As you say, Riquisimo is not bad, but just ok. No way I would waste my dinner reward there (for me a relaxing dinner in a good place is the reward of the day, and anticipates the thrill of the unknown future of the night).

I am surprised that on ISG many members report it as the place to go, as one of the best places to go to eat in CTG. Years ago, I was used to say to my local friends that Riquisimo was a place patronized mainly by "gringos y putas". All ISG members, maybe.

On the other hand, Carbon De Palo is much better! I recommend it for dinner, if one wants to stay in Bocagrande and is too lazy to move to Centro. The ambient and dishes are of an upper category vs. Riquisimo. Good meat on charcoal grill. Yet, definitely not a place I miss when in my country I dream about old times in CTG.

Generally local chica will not be interested in bargaining for you. They do not want to antagonize their compatriots. In Spanish culture men take the lead in negotiations. You should negotiate knowing fully well you are still going to pay the gringo price. Talking to few people will get you an idea about the approximate price. Do not make her uncomfortable asking her to negotiate for everything.

Only real girlfriend will do that. My Chinese GF negotiated everything when we were together and toured everywhere. She also knew to go to the airport and get the cheapest price at the check in counter rather than booking ahead. Many a time they upgraded us.

I do not know if you will be successful in finding a fun girl who is non pro. It is not Thailand or Philippines. Better to meet and stay together couple of days before taking any trips together. Unless there is mutual love it will be boring.

Everything is probably not on the menu. Chairs, cups / ice, massage, jet ski. I also might not want to move from my chair and elect to have someone grab those items for us.

There are set prices for all that stuff. I think they add 10% for service at the end.

You make the assumption that the chick is a good negotiator or even a negotiator at all; or is even aware what the prices should be. Look at all the guys on this site that for whatever reason will not even negotiate with chicks. They just pay the price they are given.

I had a chick over the other night. She called a taxi and hung up and said they will be here in 10 minutes. I said how much did they say it would cost? She did not ask. So she was just going to hop in the taxi and pay the price he gave her. And this is a normal chick, not a hooker. You have to be careful not to give them undue credit. She won't be that helpful. You need to understand the mindset over there. There are two important things about it:

(1) Everyone has a right to work. Don't fuck with how people earn money. That's why you rarely see restaurant workers chase away vendors who bother people on patios.

(2) You're an endless money machine. She probably thinks beyond what you're giving her you have the ability to give 10 x more.

I mean she could be helpful and negotiate but the touts will resent her big time if she helps you too much. Generally, chicas won't want to go the extra mile and have to deal with the repercussions.

The way to do this properly is to get a tout to arrange things for you but only do this if you're going big. Getting your own boat etc. Then he can be your waiter too. My tout, when I take a boat out to Cholon, will go to the restaurant to order food and negotiate everything including his cut from them. We bring our own alcohol. I then give him a tip after we're done. This only works if you're going to be spending anyway.

IMHO Cartagena chicas are used to tourist. Unlike Cuban you probably won't be her first American she's ever seen or had sex with. The Cubans are still a little intrigue meeting Americans.
