Frijole ... yes, I have to agree with you ... the WSG is a better forum when people express their feelings and opinions ... you are correct.
Just like in real life, however, one shouldn't attack others and use over-sarcastic remarks and racist tones.
People will value an opinion when it is given respectfully, otherwise it's just wasted space.

First and foremost, let me just say that I respect the opinions of others on this board. However, I do believe that we should always be considerate of new members looking for information. Not everyone has the time or the patience to comb through hundreds of posts just to find an address or other related information on a particular cat house. I recall my first experience on the WSG being quite terrible. I would like to ask you to see my report on Cali and Medellin (also see Simple Man’s). I think both are great examples of the stuff we should all try to focus on. Other issues, such as ATM’s, Change Houses, Shoe Shine’s, etc., should be kept to a minimum, in my humble opinion, and pm each other with that information. I usually try to respond to a particular query sent to me via pm within 24 hours.

Well I respectfully disagree. I think that we can all make the WSG better. I welcome the criticism and ideas of others. I think Chorizo has a right to express his opinion, good or bad, as do I.
One thing that always upsets me is when Members do not share the addresses or telephone numbers of establishments they write about. I’ve emailed several members regarding such issues and they have never responded to any of my pm’s. Thus, on my last trip to Cali and Medellin I made sure to give addresses and phone numbers.
Furthermore, I think that pointing out to other members that they are getting off the main subject (the Ladies) a bit too much is a valid complaint. I regularly visit sections a week or two prior to my visit. I’m currently looking into returning to Cali later this month and I just wanted to see what new info, if any, was out there regarding some of my favorite places. However, all I saw were pages full of ATM info.

For those of you who don't like a particular post or actually those who don't think a post pertains to them ... i.e. ... doesn't contain info that they think is usefull to them ... simply quickly scan the post and move on.

No need to 'dog' anyone. There are thousands of posts in this guide that I don't care about but no big deal ... I just scan till I find the info I want.

If you think about it ... there's more 'unnecessary' posts of guys 'dogging' other guys than anything else.

Frijole, well trip reports are nice, but there is often lots of "noise" that may be distracting. If there is a FAQ for a section, always read that first, as it will give you a good basis to start from.

For a site as you describe, you would have to have some heavy handed forum "minders", and it would quickly become a tedious place. I'm not familar with any of your reports, but would say that if you want to see good reports, you should write good reports and give everyone an example to emulate.

When you read a newspaper and want to read the comics, you may have to look through the whole paper to find it. I recommend starting to read a section you're interest in a least a month before you go. That way you have plenty of time to absorb the details, ask informed questions and so forth.

Although I've never been to Cali, it's on my list of places to go to, so I check out the posts so that I have a good idea of what to expect when I go.

A 'dog' needs to be named a 'dog'. We need to name things as they are in that complex and confusing world of ours. I am sorry to say that Chorizo is a complete idiot to think that he can say to someone 'Peter (or whatever) and other Jews' without having any other reaction than what happened on that thread afterwards. Even worst to think that it was a joke. The last thing it is is a Joke. First, it insults 'Peter' (do not remember who it was intended for). Then it insults the Jews. But overall, it gives us a clear picture of its caracter. This was so out of line, that there's really no recovery from it. He is welcome to register under another name and start from scratch, but in my book Chorizo is done with.

And yes, I feel totally superior to this person, and do not mind saying it loud and clear. If you look back to all the threads I've participated in, I called 2 persons idiots: Chorizo and Munjo Raising, and they deserved every bit of it.

Thank you for your CitiBank tip, but I sadly do not have a CitiBank bank account. That leaves me back to square one. I will try to check the Banco Colombia near Punte de la Luna to see if it is indeed true that one can withdraw 1.2M there. I will post my findings afterwards.

BTW, the Internet is built around the fact that one can get information on demand. WSG is about sex, I agree, but too many times one needs to pay for sex. So taking some time to talk about ATMs is not off the point. As long as we try to achieve a clear objective. This thread's objective is clear: lower the bank fees.

If you do not like it, look the other way... I personaly do like it and feel that we're close from achieving that objective.

Keep in mind that "peripheral" discussions often can have a large impact on one's experience when mongering away from where one is familiar. Information on safety, for example, can prevent an outstanding vacation from turning into a horrible one. Similarly, it's nice to know if it's necessary to bribe some local official when confronted abroad.

Perhaps this ATM discussion has gotten out of hand, but discussions other than purely about chicas can have a big effect on one's chica experience.

Well here is my problem with the WSG’s current trend on posting stuff that is not directly related to the Ladies. I’ve been mongering for over 15 years. A friend of mine, Chuponalgas, is the one that introduced me to the WSG. As a new member, and a first timer heading to Brazil, I thought I’d use the WSG’s resources. Well much to my surprise the site was filled with worthless crap. Needless to say it made my search for info on P4P quite frustrating. It took me well over two hours before, finding one useful post. This unfortunately, has been my experience on various other sections (Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, etc.). Thus, I do agree in part with Chorizo that all this other crap about ATM’s is taking up valuable board space.

Thanks for your reply. But I also have posted information on this board including addresses, telephone numbers, etc. And unlike some of the other posters, I have responded to PM's and provided additional information when I had such. I in fact responded to some of your questions in this forum. I have not had the same response from other posters that apparently consider themselves to be somehow elite. Also I have had the experience of going through page after page of reports to find valuable info and then find out that the poster left off address or telephone info, I try not to do that to people.

As for the whole ATM subject, a two minute search on the CitiBank webpage would have revealed that, if you have a CitiBank account, you can use over 800,000 ATM's worldwide, including two in Cali, WITHOUT PAYING FEES.

Antifreeze I am sorry that one of the subhuman, narrow minded, uneducated, selfish and rude people had to find this out for you. You could have been saving $150.00 a month. Aren't you a little embarrassed that a cretin discovered this for you?

Why not try to find out simple facts before you post a long string of BS on a collateral subject. Then maybe you could post the answer.

Regarding who to thank for all of the information being in one place I would suggest you give your gratitude to Jackson, whose efforts maintain the World Sex Guide, not the International ATM Discussion Group.

I think that Antifreeze's post actually speaks for a number of the posters, who apparently think that they are somehow better than everyone else. Well fellas, unfortunatley, none of us are that important. Whether or not any of us are here tomorrow everyone else will press on.

Also I do not think that I was being either ironic or condescending in my previous posts. I think that the actual word may be sarcastic. (Now that was condescending, isn't it ironic.)

Thanks to them and some others, ALL the information is there and in one place.

As for the personals preocupations on various subjects beside P4P, sure there is plenty of that : WSG is, happily, a community of sorts (see Buenos Aires or Sao Paulo threads) ;

Furthermore anyone who actually reads the thread from start to finish will likely be surprised at how much usefull information is there and how well folks have managed to stay on track.

PS : French (as I am) do take showers, this thread is IMO not full of mindness dribble (except for unusefull and offensives posts) and Chorizo is a troll full of crap, despite what you can say.
