I just met AntiFreeze from this board and his wife too. A really cool guy that is super funny. He and his wife seem very content with their life here. He moved here about 6 years ago. He read all my posts and he PMéd me. He was astonished that he agreed with just about everything I wrote about Cali. If you're reading this Antifreeze, I hope we have the chance to hook up again. I read on the general discussion section on another board how guys are talking about the dangers. Maybe I mis-spoke when I said it's "perfectly safe". Columbia can't be categorized that way I guess, but I will say that in all my journeys I find Cali no more dangerous than Rio or a handful of other cities.

I'd actually like to hear from guys that have actually been to or lived in Cali or Columbia instead of all the guys that only read State Department warnings. I just talked to my girl. Going out tonight. I hope my stomache gets better soon.

First off, thanks Saint for the reports. Now, just so I can put it out there. I JUST got back Avianca and priced my ticket to Cali. I am leaving March 16 and will return March 21. The roundtrip ticket is going to run me $296. Considering I am buying in 2 weeks in advance, that isnt to bad. Another thing, I am currently in Panama City, Panama so obvioulsy the ticket is going to be a bit cheaper. Well fellas, if anyone is going to be Cali those days let me know. March 16-March 21. The $120 is not just on "lotion". It´s on hair gel, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, cleaners, lotions, etc. There is a huge product line from Zirh. Yeah, it´s a lot but isn´t investing in yourself worth it? Ha, ha.

I usually do only hit higher end places but I have my reporter cap on. I want to get a sense of what is out there. I´m hitting most parts of the city.

I´m at ChipiChope now waiting for my Peptol Bismul to kick in. I´ve been pissing out of my ass for the past 6 hours or so. This is the first time I´ve been sick in all my travels. I´m starting to hit the wall a little because of the lack of sleep.

As far as the expensive stuff. It´s all in my backpack so no one knows what I have. Even my Ipod is in my backpack. The Swiss Army backpacks have a hole for earphone wires. Many of the younger crowd here have bags or backpacks so no one knows what´s in mine. As I posted before. I´m long overdue to get mugged so maybe this trip. I´m here until Friday night unless I extend again.

I might rest up today. I´m meeting one of my girls at 5:30 PM here at ChipiChope to have dinner before she goes to work. Then I have to try to hook up with my normal girl tonight but she doesn´t arrive back from Bogota until late at night so maybe I´ll try one of those other clubs in South Cali. Later.

I'm glad you went to some of the normal places. It seems you usually go only to high end places that for an extended period would be out of my price range.

I'm hoping to spend a week or two in Colombia later this year. It usually seems to be a comparison of Cali and Medellin. Like Nicaragua, I think that Colombia has many tourists frightened. I think if you are careful and not stupid you'll go far.

I'd be a bit nervous about carrying around so much high dollar equipment though. On my trip to Malaysia and Thailand last month, I only had my $900 Nikon with me, and it was a pain to carry my camera bag around. I much prefer a small digital camera that just slips in my pocket.

I'm looking forward to your photos - I'm not sure if you've posted them in the Photo section or not. I'll check them out.

NO doubt you are 100% correct. I thought I emphasized it enough in my report that speaking conversational Spanish is very key here to enjoy the extra benefits. I CAN'T imagine the gringo gulch type here. I hated CR for the fact that many of the guys looked like degenerates. Many were loud, drunk and obnoxious. Many bragged to have been going down to CR for years yet couldn't even learn some basic Spanish. If you speak little to no Spanish you won't have a good time here. To get the full experience of any country you have to be able to communicate. It's especially true here as there are less people that speak English than any place in Latin America I've visited.

If some of the CR guys were here acting like they act in the Blue Marlin then they probably would get mugged, beaten or worse here. This is NOT the place to be loud and obnoxious. These people are pleasant but up to a point I think. I haven't even seen that many Americans. I did talk to a guy last night that was a cool dude. He was mild and reserved like me. There was another American in the club and he was the same way. Any dudes that come here after a while know how to behave. Hell, any dude should have the common sense to know not to act that way in a foreign country.

Another thing I noticed is even though there are foreign tourists here they aren't a novelty. People don't stare at you like other country. People here seem to treat everyone as equals unless they are given a reason not to.

Cali isn't going to be for everyone. For me it's been a dream vacation. I don't have enough hours in the day to get all I want done. My experience last night was unreal with that hottie. I'm meeting her today for dinner.

The thing that sucks with the pros is most of them have to work everyday except Sundays. On Sundays since they are gone all week they have to spend it with their families. Many of these girls have kids and it's the only day to spend with their families.

Ricker is 100% correct that your experiences probably won't mirror mine. I've been having just as much fun with the non-pro stuff then the pro stuff. Please have realistic expectations when arriving here.

On the downside, I ate something bad last night and I've had bad diarrea all night. At least I haven't been throwing up but still. I think I've lost every bit of liquid in my body. I gotta go shower and drink lots of Gatorade. I'm still not sleeping well but hasn't slowed me down yet.

If I haven't emphasized it enough...take care of yourself. I think no matter your age if you take care of yourself then that is what counts. Some girls like older guys and some don't. My hottie last night said lots of her friends like older guys because of their ability of stability. She again called the guys here Perros. Many girls like older guys because it represents safety and stability.

One thing I have never scrimped on is clothes and shoes. Remember you never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression in life. NO different with these girls. Dress nice. Also, take care of your face and body. I have been using lotion on my body since I was in high school. It makes a big difference. Yeah, it's kind of wussy huh? But the girls always comment on it.

Also, use high end products like Zirh. They have several face stuff. They have this stuff in a series called Correct, Protect, Restore, Clean. They are by far the best product on the market. I noticed a difference after the first few months using it. It will take years off your face. It can be found in any type of nicer store like Foley's, Macy's, etc. I probably spend about $120 a month on all their stuff and it works great.

Another funny story. In one of the taxis yesterday I was shooting the shit with my taxi driver. A young dude. I was telling him how hot all these girls are. He agreed. Then I told him that all the Calenas called them dogs (perros). He had this surprised look on his face and was like, "QUE!!"(WHAT??). I told him that if I lived here I would be labled a dog too. He was still pissed but then eventually laughing. He was saying how the guys wouldn't be dogs if all the hotties weren't offering it up to them. He said many hotties know that these guys are married or have girlfriends and they don't care. He called the girls dogs too. It was comical.

I think because you've traveled quite a bit and you speak Spanish, your experience in Cali is 'easygoing'.
Imagine some of those gringos from the Costa Rica, 'Gringo Gulch' crowd hanging around Cali ... they wouldn't quite get the same reception as you're getting.
To you it's easy ... to others, trust me ... wouldn't quite be the same.
Yes, anyone can run to the casas and get laid, but, the extra experiences you're having is because of your experience and spanish skills.
Trust me ... I've seen guys miserable because they wanted more than just 'puta' pussy but couldn't communicate.

I just spent the last few hours with the hottie from Flores Fresca. I’ve never met a girl so sweet. She honestly is very sincere. I gave her more money then I paid last time and she left the money behind on the desk. I was going to post more pictures here of here but I would feel too guilty now after getting to know her. Maybe if I didn’t get to know her so personally I wouldn’t care but still. I have another date with her tomorrow at Chipi Chope.

She claims to have never DFK a client before. Something tells me that’s true. Who knows if it’s the truth or not but I did talk to about 5 guys here that said that she never kissed them on the mouth and they called her “frio”. Quite the opposite with me. Anyway, she told me her friend is married to an American. Her friend is 24 and her American husband is 49 so I guess you can forget what I told you about getting a younger hottie.

I asked if the girl was really in love or just doing it for the green card. She has no reason to lie since her friend doesn’t work in the clubs and I never met her before. Her friend met this dude on the internet so I guess there is hope for internet dating with these Latinas. She also told me about some American dude that is only 25 years old that travels down here for work. She said he’s a good dude and has left with her twice and not even had sex but given her money. Dude if you are reading this know that she thinks you’re such a nice guy and you sound like it to me too.

I’ve been with enough of these girls to know the BSérs from the real sweethearts. She is definitely one of the good ones...

I went to Flores Fresca early at around 9:30 PM. It was dead with only around 12 girls and about 7 guys. Most of the guys were only there to look although there were about 2 other Americans. I sat next to an American guy that was with a guide named Ramone. I think I read about him before on WSG. He’s a totally cool guy that is fluent in English. He’s funny as shit too. There is this hottie girl there with an innocent face and he was heart broken that she was one of the ones in the lesbian show. Her face looked really innocent up until the moment she put the strap on dildo on and started banging the other girl on stage. Oh well. I kept joking his girl is cheating on him. He was cool to tell me the names of two other clubs in South Cali that he said are equally as good but cheaper. I’ll check them out tomorrow after my date. One was called Tangas Club. The other is Dinas Club (?-can’t read his writing). Address reads Calle 5 con 66 Amazonas. He said it's 20 minutes outside of the city. The other address is JD con Paso Ancho.

Anyway, my non-pro hottie gets back tomorrow from Bogota. I found out today what she is doing in Bogota. She is in the final stages of receiving her papers for a visa to visit USA! She mentioned it to me but I didn’t know she was going to Bogota for that. I guess if it goes through I can fly her in. We’ll see how that goes.

I’m going to go shower for the 4th time today then write some stuff in my personal journal that I hand write in. They have these cool waterproof journals that you can buy. Another good afternoon under my belt. In the name of research for you deviants I decided to check out some casas while I’m here this week. First I went to Uni-centro Mall to possibly do some shopping. I just don’t find the clothes to be that good here for men. Shoes appear to be a good buy though. I might buy some this week.

A dude from WSG gave me the name of his amiga that works at one of the stores. I went to go say hi to her. She is a totally cute and sweet girl. It was cute how she had this paper of English phrases. I guess she is studying English which I really admire. I was going to leave but she wanted to talk some more. I ordered a Lemonade then we talked for about an hour. I asked her if she had any pretty friends for me. She said yes but that they weren’t available now?? Oh well. She ended up giving me her phone number so I’ll try to hook up with her friends. I asked her what her status is with this dude. Amigo, novio, etc. She told me to ask him.

I walked around some and I got 2 phone numbers of these cute girls. It’s relatively easy to get phone numbers here if you can communicate with them. Usually I start out pretending like I’m looking for a store or something. Then I ask them if they are a Calena. Then some other stuff. I tell them how beautiful they are (which they love hearing). Then just ask them for a phone number. So far, I haven’t been turned down yet.

Then I decided to hit some casas. First I went to Faraon but it was closed. The guy told me they don’t open till 7 PM. A few casas down on the same block is Doctor of Love (Doctor de Amor). Some dude on WSG posted it was called La Clinica but he was wrong. The address is Calle 2 Norte #23 N37. It is right down from Faraon. You can’t miss Faraon because there is a big sign. Also, my taxi driver that was young told me that Faraon had hot girls so I’ll try to check it out for you horndogs this week.

Anyway, I get to Doctor de Amor. I have my backpack of course with my camera and stuff. The guy says I can’t take it in. I had my Ipod and my camera and a bunch of other expensive stuff. I was nervous but I kept it with him. Then I get in this room. When you walk in there is a huge room with couches and chairs. There were tons of dudes sitting around. Of course I was the only tourist. No matter, as I mentioned people here don’t treat tourists any differently. I was surprised how many dudes there were waiting. Maybe 12 of them. Anyway, they do the line up and the girls aren’t so good. The guy told me there was 25 girls but only about 10 came through the line up. All the other girls were busy in rooms.

That’s the reason why so many guys were waiting. I guess mostly locals come here and some guys have their favorite girls. So what do they do? They wait for them! 9 out of the 10 girls were horrible. If you like “thick”girls then you might like this place. I did see one cute girl. I inquired about prices with the manager and he said it’s 25,000 pesos (that is less than $10) or one hour on-site for 34,000 pesos ($13) Yes, you read that right.

It’s not private. It’s kind of weird making your selection and talking with your girl in front of like 15 guys. Oh well. I wanted to see how the quality of session was so I picked this girl. However, I told the manager I would leave if I couldn’t have my backpack with me. They immediately gave it back to me.  I talked to her and she seemed sweet. She wasn’t gorgeous but not ugly either. You go to a cashier at a window labeled “Caja” (cashier). You pay her then she gives you a towel.

To tell you how busy it was almost every room that she knocked on was already busy. There are 15 bedrooms in this place. She told me they are pretty big. There is also another house 2 doors down that they only utilize for the bedrooms. All of them were busy too! She gave me the option of waiting or sessioning in a small room equivalent to a Luomo cabina in Rio. I asked to see it and it was fine. There was a mirror on the wall which I like to view during session.

This girl was very sweet and funny. When she went for the BJ she was going to do it with a condom. Here is some advice for those of you that don’t travel to Latin America that much. You can ask the girl, “Mi amor, por favor... puede chupar sin condom?”( Mi love, please.. can you suck without a condom”. My average is like 90% for getting BBBJ when asking. This girl asked if I could give her a tip. I asked her how much and she just said whatever I could afford. Almost all the girls here would have given a CBJ but I asked nicely and almost all of them do it. Not a problem. Same thing in Rio and BA or wherever I go.

Ok, be careful here. You know how it all is. It’s easy to get carried away. A few times here I’ll be on top in the groove grinding on them without a condom. Sometimes it might slip in. You have to understand if they let you go bare back that means they’ve let others so be careful. This girl and I were grinding and she asked if I wanted to use a condom. Of course I said yes. The sex was awesome. Again, she isn’t my dream type girl. I like a girl with a model quality face but she was cute and her body was decent. She was getting so wet! She actually had to get a towel and wipe up. It didn’t bother me.

We went hard and heavy for 40 minutes and I climaxed. We showered and get this. I swear to God she asked me if I wouldn’t mind going another round. I said I was tired and she was disappointed. I asked her to call a taxi and I had to do the walk of shame in front of all those Latin dudes. I had to wait about 10 minutes for the taxi when I finally got tired of waiting and went outside. This isn’t in the best area so use judgement walking around at night. I just got home and it’s dark out now as it’s almost 8 PM here. I asked one of the guys outside to go flag me down a taxi. He looked reluctant until I gave him a $1 US. He looked at it like it was a gold brick. I don’t think these guys make jack. I also gave my girl a 20,000 peso tip and she was very appreciative. I doubt these locals tip much. My girl told me it was so crowded because it is payday for the majority here.

I’m going to go eat at this neighborhood restaurant a few doors down. I went there the other night. A steak, salad, french fries was 11,000 pesos ($4). I’m gonna shower again after that then probably head to Flores Fresca or another new spot in the name of research. Later.

P.S. I did get pictures of the girl from Doctor of Love. She covered her face but you can see her body. I'll post later. I have lots of pictures.

Guys. Get the dangerous Columbia notion out of your head. I'm serious. I totally stick out like a sore thumb and you know what? I like it. The Columbianas give me extra attention. Almost all of them have told me that I'm so handsome. Do you think I'd get this kind of treatment if I was a Latino? Hell no.
I'm not saying Columbia isn't a dangerous place. I'm just saying that for the average tourist that is only down here for a week or so your risks are so minimal unless you're being stupid.

Cali isn't like Bogota from what the locals tell me. Bogota is so big that people are mistrustful. If you can't tell from my reports, I really make it an effort to get to know the locals. Their customs. I go into most of the various neighborhoods so I can get a sense of what life here is like.

I'm not saying it's guaranteed that nothing will happen to you here. There are no guarantees in life. I swear, some guys I meet have a sign on their forehead that say, "Rob me". I'm not one of those guys. I walk around with a confident look on my face and that is a lot in itself in Latin America. Thieves and other losers can smell fear and ignorance. Again, I'm not saying that I won't get mugged. All I'm doing is giving you a layman's observations of this city. I don't claim to be an expert on anything. I'm just a simple guy that likes to travel.


Get the drug lord notion out of your head. Repeat after me.... Cali is safe if you're not stupid and use common sense. I've been walking around at night alone. People have been nothing but friendly always offering help or directions. I've never met a group of friendlier people.

I refuse to use a paid guide. Hell, I still can't believe guys pay someone to hold their hand to take them around to the termas in Rio. Guys expect Rio to be some scene out of City of God. That just isn't the case. Sure there are dangerous areas but there are in my city back home too. However, if you speak little to no Spanish it would be a good investment to have a bilingual guide. Safety in numbers principle might be good here. I don't know. I've had no problems.

Call me the adventurous type but I'm just not scared if there is no reason to be.

Ok. I've had a pretty busy day so far. I just stopped home to shower. I woke up then walked around Avenida Sexta where there are lots of restaurants, shops and cafes. It's not particularly a beautiful street like most of the city but it's interesting.

Then went to Chipi Chope to hit an internet cafe. I have internet access all the time. That's how I can post so frequently. I think Rigo was smart because he put a laptop in my room that is always on. It's dial up so not too fast but easy to log on and give updates.

Here are some hints before I forget. GSM service is new and just started last year. You can't buy a SIM card at the stores but it's probably possible from someone. I'm not here long enough to need to buy one. Rigo has old bigger style cellphones you can use for free. You just have to buy refillable credits (like Brazil) at the store. FYI. The company is BellSouth. My AT&T GSM phone does work here and I used it a few times to call my office. I'm not sure the rates but I bet expensive. You can buy relatively inexpensive calling cards at the store to use in the payphones or use an internet cafe cabina.

The internet cafe at Chipe Chopi is called Matrix. It is all the way in the back then go left. You can't miss it. Just ask if you can't find it.

The taxis are all friendly. Try to at least round up or tip them like a 1,000 peso note. I'm always generous and I think it bodes well for future Americans that visit. Don't be an ugly American and treat these girls as well as the people in general with respect and dignity. Not many Americans are here so if you're a loud, obnoxious, drunk ass then they will remember it and maybe not be so kind to the next American that visits. You want to leave them with the impression. "How thoughtful and polite American tourists are".

Food is cheap. I find the restaurants aren't as nice or plentiful as in places like Buenos Aires but the quality of food is quite good. You won't have a problem finding what you want.

After Chipe Chopi I had my daily massage appointment. First I decided to get a facial. It was nice. Not cheap for Cali standards at 60,000 pesos but in the USA it is quite pricey for a good one. There are tons of esteticas or salons so you won't have a problem finding one. I'm sure they are all pretty decent. Again, I spotted several guys getting manicures/pedicures. They also have several stylists to cut your hair if you need it. I'm sure you can get an old-fashioned style shave in most too.

It was nice that my masseuse told me that my hottie was talking about me. I hope extending will be worth it.

Also, remember not to slam taxi doors. Keep in mind them paying off their taxis is equivalent to us paying off our mortgages on our homes. The taxis aren't cheap here and most are paying them off on loan installments. The interest rates can be as high as 30% so remember to treat their cars with respect. You wouldn't want someone shitting on the side of your house would you?

I just showered and I'm going to hit a casa for some afternoon action. Later fellas.

I will caution that you might not want to rush down here. Just because the majority of the girls are better looking than Argentina or Brazil doesn't mean you'll be sleeping with them. My comment about the good looking girls is true but there are good looking girls in other cities around the world to hobby with. The best thing about Cali is the people as I mentioned many times throughout my report. Also, the city isn't beautiful.

If you notice I've been doing more non-hobby stuff than hobby stuff. Even with all the hotties I'm only sessioning once maybe twice a day. I've been keeping busy just exploring the city and walking around the malls and stuff. I truly enjoy interacting with the locals. I wish I was fluent though. :(

Many are emailing me asking about hotels. I usually try to stay in very nice accomodations/hotels. I heard the Intercontinental is a good choice but I heard lately they were having some issues with bringing in girls. I don't think it's too expensive at around $75 a night. However, I heard and read so many great things about Rigo and I wanted a traditional experience in Cali that I booked a room at his hotel. I don't regret it. As mentioned by me and others. The non-pro scene isn't going to be for everyone. Again, I walked around the mall yesterday and last night. I still don't see any of the super hotties with older dudes. They might have them on the side but I sure don't see them around. Also, there aren't too many Americans here.

The heat hasn't been too bad. I imagine it can get very hot and humid though. I only wore shorts one day because NO locals wear shorts at all. Jay from Cuba has been wearing shorts everyday though. It was refreshing going into the cold mountain air yesterday.

Cali like many other cities in South and Central America has danger but it is nothing like the State Department portrays it. There are still lots of drug lords. The only difference is now they are quiet and not splashy. Before they liked attention. (kind of like John Gotti). Now they are quiet and just want to make their money undisturbed.

I woke up early today again. I'm going to go get a massage and maybe a steam then go to a casa or the mall. I'm tempted to go to Medellin. We'll see.

P.S. Starfe. You probably are the one guy that knows me better than anyone in the world now. I honestly like helping people. If they ever make a position of Ambassador of Love for the UN can I use you as a reference? Have fun in Asia amigo!
