J.G. , it was my first time to Cali, had to visit after hearing so many great things about it. I was there for 4 days only on a visit after checking out Barranquilla and Bogota.

I've been going for years all over Central America and Venezuela for both work and pleasure and i absolutely loved the atmosphere in Cali ... friendly and fun but yet relaxed.

Don't know if i was just lucky but everyone i met was really cool, i speak OK spanish, especially for a gringo and everyone, from the chicas to taxistas were pleased that a gringo could talk to them ... it really pays dividends and you don't have to be perfect by any means.

I met the non-pro girls just by going to normal places ... hotels, mall, restaurants, the ave sexta bars and just smiling and going up and saying "hola". Something that never works in the U.S.
Just about every girl I approached, that didn't turn out to have a boyfriend or esposo was very friendly and happy to go out.

My favorite girls was a beauty i met in a hotel lobby just by accident. She was coming by to see her sister who worked there and i was staring at her cause she was HOT and she just smiled.
I figured, what the hell ... i said hi and asked her out and she said ok immediately and told me later ... not all the girls will admit it but 99 out of a hundred wish for a gringo boyfriend.

Anyway, she turned out to be only 19 and i'm close to 40 and she didn't care and i sure didn't care. Just be nice and if you like a girl, ask her out and she'll prob. say "Si".

by the way ... never felt any danger at all ... more dangerous in Miami if you take a wrong turn ... just don't leave the cities.

Just got back from a trip to Barranquilla and Cali ... had no problems. Everyone said to stay safe ... keep in the cities and definitely stay away from the countryside. Had a great time in both cities.
Found a place in Barranquilla named JUERNES, girls hang out and chat and dance with you ... take out service is about $20 to $40 negotiable. It was fun.
In Cali did Flores Frescas, price about $40 in house and $120 all night take out. Concentrated more on non-pro girls in Cali ... was my first time to Cali but definitely not my last ... it is now my favorite city on earth ... beautiful, sexy, nice approachable women who love you if you're nice to them. I saw and met beautiful girls I wouldn't be able to even talk to in the states.
Never felt in danger ... stayed at hotel CASA DEL PORTAL near ave Sexta ... about $40 per night incl tax and breakfast ... very nice and chica friendly.

like I said before Ido NOT go to Colombia.
Even yesterday some bombs went off in Santa Martha killing 2 and injuring another 10 people.
And this area in the North was supposed "Farc-free".....yeah right.

All in all I think Colombia is NOT safe right now.
Not in Cali.....not in medellin and certainly not in Bogota.

In my opinion, Cali edges out Medellin overall for chicas. They both have an abundance of gorgeous women, however, their are many more options (P4P wise) in Cali.

I think any Colombian will tell you that the most beautiful women in Colombia are from Cali.

Second is Medellin but the girls there are beautiful but a bit proud, like fashion models.

Cali is the capital of Rumba. In short, the girls like to party and hard. There is no moral holding back but unlike Brazil the girls also have some real substance to them, even the pros.

Colombia is tempting for a serious hobbyist but...

That said....if you don't know Spanish well, can't blend in with the locals, look America - these days you are at serious risk in Colombia except for Cartagena, which is still free of most of the violence.

Everybody its got there opinion about what type of chicas they like. Like the saying goes "in the eye of the beholder", in my personal opinion from my travels to Cali, Bogota, Cartagena and of course traveling to Panama quiet often, I absolutly love Cali for one reason the "caleñas" they might be beautiful chicas in medellin,and all over colombia but I've never seen so many with such increadeable bodies until I went to Cali my friend, I can sit here and write all kind of stuff, but you got to go and see it yourself. One thing a absolutly love on a women its a small waist, round ass and a pretty face; no other place in colombia has more culonas than Cali in my opinion, of all shades, Anybody gets a chance to go before december tell me if a bar full of putas called "escocia" near the hotel intercontinental its still open.
