met some good people there. The Centanario Mall is within walking distance. There are some nice nonpros there. Also Caras Lindas is within walking distance. Take a cab to Bar La 20 from there. Try the chicharrones across the street from Bar La 20 if you like chicharrones. 9 K. Street Walkers seemed to be prevalent near Bar La 20 and near the gas station and surrounding streets. They are out and even frequent the food establishment across the street from Bar La 20.

As TripleD has noted, Cali may not be as active as some other cities. Esp. Mid-week. But I still like it. The all-night thunderstorms no doubt kept people indoors, although the heavy rain did not start to fall until after midnight. At around 9:00 I went to check on the possible SW scene on Avenida 6 Norte. The cab driver dropped me at Avenida 9 -- Granada neighborhood -- and I walked around. It was Monday night and the weather was unpredictable, but the streets were packed with people. Cars everywhere, even on sidewalks, making walking dangerous. This area has many restaurants and bars and the throngs of people moving about felt like a concert had just let out. I found a great bar called Legend on Avenida 9 and 16 N. Very chill vibe there. Moved on to Ave. 6 and walked from 16 N to 21 and saw no women. This street has taken a back seat to what is going on up on Ave 9 and 9 A. Not a single SW. I cabbed it to Bar La 20. The bouncer frisked me. I asked if girls showed up tonight because they didn't last night. His words. Domingo es suave. Well, live and learn. Inside were about 6 girls and about 20 men. All below average in appearance. No one dancing. I had a drink and decided to walk down Calle 21. First checked out Son Sonero. Once again, closed and dark. The girls along 21 were getting used to me now and that is not necessarily a good thing. I was looking for a girl who promised me on Sunday she'd be there on Monday. Surprise, she was not there. Found another girl and 50 k later plus tip I had my needs met. There was little expectation for any action, so I was happy enough to spend a half hour with a cute Venezuelana. One more night in Cali and then it's on to Bogota. Primarily to get dental work done. But will seek out familiar faces in Santa Fe. Adios compadres.

When I came here I said the weather was like a sunny Seattle or London.

Turns out last year was a wierd year with the La Nina weather patterns. The weather has been much better this year. Except right now. The Rainy period has started and during Mid March and April it rains a bit more. This puts a damper on all activities since most bars clubs and restaurants and even the major malls are partially open air. It doesn't mean that there's zero fun just a little muted. Obviously it affects the Street walker scene much more.

Kepp this in mind when planning your trips.

There are no SWs on Avenida 6, never have been. Some guys have said that at the far end by a park there were SWs but mostly trannys there. The old timers say back in the distant past there were SWs on Ave. 6 but not now. Son Sonero sounds like its closed. Maybe its a remodeling and will open later on. I spent a lot of fun time there, drinking that Colombian beer, and having sexo w the girls.

Back in the day it was packed with SW. Back when Ave 6 was a rockin place to hang.

There are daytime operations around town, from 9 AM to 9 PM, and I thought I'd avail myself to their services. A lot of choices with little written about recently on the Cali thread. Dr. Amor looked interesting. I liked the Jacuzzi idea, and though the prices are a bit higher than other places, the website was intriguing. Got there around 5:00. Couldn't figure out how to get in the place as the outside door was locked. Called in and no one answered, but I saw the interior door open. Peering through the shrubbery I saw the parking lot to the left. Went around the corner and entered through the parking lot. (Perhaps obvious to others; wasn't to me.). Frisked and greeted by a dude who led me to a viewing area. Contrary to what is posted on the website, there were only 8 girls and all were older Mamas. Wouldn't think even one was under 30 and a couple in their 40's. They greeted me and shook my hand. Nothing special. Since they closed in a couple of hours I didn't expect anything better to show up. Disappointed, I went to plan B which was Cara's Lindas. Walked over to Avenida 6 and back up towards Calle 17 N. (BTW, my only guide on this trip is what I find on this website, specifically the fine map made by WT. It was this map that indicated the presence of SW on Ave 6. Last time in Cali I did see SWs on this street, and chatted two of them up. That was during CoVid, so I had high hopes. Anyway, I will defer to the expertise of others on this matter.) Entered Caras Lindas, was frisked by Pacho. Then, as a bonus, I was also frisked by the first young lady to come out and present herself. It was funny because I did not expect it, and she gave my naughty bits an extra little squeeze. In all only 8 ladies available -- it's 5:30 PM -- and all relatively good looking. In the 6 to 8 range. Since arriving in Cali I have learned not to expect much on a Tuesday. So I was happy enough to see these sexy ladies, dressed in sexy clothing, and smiling at me. Chose Sharon, who has been written about before on this site. She looks to be in her mid twenties but told me later she's 33. Very hot body. Very much GFE. 45 minutes for 100 k is her rate. DFK and a gentle voice. Did BBBJ for an extra 50 k (not at all standard for Caras Lindas). Very attentive and did whatever I asked her. I liked her cheerful, funny manner. Then back to San Antonio and my favorite empanada lady. Unless you come on a Friday or Saturday, Cali may require some planning to get the most out of your time. For me it's a low-key place and the people are lovely. Reaffirmed by the attentive care of one afternoon in Caras Lindas. Hasta luego, muchachos.
