Here's my initial impressions of Cali.
Keep in mind my not a fluent Spanish speaker hell I'm barely conversational and there is COVID and the recent insurrection. That being said I can see why Cali is considered to be the Cleveland of Colombia. Just like I've scored in Cleveland you can score in Cali but I'm not sure that I'd come here solely for mongering. I certainly didn't It's still Colombia and Cali Curves are a thing. If you're into Black women or like shapely asses they're here. BBL's are fairly common here but the Ass jobs are more subtile and natural looking than DR ass jobs.
But coming from Santo Domingo I'm a little disappointed on the mongering front. In all things except pussy and the lack of US foods Colombia blows the DR out of the water, It's cheaper in all things from accomodations to cab fares to chicas. But the customer service of the chicas is not the same. I was told by a long term DR expat that Colombian women were flaky. He was referring to Medellin but that also applies to Cali. There isn't the same "Hop to it" mentality of the DR. In the DR I was spoiled by the amount and variety of women available. It was not all and not even most but all women were kind and the 10 months I was in the DR I never stepped foot in a Casa because I didn't have to. I was given one lead by my Expat buddy fired up Tinder and it was off to the races. Regular chicks with jobs and University students gladly shared their bodies and their friends bodies with me, In threesomes and alone.
That's not the case in Cali unless it's a wannabe pimp hustler no chica claims to have friends that could use some extra pesos at this time. The dating apps are so so, granted it's a weird time but I struggle to get numbers at the mall It's basically mainly Mileroticos. I'm a massage parlor fan but Asia this is not. The MP's I've been to had cute girls but it's hard to justify paying 70 mil pesos and another 90 to the girl when even cuter girls with fatter asses are at Dr. Amor's and Bar La veinte. But the bodies in the latter spots are all enhanced the MP girls are not. I haven't seen any Black Massage girls either if that was you're into.
Dr. Amor's:
Dr. Amor's is the classiest high end casa in town I don't know what happened but in an older list a lot of the casas where closed but there is still several casas around. As far as I can tell Dr. Amor has the best talent in Cali. That being said I'd say they're a little over priced. Granted I didn't negotiate but I didn't in Bar 20 either and the price point was 40 K cheaper Obviously 40 K isn't that much of a difference but other than "ambiance" I'm not sure why someone would pay more because the chicks in 20 are just as cute as Dr. Amor's and most the the 20 girls are from the surrounding area, I knocked off a Paisa for Medellin in Dr. Amor's when I visited.
It's usually recommended that you stay on the Northside and that generally makes sense but there's no real difference in staying on the southside there's the same things there with views of the mountains at a lower price point. The Mall at Unicentro has pretty much the same things that Chipchape has.
San Nicholas. San Nicholas is a sketchy neighborhood right next the the Downtown Centro area. It's pretty much like Medellin's Centro with low bottom Vennies Short time Hotels and bar with rooms in the back. The chicas there quote 50 K a session. You can find gems by Streetwalker standards but you will likely get streetwalker service. That being said even the streetwalkers are not nearly as aggressive as DR streetwalkers, There's a big "take it or leave it" mentality that permeates the whole Cali Mongering scene.
Good luck on getting a Tinder date to come over but when they do that's the only thing approaching Santo Domingo style service. You can get a Milerotico escort to come to you but again the scene is has too many Hustler want to be pimps for my taste a 15 K cab ride becomes a 90 K cab ride with the wannabe waiting the whole time for a Milerotico chica.
That being said all in all I like the place it's not as hot as I been lead to believe. The city is pleasant with many well kept parks It's dirt cheap a ride on the meter in Rush hour from Chipichape in the North to Ciudad Jardin in the south is about 20 K or around 6 bucks in May 2021 prices. If you do decide to come Don't come during the rainy season.
Hope this Helps.
Trip.

The Protesters lost the PR game when they opened "Humanitarian corridors" which means they are responsible for the shortages not the goverment. The wealthy and middle class areas are hardly affected even the lines at the gas stations are starting to dissipate.
My main point is if you already booked a trip and you'd have issues getting your deposit back I'd say you'd still have a good time. But having said that If you haven't pulled the trigger on a trip I'd go elsewhere at this point. There's still the curfews but the Government seemed to realize that this was a protest against covid restrictions as much as it was against the Taxes so in Cali believe me there's places open unofficially after the curfew.
Hope this helps.
Trip.

Yesterday was some sort of a holiday.
He tried to take a trip East to Yumbo. But was blocked.
The Government is trying to stop the violence.
"There are no agreements, the demonstrations will follow, Wednesday are anticipated other March. This moment 19:07 the clashes continue in Yumbo, very close to Cali.
Now hooded people burn police stations in La Plata, 50 rifles are stolen. This caused by the guerrilla. ".
This Morning:
"Good day, last night the president, ordered the national army to unlock the roads by force, we do not know what this will end.
Yumbo is the capital of the industry, there are many companies of Colombia'.

A contact of mines told me that bar la 20 just reopened.
The freeway25 from the airport to Cali downtown is still closed by some protesters and the authorities do no seem to care.

News from your man in the streets, Jesus.
"Hi, in these protests people belonging to the EX-FARC have been detected, and Narco guerrillas who act from the city, in Buga 8 or 10 months ago, 2 tons of cocaine was captured and the Narcos want to take over that city for their job.

In Cali there are three captured by the police, they provided arms protesters to shoot the police, there are Venezuelans involved in robberies and assaults paid by common crime.
There are many bad people who infiltrate crimes against private property, today looks on Venezuelan streets dressed in branded clothes, with very expensive cell phones, gold chains on the neck and ask people to say that they do not have to eat.
It is common to see them drinking Mexican crown beer and smoking cigarettes, they use many children to ask for money, they want to generate pity and get money."
