I just got back from 16 days in Cali. It was great. I managed to rent an apartment in barrio Grenada, right across the street from Casa de Cervesa. I paid $500 for the whole month, but only used 16 days. It still worked out cheaper than a hotel and gave me much more room and comfort.

I tried out Nicole at Kaliente.com. She was great. $100,000 pesos ($37 US) for a non-stop hour. I followed up with several sessions with her over a week’s time. I also tried Dianah at La Masion for a four-hour take out session for $270,000 pesos (around $100 US). She was a pure 10 in looks, attitude and performance.

Using my guide, Andres Morales, I discovered the pleasures of the girls on Ave Sexta. Many seemed to be younger than in the casas and were drug users. They were generally $50,000 to $60,000 pesos for an hour and around $150,000 for all night.

I went to Chipe Chopi and Uni-Centro shopping centers several times for viewing, shopping and money exchange. I was turning my head so often that my neck hurt. Columbian girls are the most beautiful in the world. It was difficult to find an ugly woman.

I went to the most popular discos. While the girls were beautiful, there didn’t seem to be any pros or semi-pros. My guide Andres had numbers for several semi-pros, two of which were part-time models. Their looks were great, but their service wasn’t as good as the pros I had experienced. He brought over two Flores Fresca girls for an afternoon party, which got kind of wild. We ended up playing strip spin the bottle on the balcony after much Aquardiente.

I found ax ex-pat bar called Blues Brothers, which had some amateurs looking for gringos. The music there is great. I found a non-pro there and started dating her in the evening while hitting casas during the day. The non-pros take a long time to crack. After the second date, she wanted me to meet her family. I didn't do it yet; I’ve probably got 5 years on her father.

Some days I went to a pool called Arroyo Honda on the far north outskirts of town. It was only $1,000 or $2,000 pesos to enter (less than a dollar). It had several pools, tennis courts, restaurants and a masseuse. Lots of good-looking girls on the weekends.

We took cabs everywhere. They were plentiful and cheap. The guide kept me out of barrios and streets which were dangerous.

The food was great and cheap. The beef is very good and there was a great selection of seafood. Two steak dinners and 4 drinks cost less than $12 (US) at one place.

The police and military were out in great numbers. It made me feel more secure. You will generally be frisked before entering any bar or disco.

All in all, I had a great time and am thinking of returning in January. The GFE is harder to accomplish here than my usual mongering destination (Cuba), but there are more beautiful women there in greater numbers than Cuba.

I had the opportunity to visit Cali the weekend just after Thanksgiving. It was a GREAT time to enjoy Kaliente. Thye sure had a variety of ladies, all sizes and shapes.

I chose a petite girl that was fantastic! She did everything I asked, and performed the actions just the way that we both can enjoy. She spent 3 hours with me and we had a great time.

I went the next night and chose another lady. She was recommended by another girl and the boss at Kaliente, but I was disappointed. She was a great kisser and that was about it.

I would highly recommend Kaliente.

You are 100 percent correct. The vast majority of 'working chicas' we meet are sweet, nice people. They are working due to hard luck circumstances they deal with everyday.
When you treat these girls with some kindness and respect you can feel how appreciative and sweet they are.

I don't care if a guy is visiting Cali, Medellin, Cartegena, etc ... have fun, meet lots of chicas ... but don't be an ass.

Hey AF I was in Cali for 2 weeks a while ago. The casas and chicas are incredible, but other than that and hanging at Chipichape and Ave. Sexta, I didn't find much to do. We were warned not to go outside the city to the countryside due to FARC. What the heck do you do when you aren't mongering? Am used to RIO and BA, with lots of coffee-houses, bookstores, movies, museums, etc. Also, altho statistically Cali is very dangerous, paradoxically I never really felt threatened or saw any violence when I was there. It seemed very quiet and peaceful. Have you seen any violence or problems? The Colombianas ARE incredibly nice, considering their hard lives (But 12 is too young except for Scotch whiskey). I think you would be better off marrying your average Colombian SW than marrying your average USA woman!

One reason Cali has the most beautiful girls in the world is because it also has so many plastic surgeons.

I actually dated and screwed a Doctor woman I met at an agency named Latin Connections, since out of business. She had big boobs and was looking for an american to marry her and take to the land of money, US. She was fairly good in bed, but a real pain to be around otherwise, expecting others to be her servant like in the operating room. Turned out her boobs were not real, also she had stab scars from having lipo on her thighs and waist. When they did her boob job they cut AROUND the aurelias and inserted their stuffing that way instead of under the boob. Her scars around the aurelias were quite large still and quite a poor job. I let the girl go and heard later she got another american to marry her. I wish them both well.

Alot better looking girls in Cali, but watch out for their strong temperment. I had one girl from Latin-Internet that I brought to the states 2 years back and she was angry alot, poked me in the eye once and I sent her back. She was also very controlling and critical of me, though she was very attractive.

The woman who ran Latin Connections, also had a boob job, braces on her teeth and was considering lipo. That was a few years, 4-5 years ago, but you can see the pressure the girls are under to look beautiful. One girl showed up at the Latin Connections house with a band aid over her nose, having recently had a nose job.

i am much relieved to hear that studplayer has chosen not to settle in cali. i would be even happier to hear that he had chosen to settle in another country and to never return to colombia because he is, in my opinion, the quintessential "ugly american". people like this make me ashamed to be a hobbyiest and an "american"as they give both a bad name. one expects to encounter this type in cambodia & thailand, but not in my beloved colombia! one of the things i love about colombia is the absence of deviants/predators like this, so it is most distressing to meet one in cali of all places.

i will not specifically state why i (and antifreeze) find his comments so repugnant, unless studplayer chooses to respond in which case i will post his exact comments so everybody here can make their own judgments. i try and be an ambassador of goodwill when i travel overseas to improve the often negative image people have of americans abroad, but one guy like that really undermines those efforts.

wendy at la clinica seemed like a very fresh, sweet, girl and i shudder at the horrors she must have endured with him in room #5.

and, finally, mr. "studplayer" the accent you have is about as far from "castillian spanish" that i have heard outside an intentional parody. but it is the content of that speech, both in comments made to me and in your interaction with the girls, that i find really revolting. and while antifreeze is too polite to post what he thinks of you, if he answers your call i have little doubt that he will not hesitate to tell you directly.

so mr. Gentlemen (and I use this term loosely),

There is so much to say about Cali I hope this post does not get too long.

While I had a GREAT time in Cali, I decided that it was not the place I wanted to live on a full time basis. The casas are great and there are many of them. The streetwalkers are great and there are many of them.

However, since Cali is a pueblo (read "small town" in English) I found it exceedingly difficult, impossible, to meet regular non-working women (for anything more than a casual chit-chat) as is so easy to do in other cities throughout the world. Perhaps I am socially inept or just getting older but I do not encounter this in Medellin or other cities. In fact, just this afternoon at the Cali airport I met 2 sweet young ladies from Bogota and we are planning on getting together in the coming weeks. One is even considering coming to Medellin to see me for a couple days. But this is just an example that I believe illustrates what I believe to be true: that women from the larger cities are more inclined to welcome meeting a foreigner.

The weather in Cali gets hot and humid in the afternoon but otherwise is quite pleasant.

Man, as far as apartments, yes I saw several but after deciding on not living in Cali, I did not pursue them further. Today, before leaving, I was shown (an English guy living there insisted on showing it to me) an apartment in Barrio El Penon and it was nice, newly renovated, about 40 square meters (a little small) for an asking price of about US$20,000 or less maybe; I really don´t remember exactly. I earlier saw a 250 square meter penthouse in a nice neighborhood for about US$90,000.

El Colorado, I stayed at Hotel El Penon in Barrio El Penon and I can and do recommend this hotel. Try to get room 1002 as it was really large and real nice. Slow dial-up internet access is available at the hotel but for twice what it will cost at a fast internet cafe and you don´t have the opportunity to meet Calenas while using the internet in the hotel. The hotel cost something like 83,000 pesos per night plus tax for a total or like US$36-40 depending on how you are getting your pesos. Personally, I travel with an ATM card with Cirrus access and get the international exchange rate at the time of the transaction. In my opinion, this is the only way to go.

If you like to play blackjack, I strongly suggest playing in the "21" game at the casino at Unicentro and not playing "blackjack". If you want details why, private message me.

By the way, I did not meet that Calena at the casino that night and it turns out I probably would have had more fun with her than I did otherwise.

In general, Cali is a great little town. I can see it as a great spot to settle down, get married and raise a family, if that is what you want to do.

There is one thing that needs to be said about Cali however and it concerns the myth that Cali has the most beautiful women in Colombia. For sure, there are a few fine looking ladies walking around; there are also lots of not-so-good looking ladies walking around. Give me Medellin or any number of other cities for the sheer number of good looking women out and about.

The people in Cali are universally friendly and the Calenas are extremely sweet girls but they want a traditional life with courtship, marriage, children and all that. That is great and if this is what you are looking for then definitely give Cali a "look-see."

As far as danger, I had not one problem in Cali and I went everywhere.

I too have met some great guys on my trips and some real losers. Personally while I think many men do not fit the stereotypical 'sex tourist' some seem like the definition was written for them. I get a little cautious b/c some seem completely socially inept, have the chick's tits out in a nanosecond, asking in their horribly fractured Spanglish if they can bone her without a condom and then complaining they didn't get the GFE!!

The reason I go to foreign countries is to meet people (with an emphasis on women). I try to learn the language (at least enough to get by) b/c what is fun for me is the adventure, the chance to talk/laugh/joke with a cute chica and enjoy myself. While I've engaged in the 'point and click' shag, I usually find that less interesting. Esp. as I get older.

Anyways, I am going to be there in about 10 days. Can't wait. See you then.

Excellent post. I agree that you need to come to Colombia with your brain and your balls (not your brain in your balls). Sometimes you need one, sometimes you need the other. There are plenty of great things happening here, but also some pretty serious stuff. As an example, often during weekends (Friday and Saturday nights), drunks are driving while shooting in the air on my street (a little scary provided that I live on the 9th floor). This is the type of thing that one could imagine that police could fix, but police work is useless in here. Policemen are rich of a situation that provides them with the opportunity to bribe normal people for money, not much more.

I am happy to meet with anyone that respects minimal decency standards (no hard drugs, not chasing 12 years old kids). If you fit those standards, send me your e-mail address, I'll get in touch with you. If not, do not botter getting in touch with me, we are not made to connect. My experience though is that a lot of people coming to Colombia do not meet those minimal standards and I do not have much respect for that (they just come to Colombia to do the shit they rightfully can't do in the US or else). Consequently, after many encounters with such people, I figured that the statistic was not good in regards to meeting gringos in Colombia. Chasing women is one thing that I can relate to, but they still need to be respected. Those women went through Hell most of the time, and truly could use a break. Colombian men do not treat them well, and they are truly jewels that call for respect. I've met many women that are marriage material even in casas. They just got there by a series of misfortune of life, and are decent people struggling for their lives and often even their family.

I have a couple of things that will probably not be well received, but here goes. First, Colombia IS a dangerous place. I know many Colombians in Miami who are afraid to visit right now. If you look gringo, your risks are much higher. A friend of mine recently got married in Cali and when he was at the Inter-Continental casino with his future wife, a group of men started harassing him and when he confronted them, one guy showed him a gun right in the casino. The casino security was no help at all. My friend had the impression that these were big narco trafficing guys that were close with the casino owners. My friend left soon after and he noticed one of the men following him out. He literally spent the next 2 weeks waiting for the wedding locked in his hotel room due to his fear. A bit of an over-reaction, but it shows you what can happen. The reason it's worse now than before is the US government is making life extremely difficult for the narco guys.

Second, I know everyone who gives a good tip means well and I'm glad to see people treating the women well, but keep in mind the other side of tipping well. When you give them a good tip, they feel they've been charging too little. So the prices come up. The tips keep coming, and the prices keep rising. After several iterations, we'll be approaching US prices in Colombia. This may seem silly, but it's true. If you talk to the old-timers, they'll tell you it's happened at great sex destinations all over the world.

The deals we make with these women are completely negotiable. To the girl, is sex worth $10, $100, or $200? The answer is it's worth whatever the previous guy was willing to pay.

There are others ways of tipping the girls. You can treat them with respect and kindness, pay attention to their sexual needs, or even take them out for a drink or dinner. None of these will raise the prices and the girls will probably appreciate these things more.

21 November 2003 Cali, Colombia

Yesterday I did a little casa hopping. There are some hot hot hot casas in the south part of the city.

I ended up at the Doctor of Love with Wendy - I think that was her name. One hour, 34,000 pesos or US$13, more or less. Due the high quality of service, I left a generous 10,000 peso tip (about US$3.50) stating I intended to be generous due to the high quality of her service. From what I could gather, a 5000 peso tip is about normal.

While Wendy´s service was top notch, I realized I got "gringoed" on the room which was room number 5 (to be avoided). It was noisy, the Coke guy came and you could hear him throwing Coke bottles around, everyone talking out in the hall, etc. I don´t know about everyone else but I like peace and quiet, a rare commodity in this increasingly crowded world. To make a long story short, after the excellent session I asked for and spoke with the "jeffe" and told him, in Spanish, exactly what had happened, that I did not appreciate the noise and please not to "gringo" me again. I think he was surprised by my Castillian Spanish.

Hit the Unicentro casino in the evening, a beautiful young calena estudiante sat down next to me, and even though she was with an amigo, we just had the nicest time together. She is planning on meeting me there again tonight, sin amigo - that is, if I can make it. You get the picture - a beautiful young calena wants to meet me at the casino and I am not sure I can make it! Adios Estados Unidos!

This morning my laundry was delivered by a laundry service I had pick up my clothes yesterday. Pants pressed and on a nice plastic hanger, 3 shirts pressed and on nice plastic hangers, a week´s worth of underwear and socks - total price 9000 pesos or about US$3, including pick-up and delivery service.

I know, it´s a tough life but somebody has to live it.

Do what I did last night. There are some hot streetwalkers along Avenida Sexta starting around 9 in the evening. Got a sweet young thang early in the evening and just the memory of that sweet young ass getting in the elevator at the hotel is enough to get me hot again. Total cost about US$15, although you can do it for as little as US$11 but good service demands fair compensation. Later in the evening, returned to Avenida Sexta, another sweet young thang, nice long massage (negotiated before-hand) and another sweet (or is it sweat?) time. So there you have it, here is the formula for growing 20 years younger in one night.

Just got finished having a great sushi lunch with Antifreeze and his sweet wife at Chipechape. We are planning on hitting a couple of casas tomorrow afternoon - but not with his wife.

I agree about casas - very hit and miss. In fact, much more miss... but certainly you can find gems. Cali is so great for the non-pros, that I was always ok with the casas only being so-so or hit/miss.

On the other hand, 20 minute casa program is like us$10 - so why not just negotiate a BBBJ/TC CIM with no FS for that us$10? I mean, if you look at it that way, the casas work for you much better... a nice start to an evening searching for non-pros at the clubs... or before hitting the malls at about 5p for non-pros there...
