Just packing my bags after 2 months in paradise, 1 month in Cali and 1 month in Medellin.
Not looking forward to the long trip back to Aussie.

Didn't get to the coast but back in 10 mes and will do this with a pretty paisa chicky babe.

Cali, stayed with a colombian family in south Cali. Recieved top service and was one of the family, I can recomend this style of family accomidation with personal body guard, taxi service, home cooked meals ect.

Did all the monger things in Cali but was missing some thing I throught, headed of to Medellin.
Met Antifreeze and a nice guy he is but that changed when I seen him at all the places I was at! He's like me!

Trired to walk up the big hill in Cali with Antifreeze and my landlord but only made the second level! they thought that I was weak but I only wanted to talk to all the pretty girls coming down the hill!

Medellin, stayed at a Casa that Steve and Robert owned. Now Steve has brought out Robert so is only Steve now in charge. Steve has about 800 girls on his computor to look at and meet, I met about 20 and a few girls in the street and bars.

To me Medellin is better than Cali because the girls are I think more European looking and more beautifull and taller, it is spot the ugly girl in Medellin and there are not many. I will be returning to Medellin and Id like to die there!

Antifreeze, Aussie Greg, Surfer, and all other mongers in Colombia!,

I have talked to Surfer, and it looks like he has convinced me to hit Bogotá, Cali, and Medellín.

I will arrive in Bogota on Aug 6th and try to hook up "mi amiga - Vicki" while there.

Aug 7th, fly to Medellín, and stay till Sunday. Surfer advised me to not try to buy a plane ticket until I get to Colombia. He says it will cost me 1/4 - 1/2 of the price doing this vs. using the internet to purchase a ticket. How much was your ticket from Cali to Medellín?

Aug 11th - Aug 15th - work in Bogotá during the day, while doing research for WSG at night.

Aug 16th - Aug 20th - take a early flight to Cali and spend 4 nights in paradise! I am still a little unsure about which hotel, but I think that I am leaning towards "Hotel Don Jaime on Avenida Sexta" since it is Surfer's recommendation. I want to be close to the action.

Aug 20th - back to Bogotá

Aug 21st - Back to México

Is getting Vitamin "V" difficult in Colombia? Does it require an medical exam or prescription? I tried it once (stole one from my Dad's stash while I was home visiting) and it work for like 14 hours. I do not remember any problems with headaches, just waking up with a stiffy and putting it to my then-girlfriend a few more times. I figure if there is going to be a "stud" convention in Medellín, then I better take some performance enhancing drug to get me in the competition. (ha)

I recently returned from a 10 day trip to Cali. To give my opinions some perspective, I have also traveled and hobbied in Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, Medellin and throughout Mexico. I must admit that I love Colombian women. There are many, many beautiful women in Cali but I prefer the women of Medellin. There's just something about a Paisa.

First let me say that Cali is not for everyone. I traveled with three friends and two of them returned to Panama City after 4 days. They just couldn't get into the scene in Cali. My other traveling companion and I loved it.

I stayed at the Hostal San Fernando, you can get the information regarding the Hostal at www.calihotel.com. In my opinion it is a great place to stay, especially if it is your first time to Cali. The host, Rigo, will go out of his way to make sure that you find what you are looking for and that you have a good time. Throughout my 10 day stay I doubt that he got more than 4 hours of sleep a night. He stays up until the last guest comes in at night. Rigo or one of his staff must let you in and out of the premises through a locked gate. Rigo is deeply concerned for the safety of his guests. It is easy to loose site of the fact that Cali is a dangerous city and if you forget that you can get into trouble. Rigo is constantly advising you of where is safe and where is not. I can truthfully say that my own family has never made me feel so welcome.

That having been said on to the important stuff:

Perhaps the best known place in town is Floras Fresca, Calle 20N, No. 4N-16. The girls there range from 3-8's. I have read some of the posts here regarding specific girls and there so-called bad attitudes and refusal to accept a smaller fee for their services. I personally went with two of the girls that were previously spoken about, Johanna and Evelyn. Both these girls where extremely sweet and gave me incredible service. In fact I spent three nights with Johanna and she was incredible the highest price I ever paid these girls was $150,000 pesos an hour, about $55.00. After that they would offer me lower prices. I was nice and respectful to the girls and they truly seemed to appreciate it. My friend went out with the girl referred to as having a butterfly tattoo on her ass--they are actually eyes-- her name is Brigith same prices and a very sweet and nice girl. One thing to look out for at Floras Fresca is being labeled as cheap. One of the guys that returned to Panama early refused to tip one of the girls from the lesbian show one night, claiming that he had already tipped the other girl. After that he couldn't even get a girl there to talk to him. One of the girls told me about another American that tipped a girl $1,000 pesos, about 40 cents, for a lap dance and asked for change. That guy was essentially black balled by the girls there. It is important to remember that these girls are working there to support themselves and quite often their families, but the majority of them have pride and would rather go home and spend time with their families than go out with you for a price that they feel is too low. To me, it doesn’t make sense to spend the money on airfare and hotels and then go home dry over $5-10 dollars, just my opinion.

Other than Floras, I had my best luck at private houses. Early in my trip a cab driver told me that there is a house on practically every block in Cali, from my experience he seems to be right. The problem is that the majority of the cab drivers in Cali are absolutely clueless. We had the good luck to find a driver that brought us to at least fifteen houses in one day. The prices in these houses range from $40,000 ($15) to 100,000 (around $37) for an hour, most have lower rates available for ½ hour but I didn't bother with that. There are between 4-30 girls available at the houses at any given time. I unfortunately lost a piece of paper on which I had listed the addresses of several of the houses below are the names and addresses that I still have:

For my taste the best by far was Kaliente, Calle 25 Norte No 2 Bis - 47 B. San Vicente, (2) 653-6832. Had around 15 girls available when I was there but claimed that around 20 were coming back the following week. These were, for my taste, the hottest chicks I saw at any club, ranged between 18-25 years old. What the owners do is recruit girls from other cities to work there. The girls live, sleep and eat at the house and must be there six days a week, Sunday is an optional work day. Price is $100,000 pesos for an hour on premises, all inclusive, in a clean air conditioned room or $180,000 pesos (approx. $65) for three hours to go. I spent time with several girls there and had a great time with each of them. Most claim that they have never done this type of work before, supposedly the owners send girls to the child welfare offices and approach struggling single mothers with promises of making huge amounts of cash working at the house, so it may be true.

This list just begins to scratch the surface of what is available in Cali for P4P some of the most fun I had was exploring the City looking for new houses, the best time to explore is during the day because many of the houses are geared towards giving the working man a nooner.

A lot of guys are talking about the non-pro action in Cali. It is true that you can go to Chippe Chapi or Uni Centro, two malls in town, in the evenings or on the weekends and meet any number of young ladies. I am 38 years old and in the worst shape of my life but every girl I approached at either of these places was as happy as could be that I had done so and readily agreed to go out with me and immediately gave me their telephone numbers. That being said I did not call any of them. Getting the numbers was just a game and a way to pass a couple of evenings before we went out. I did talk to several guys that were trying to date these girls and they all kept complaining about what liars the girls were etc. In my opinion the girls are aptly named non-pros because you do not get what you pay for, and make no mistake you will pay. What these girls are professionals at is separating you from your money, you will be buying them clothes, shoes etc. In the states we would call these girls "golddiggers" and I choose not to waste my money or time with them.

If you are looking for a girlfriend or wife I don't think that the mall is the place. In my opinion one of the most appealing things about a latina girlfriend or wife is the traditions and values that have been instilled in them by their families. I don't believe that these girls hanging around the mall anxious to date any wallet that comes along have these values. I would recommend that anyone looking for a serious girlfriend or wife try a different route, like meeting someone in the town that can introduce your or present you to girls from good families. This is more time consuming but the end result will be far more satisfying. Always check the pedigree.

Regardless, Cali is a city with numerous P4P options. Be careful and have fun.

If you stay at the Hostal San Fernando, Rigo will offer you entrance to the Club San Fernando, a nice private club (like a country club in the U.S.) with a huge pool, perfect for swimming laps. The club is walking distance (7 blks?) from the hotel, a totally safe area/walk. You can walk the neighborhood of the hotel at night, it's safe.

It's five minute / us$1 taxi to the Rayda (Rayda are apartments, not hotel) and the Casino.

I like the North also, but since you mention you want a pool, this is a good option, and close to the North (ChipeChape is 15 minutes and I don't remember exactly, but 3,500-4,500 pesos (under us$2).

I'll be in Medellin from August 1st to August 10th. I'd also like to meet you, but it will be possible only if you're in Cali after August 10th.

I also like to swim. I swim between 2 and 3 miles every day. There is a georgious pool in the south (olympic size and outdoor) that is called la pisina pan-americana. This is from far the best pool that I had the chance to swim in. Temperature is plain perfect, and taking a sun bath while taking your bath is just so great. Be sure to bring some sun-block if you want to try it. Sun block is pretty expensive down here.

If your budget is $40 or so I'd try Hotel Don Jaime on Avenida Sexta as it is RIGHT in the action. Staying near the mall makes less sense IMHO.

I will be in Colombia for 2 weeks August 2nd - August 17th. I have to travel to Bogota on business for one of those two weeks.

My question is this: August 7th (Thursday) is a National Holiday. (I heard this from a Colombiana that I am communicating with). Since this holiday falls on a Thursday, do you think that many of the Caleñas will treat this like a pueñte and leave the city for a long weekend?

I am going to make it to Cali. I am not sure if it will be the week of August 4th or the 11th. Do you have any recommendations as to which week might be the best? (or are both the same with no special events scheduled).

I really would like a chance to meet up with you and buy you a beer. (And any other mongers down there during that time also). Hopefully you might have time and we could meet in the Chippi-Chappe mall.

I wanted to get your opinion of which hotel you felt was best for the Monger on a hotel budget.

Hotel Rayda sounds good and close to the Casino and Avenida Sexta. I like to gamble my play money.

Hotel Casa del Portal is close to Chippi-Chappe.

Which do you think would be the best overall place to be? Are they both in the north and is the north the place to be during the day or the place to be at night? Is the south better? I heard the north is a little safer.

Is swimming in a hotel pool an option or is the water normally too cool?

Just trying to receive your thoughts and/or suggestions.

I have read this board entirely, and follow it religously. All the posters have made Cali sound like a great place to go.

One tip-TAKE THE NONSTOP FLIGHT (leaves Cali in morning and departs Cartagena at 2pm) as the connection time in Bogota often leads to unplanned stopovers (happened to me).

How about from Bogota to Cali and back, What's the cost if I buy it in Bogota or at the ticket counter at BOG airport. In August I need to fly into BOG rom Mexico City and then buy a seperate ticket to go to Cali.

In my previous post, I was asking that could a Calena be a good faithful wife if they are so easy about leisure sex, the impression I got from messages on this board. I got no response on this issue. I know Antifreeze you are the one who can give us more acurate answer since you live there.

If you buy a ticket Cartagena-Cali round trip from the US, it will cost you about $325. If you buy the same ticket in Colombia, you will pay around $100. I've had only good experiences by getting ticket that departs even the same day as I bought it... That do not mean that you could take your time to buy it (buy it as soon as you know your deprature date), but it means that system in here is a bit more flexible, and will accomodate you if at all possible.
