The hotel offered me the service which made life easier. my cali adventure

i arrived in cali at 7:50pm for the first time and with the information i had been given wsg and the cali list i was deep into a cali chica at 9:30 pm. i got to the airport and security there was tight. they had four different types of police and military working. my ride was on time and waiting for me with a sign with my name and a sign say “merican airline”; which i thought was hilarious to me, merican that was classic to me. the ride cost 40k peso [$17]. i went to my room at the apartohotel del rio in north cali.

i did not at anytime feel in danger or unsafe while in cali. i did do something i should not have done but over all never felt threatened. i was alert of anything and everyone around at all times.

getting around the city was not that bad, traffic does get really bad in the a.m. and the late afternoon. unlike costa rica they actual have street signs that work and make sense. taxis have meters and i had no problems getting a cab or going where i needed to just have the address. i cannot over state that spanish is a must, if you plan to make your trip a truly memorable one. english speakers are rare here, just advice to the non-spanish speaker but don’t let that stop you. a goodtime can still be had.
