In Bogota I am unable to breathe, walk up a flight of steps, and have to take my life in my hands to go to Santa Fe. Not so in Cali, Medellin or other cities.

The altitude in Bogota is no joke, but I didn't find the crime in Santa fe to be that concerning. The gangs make money selling drugs in Santa Fe, crimes (especially against gringos) brings police which hurts their drug sales. They have incentive to maintain order.

I found el centro in medellin to be more dangerous than Santa fe, I still loved the place but I had a phone almost snatched from my hand, and was 10 feet away when a knife fight broke out between two homeless over a couple of loose coins. Also there is nothing like "the bronx" in Santa fe, an area so fucked even the cops flee at night.

How does Cali compare to Bogota?

How does Cali compare to Bogota? Bogota has plenty of cheap options. No cover bars with 40 k for 30 min and 70 k for an hour with no pressure to buy a drink. Any bars like this in Cali?

Also, in Santa Fe you could find streetie sweeties that will do 30 k to 50 k domicilio for an hour once you get to know them. Is this possible with street girls in Cali? What do they charge on the street for 30-60 minutes and what do the hotels charge?

Yes, that's Bar Olimpus. Just a standard entrance for these sorts of places in Cali. And elsewhere in Colombia. Low key is a better way to describe it. Usually a guy at the door asking for a cover charge. Less than 10 bucks, I think. I have felt totally safe in and around this place. The neighborhood is kind of residential, although it's near a busy avenue. No worries.

Nice lengthy report Edward. I was in Cali in September and March and also Nov. Of 2021. I saw alot of SWs in the Carrera 8 area; especially outside Sansonero and the area around Calle 20 and along Carrera 10 there are short time hotels with 3-4 girls standing out front. Also along Calle 21,20 and 19. You mentioned Hotel El Rey, I usually saw 3-4 chicas out front of there.

Bar Sansonero usually had lots of chicas inside bet. 4-6 pm 20-30 in number. Plaza Caicedo you have to approach the chicas there. They know the game. But its a not place for good looking, high end chicas.

The famous "flower shop" is where theres alot of SW chicas on Carrera 10.

Thank you BB for the info. I'm pretty sure the variation was partly Covid, partly the month I was visiting, and partly random. I know the avenue you are talking about. Avenue 8 has been good to me, but not consistent. One of my most memorable moments was with a chica outside the Hotel Rey (reported some years back on the forum). Which is one reason I keep going back.

I will definitely look for the "famous flower shop". Wondering what makes it famous. Make more sense if it were a "de-flowering" shop, but maybe I'm missing something.

Cra. 10 near Calle 21 is the busy street where there are restaurants and bars, but more for hanging out. SW might go there for food, but not for customers. Between Cra 8 and 10 along Calle 21 (I think) I used to see more SW pre Covid than now. I'm heading there in March and love the atmosphere down there. Sort of wild and dangerous, without being very dangerous. I hope the girls have returned in the numbers you suggest in your response. Just feels creepy because it's night time to be walking along empty streets. I wouldn't walk down any dark alleys, but most streets are well lit at night. Last time I was there the guys out front of Sansonero tried to get me to go in. But there were no girls inside. Must have been an off night. But I have visited that bar a couple of times and have not found the girls. Again, could just be the time of year or the fact that Covid was still lingering.

Also, I have never seen an attractive woman hanging out at Plaza Calcedo. No one under the age of 40 at least. I keep walking around that plaza and I see no girls plying the trade.

I have read old reports about Avenida 6 being popular with SWs. Not now, but in the past. I have randomly met a few wandering around there but it did not appear to be a place where SWs post up. Perhaps due to the increase in the tourist trade. But I would think it would be a natural place for SW to walk. Can't figure that out. Any luck on Ave 6 lately?

Lastly. Since I know I am rambling. I am surprised that there is not more talk about the bar called Bar Olimpus. Carerra 28 # 6-37. The place is filled with naked woman walking around. A great place to sit back and sip a beer, watching the girls come and go. I admire the hutzpah of these chicas to hang out nude all evening. Talent is perhaps slightly lower than your typical Calenas girl, but still quite something to see. And I have not read much about the place on this site. Well, not much is written in general about Cali. Great city. Wonderful people. Best empanadas. And friendly females. Of course, to each his or her own empanada.

Has anyone ventured in the streets around Bar Veinte? I've done it but with mixed results. On the corner there used to be SW's hanging out. A few trannys. But not in my more recent visits. Leaving Bar20 you head towards the avenue. Then you make a right and walk down down that busier street (where the gas station is) you see SWs hanging in the shadows. Eventually, you arrive at a busy street with restaurants where locals go to drink and play. But by then the SW element has disappeared. Twice I struck gold within a 4 block radius of Bar 20, but at least six other times there was nada. Wondering A) has anyone had luck with SW in that area and B) is there a better area in Cali to see / meet SWs? Gracias.

I've been to Bar La 20 and the surrounding area dozens of times over the years. The SWs are at Calle 20 and Carrera 8, also at Calle 19 just outside the bar. Go up 19 all the way to Carrera 10 turn left on 10 near the famous flower shop, and go to Calle 21, turn left down 21 eventually you get to the gas station theres SWs all along the way. Keep going to Calle 7 a and you will find Hotel El Rey, theres chicas out front there. Also check out Bar Sansonero at the corner of Carrera 8 and Calle 19. I hang out at Bar La20 and Sansonero a lot.

Another place for SWs is Plaza Caicedo downtown Cali.

I walked by this hotel on many occasions and I agree that this is a good, safe location. Even better, it's close to so many restaurants and regular bars, so there are a lot of options for hanging out when not "playing".

Not sure of the rates, but it seems nice from the outside.
