Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping that Cali might be somewhere in between Habana and Bogota. If only I could find a city with the aggresive girls and nightlife of Habana and the girlfriend-material girls of Bogota I would be in heaven.

I found Sosua somewhat dissapointing. There were hardly no good girls or semi-pros, all super-pros who were just there to make a few bucks. More mongerers than girls sometimes. I am thinking about trying Iquitos, Peru next for something totally diffrent. I have never had a jungle girl before. LOL.

If you plan to come to Colombia for an extended stay, make sure that you ask at the border for your 3 month visa. My brother got caught with that. He's here in Colombia and wants to stay here, and the border agent only stamped a 1 month visa in his passport. By law, he had the right to 3 months, but did not ask for it. That resulted in him having to go at the DAS in order to ask for an extension (about 2 days and 100$ lost).

Hello KW Kids!

I've readed your article and I can to see, that you need to choose between Cali or La Habana.

I know those 2 cities and for me,the best option is La Habana if you want to find only women to have sex, but if you want to find a possible bride, then visit Cali.In this city there are some marriage agencies.The nightlife is concentrated in the Avenida Sexta (Av. 6ª). I was in this place but I was dissapointed.

La Habana has more nightlife!

But if you want that the women approach you, then you have to go to Dominican Republic (Sosua, Boca Chica, Santo Domingo). In this country really they sleep with you at the first night.

Just like to add that both Friday night and last night, both women I took home were either separated from their husband with a child or a child out of wedlock. 50 dollars taxfree is not bad when their salaries are low. They enjoy club drinking, dancing, flirting with the men until one bits. Then they get paid for the extra they themselves enjoy. They have to provide for the child as best they can.

Last night's date was 25 with a boy 7. Her mother took care of him. Draw your own conclusions. Many are descent women.

Hi,

Can anyone out there help me with this question? How does Cali compare to Cuba (ie-Habana)? I have been to Bogota and Habana, and find that although Bogota is great to find maybe a girlfriend, it is not the best city for mongering. In Habana I would describe it like being treated as a rockstar. In Bogota you are just another gringo. What I am looking for is something in between Habana and Bogota.

Do the women in Cali approach you like they do in habana?do they all sleep with you on the first nite unlike Bogota? How much are the pros:$20 Habana vs $50 Bogota? Etc.

I am planning an extended mongering trip in Aug/Sept and would greatly appreciate any info / insight that anyone could provide. As a new member of the forum I hope to visit Cali or another destination and submit my first full report to the forum.

Yes, Happy, it is interesting, but you will notice that a lot of the poor girls live at home, and don't need to ho. But in instances where the girl has a kid, family outside of town, or where they are even supporting their family or aiding in their support, they resort out of desparation to ho-ing. I always wondered how those types could go home to mom every day!!

I think you are wrong a bit when you say they lose their self respect. If anything, they lose their respect for men.

My friend is totally happy with his ho! And she really likes him it seems. Let's face it, it's her way out of that line of work. And he has bucks, so she hit the jackpot! I really think it will work out. Believe me, he is jut as surprised as you!

You can also set up a subsidary US company in Colombia and get a residency permit as the indivdual who is going to run the company in Colombia. If you don't have a company buy a shell or register a company in the Bahamas or some other tax free island like St Martin, Caymans etc. that wll also work. You need a Job letter in Spanish, Police record translated into Spanish and a filled in application form. Takes about 3-5 days to get this permit. I am sorry to others if this is off topic. ho's find them fork them and forget them "my new motto"

Thanks for your report.

I find it interesting that they are many girls that are poor but they don't ho. I think the ones that do ho may be deperate but you are right, its diffcult to change a person with no self respect. I think once a ho always a ho, does not matter what country you're in. I have meet very deperate girls in Colombia that even speak English that have had no work for several years, and I allways wonder why they did not go into the profession. The other issue is deattachment from these woman. What a wonderful characteristic to have, I must say I suffer in this department I am sucker because I always believe in people, until I find out different. Its easy to spot golddiggers but there are a lot of very smart woman that use reverse physciology and these woman are much harder to read. I almost married a 'bad' girl and I feel for your friend. I hope he knows what he's doing. Have a great weekend and be happy I know I am going to Summer time here in the north.

You don't even have to get married down there, though it isn't a bad idea! Many people apply for a type of visa that allows you to live there. I think it is called a pensioners visa or something like that. With the right amount of income and/or assets, it's easy to get the visa.

The Entire sentence that you refer to reads as the following: "The typical Colombian man is an idiot that I get to understand more over the years living here."

It should maybe have read more like: "The typical Colombian man is an idiot that I get to be more like over the years while living here."

The fact on the matter, is that although I can't forget about my son, if I could redo my life in the Colombian environment, I would not get married (or get married for the papers - pay a girl 100.000 pesos per month to get married to me and then leave me alone with my visa that allows me to stay in Colombia without restrictions).

I would then be able to play the game like they do.

You have just hit upon the age old history of the species! That men want variety and will pay for it, and women want security and will charge for it! Men want hotter chicks and women want guys with more to offer. It is a wonder the institution of marriage even exists in this environment. Wait, it is almost defunct anyway!

Anyway, yes, you are right that there are some girls that are being "kept" by more than one American guy. But guys make their choice in this matter and volunteer to do it. I have friends who meet some lady but don't want her up here...either because he's married, or because of the visa hassles, or because he doesn't want to subject her to the wolves and feminists up here. So he "keeps" her down there. If she strays, it's his own fault. One way to limit this is to meet a "good" girl and not a pro.

By the way, it does happen with Colombian men who are involved with women a lot, because the Colombian men don't give her enough to live on, they only give her small amounts, so she needs to find other contacts.

So I guess you can either play this game...or just rent them and forget them! I must admit my upbringing makes this hard to do. I always think the best of people. I always think I can change them. And in Colombia, where most of them are just doing it out of desperation, it is such a different situation than here. I even have a friend who is marrying a "bad" girl from down there.

I guess the men are decitful don't you think the woman are equally decitful. They would drop your ass for more $$ in a new york minute or maybe just add you to their list of suckers. I understand that a lot Colombian woman have several men taking care of them does anyone have any experience with this and when the guy finds out how do you deal with this. Chalk it up as experience. I am tried of having these experiences (Ha Ha)

Good question. Let my try and address it, and add to what Freeze said. First, Colombian men are not the most faithful people in the world. Neither would I be if I lived there! They are famous for just having girlfriends, or having a wife and then having girlfriends on the side. Secondly, some men have a lot of money, but very few in the whole scheme of things. And the middle class is small, yet growing. So in a land where there are so many great looking women, there really aren't enough "good" men to go around! Add to that that many many of the working girls have kids, and trust me, no Colombiano wants to marry a woman with kids.

I know you are shocked why they have to do such work. So was I. But when you consider the above factors AND the fact that finding a job in Colombia is hard, and even when they do it doesn't pay much, I guess that sums up why it is such a crazy situation down there.

Many times I have thought that I wanted to take one of them home, and I think most of them would jump at the chance, but I would have major qualms about bringing a 10 back to my city, if you know what I mean! But that's another topic! I have heard of several guys "keeping" a woman down there, but that too is another subject!
