I would have done the same thing unless Bogot has change there is no nightlife. I mean with a curfew in place at 11 pm your night time is limited.
I was in Cartagena last month. Chica pricers were higher than the normal areas however the curfew begin at 2 oclock. That was enough time for me to enjoy the nightlife and all that it brings. I was also there earlier this year Monday through Saturday. I can definitely tell you Monday through Wednesday things are a lot slower however there were choices.
I will admit next time I go to Cartagena it will be Thursday through Sunday or Monday.

This is also excelllent information from Grown Man. Anyone going there, prepare with the mindset that Monday to Wednesday is slow. Sunday is slow everywhere due to Church, and family day in Colombia. I will definitely post a report about the trip.
I am sure our best bet is Clock Tower but it seems I would want to grab a girl from there and maybe take her to the club. Are Delirium and Dolce Vita worth even going Monday to Wednesday to find talent ?
Also, to clarify the curfew is midnight on all nights except for the weekends.

Thanks Kafka, okay, there are enough choices and yes, traveling to Bogota and back to Cartagena for a 9 night trip is now not making sense. I will just stay in Cartagena 9 nights.

It's slower but usually choices available. But no guarantees. The scene in Bogata and Medellin is larger. It's not worth the hassle if traveling if you ask me...

If you want more winter time, go to Bogota. If you want more spring time, go to Medellin. If you want more summer time, stay in Cartagena.

Yup an old gringo with a hot 30 year old Colombian. The doormen have radar.

He used to bring in prepagos into the building BTW. Often hookers are known to security and obviously any security officer at the hotel will identify them in a second. So, my view is always to facilitate their way up into my suite and not argue if she were decent or not, they know.

If they can hide a kingpin, surely a lonely tourist with a chica should be allowed! LOL I guess it's safe to assume the guards can be bribed with pesos?

On another note, I feel it's a violation of our rights. Who's to say that I can't get lucky with a non-pro? They are basically saying their country is rife with prostitutes and there are no good, decent women to be found.

LOL. This post is hilarious considering the contents of the majority of the posts in the last few pages. There needs to be a Cartagena Hotel and Apartments section or something. Oh, there already is, but it has not been used for over 1 year. Better to put your stuff over there so someone does not have to come along and start this same month-long discussion again next month.

Look for something like Ocean View hosted by Giovanni on AIRBNB. Tell him you don't like large loud parties what you like to have visitors every now and then. Just a few people who disrespectful can create problems for everybody..... And just most of the owners don't allow guests

I would suggest you make sure you have a clear understanding with the owner if you plan on having chicas back to your rental. There's too many horror stories in this forum. Personally, I wouldn't chance it. I have yet to hear back from the renter for clarification.
