I was at the Dann Carlton last year, (Oct-05) and they didnt give me any grief, however, they did mention if you bring a girl in after 10pm, she has to check in with the front desk. (for security reasons) they didnt charge me extra, as I had many girls stay over night.

if you have $$$ to burn, I'd stay at Casa de Alferez. I like the Torre de Cali (run by Spanish group GHL Hoteles), one block from the Sheraton and half the price (plus no guest fees!). InterC is where the clients of the marriage agencies and other clueless newbies stay. If you speak no Spanish, then maybe you'll feel comfortable at the InterC.

I have an upcoming trip to Cali and have been reading the Cali reports to find out hotel "choices" - The Intercontintal and Sheraton both were mentioned. Some like the Intercontinental and do not recommend the Sheraton because of "guest" fee. Others recommend the Sheraton and disprove of the Intercontinental.
Hopefully one "expert" can give me some guidance. I am not into the MP scene and usually have "outcall" service in my hotel room.
Which way do I go? Sheraton or Intercontinental??

OK, I sacrificed myself this weekend and went to grab asses and addresses in Pereira. I know that the Cali section may not be the best place to put this report, but there's no Pereira section (could someone open one for me please).

Overall, I'd say that Pereira is pretty good. Contrary to my initial thoughts some places are open during the day, but most of the fun is at night. Girls are of better quality than what I've seen in Cali, but mongering is also more expensive than Cali (that is the big surprise).

Here it goes.

Top place for quality and choice of women plus ambiance:

- Flores Frescas (in Pereira). About 25 girls when I've been there (6 to 9 for their looks). The place is clean, good music, etc... The downside: as soon as you get in, you are seated and are "ordered" to order a dring. Cheapest drink available is about $40 000 (pretty steep) - no beer available. Calle 26 No 6-15, phone 336-8082 or 333-2125. Getting a girl upstairs will cost you a minimum of 80 000 for the half hour and I got mine for 110 000 for the hour. Adding the dring over that will mean a pretty expensive night in town...

- Star club. Comparable to the San-Diego strip club from Medellin. Could be a good place to hang out with a buddy and sip an inexpensive beer to get started during the night. Cra 13 #19-48 (frente del parque Olaya). Phone 335-6499.

- Amstel discoteca. This is a discotheque with plenty of working girls. Good quality of women. Cra 35 #10-11. Phone 326-4554.

- La whiskeria. This place is downtown. Also pretty good quality. Service is 40 000 + 20 000 for the room. It's open from 8PM to 2AM. Avenida del ferrocarril #13-43. Phone 334-6812.

- La barra. This is a pub with girls serving in bikini. Whoever you like you can get a show from or go to the room for the deed. Good concept. Cra 10 #20-21. Phone 335-3881.

- Pirineos Club. Good casa (next to the DTK "casa D" piedra). Service goes for around 80 000 for the hour. When I've been there, there was about 12 women (7 to 9). Calle 35 #5B-12. Phone 336-5128, cel: 316-420-4424. They also do domicilios (girl comes to your place).

- DTK "casa D" piedra (next to Pirineos club). Service goes for about the same price (80 000 for the hour). Also good choice. About 15 women when I've been there. Cra 5Bis No 35B - 10. Domicilio (24 horas). Phone 326-6738 or 311-301-7392.

I just came back from Pereira (santa rosa de cabal to e exact) from 5 days of vacation. Couldn't have chance to mongering and meet antifreeze (no contact info). All in all, it was okay. I kinda depressed how the family lives in santa rosa though (the girl I met in PTY).

Pereira was nice place ntot too slow not too fast. Weather was nice (not like miami). People are very kind.

Back to work.

I just envy Antifreeze.

It sounds like you have had one too many run ins with the Calenos .....that is unfortunate and hopefully no harm came your way. Thats really too bad they soured your opinion of Cali.....reading your past post it really sounded like you loved the city.

That strange I really thought that local Paisa I met all had alot of class and good manners, too bad you didnt feel the same of Calenos. Well this is the city of misstresses, I guess they are a step below

There are just too many gringos in Cali now. This is one reason I left Cali. All my reasons are the following:

1) I have a good girlfriend now, so why tap into the only positive resource that Cali has working for it (its women - professional that is since finding a non-pro in Cali is pretty difficult to say the least).
2) People traveling to Cali go there for one or many of the following reasons (fuck till they drop - OK, and/or using the white stuff - UNACCEPTABLE, and/or find and use kids - UNACCEPTABLE). Mongering should be ONE thing you do while traveling, not the purpose of a trip as much as possible. There is more to discover than women in each country, and there is more to discover about yourself than the sense of manhood that you get from using a woman in exchange of your money. Be a little more curious about things and maybe we can all display more humanity and not bore the observer to death by our own simplicity.
3) Cali looks like a dump and a war zone, and gets worse over time. Cali's traffic problems are unsustainable.
4) Although Cali's women are great to bang once in a while, the Caleños are scumbags that do not have any culture other than the culture of violence - even worse, they enjoy violence, but would never come to you and fix their deed one to one and unarmed, they prefer sending an armed stranger to fix their mess (how coward they are is behond my vocabulary). Living in Cali means that you need to deal with these people, and that is not easy.
5) My ex-wife is there and she is surrounded by too many Caleños to even think that threatening people is not normal (and God knows what else there is in her pea-brain). so getting away is better.

Visit Cali, enjoy its women, but do some real tourism. Do not get into a ghetto life of fucking. Get out once in a while and smell the fresh air. Too many gringos under these conditions would not be a big deal, but this is not what I've seen there over the years and it really got to the point where I got bored by it.

My feeling is that I have gotten so much benefit out of this board. It's good to put something back in.

I was introduced to the German FKK's through this forum. I'd been living a few hours away and never knew about these places. I would never have come to Colombia if it weren't for some of the photos people posted and the good reports. As an ongoing benefit, I continue to meet many cool people through the forum, which enhances my vacation.

I think there's a limit to how quickly Colombia can change, though. There are high barriers to entry in Colombia for a monger. Most people never even consider coming, because of the ongoing armed conflict. Then there is the language issue. Most folks will never become proficient in Spanish and Colombian customs, so they remain confined to the gringo ghettos.

Second time around in Colombia, I was expecting not to like LDV. I have to say, it was one of the mongering highlights. I really like the GFE from there. The experience is so much more when you can buy a bottle, dance with your girl, then take her back for a few unhurried hours at the apartment.

That said, I am not exactly spreading the word on the Brazil boards about how great I think Colombia is. But I think it can't hurt to give some guidance about how to do a place well, and what amounts are reasonable to pay.

I'd weigh in with Tom 33 on this one. I don't think I've run across a single resident of Cartagena, except Mery and Sally, who's wanted to speak more than 5 words of English with me. And I don't see that many mongers in Cartagena outside of LDV. But I'm not that good at differentiating the Italians and the Israelis. A female friend of mine, a dark-skinned good girl, did tell me that people seeing us walk together would probably think she's a hooker. And I do think it's getting a little harder in Cartagena versus the first time I went to date good girls, because of mongers like me dating putas.

I'm not sure about the extranjeros reducing chances for GFE. I do think sometime when you're the first or second a working girl has been with it enhances the experience. But the locals don't have the purchasing power we do so often the brothels are geared for the wham-bam-thank-you ma'am type experience. Surfer, an example we both could relate too might be Blok M vs. Jalan Manga Besar area -- your chances of GFE are higher in the area catering to the extranjeros. Although I guess places like San Jose, Costa Rica would be a good example for the other side of the coin.

Money may not buy love, but sometimes it can buy a good actress (a GFE).

I'm glad the internet exists -- otherwise I'd probably still be banging chicas in Juarez and thinking it's the greatest place on earth.
