Low-cost American airline JetBlue will offer three weekly non-stop flights from New York to Cartagena starting November 2012.

"Cartagena is finally within reach. At the convenient prices we offer, it's a bargain to go visit 'La Heroica, ' one of the most coveted destinations on the Colombian Caribbean Coast," said John Checketts, director of route planning for JetBlue Airways.

JetBlue is currently offering a special $149 one way ticket to promote the new route, beginning November 2, 2012.

The flights will leave Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from New York at 8:25AM and from Cartagena at 2:05AM.

Too funny! I just bought my booked my flight back this morning. Nevertheless, I am happy to hear the good news. There are no direct flights to Cartagena from the NYC metro. JetBlue's direct flight and good pricing, should make this an attractive destination.

Just a note that Nicholas11 is a good guy. I met him the last time. He is not selling anything or looking for a buck, although I gave him a few pesos to fill the gas tank of his car (the distance between venues is pretty far). He lives locally, works doing translations and other things. If you reach out to him and he wants to hang out, he knows his way around and can be a good friend to have in the city.

Quality of girls was not as high as in some previous visit. Still there were some nice ones.

If you are watching your spend, I would not visit Cartagena. It is by far the most expensive destination in Colombia and it seems like those who do not like it are primarily complaining about the cost.

Was at LDV last night. Hotter chicks started coming in around 12am. Picked two and everyone agreed to 150k for short time at my condo. Think their names were Grace and Sarah. In the club, they were really nice and flirty, but once we left, they were all business. Jumped in the cab and they wanted to go to a hotel instead and said we'll do short time for 100k instead and you pay for hotel. Got in the room and they demanded 150k instead. Wasn't really about the money, but the dishonesty that turned us off. Decided to leave without doing anything. Went back to LDV and picked up some hotter ones. 200k for short time.

Anyone have any news or updates about pricing at Pleyclub? Haven't been yet. Do you know what the bar fine is and how much a girl typically charges? Thanks fellow mongers!

To update a little on Mirador del Laguito building, I have heard from a couple of others that the situation is better because the scowling administradora, who made things difficult, is now gone. My information is 2nd hand. Neither guy I spoke to attempted to bring back multiple chicas at once, so I can't speak as to any other particulars. Probably best if someone else could chime-in with a firsthand account from staying there during the past few months.

Also, does anyone have any feedback or reports on the fairly new Posiedon building? I believe that Juan now has one apartment there in his rental pool, so it would be helpful if someone could share their experience. With the problems some of the other buildings have had when they were new, I'm personally leery of staying there until hearing back from actual firsthand accounts. Anybody have anything to report on this building before one of us is the guinea pig for the team?

To update the above information, same guy who had to sign a "no prostitute" policy statement upon checking-in at the Mirador back in October was not required to do so today. Too early in trip to get any additional feedback as he hasn't brought back a working girl and has wife'd-up with one non-pro for the Christmas week.

Spent a week in CTG back in May. Thought I'd post some info that will pretty much just confirm the status quo. Was slow (typical for May) , which was okay for me, but I did run into a couple of guys who wished that there were more people, choices, etc. I stopped in LDV once on a weekday around 1:30 or 2:00 a. M. Maybe 20-25 chicas and 5-10 hombres. Plenty of doable chicas, and plenty looking a little anxious for a customer. Met a chica from Cali as she and her friend were about to leave for Electra. Caught up with them at Electra; shared a pizza and some dancing, etc. Electra was slow as well. 10-15 chicas from LDV and 10-15 chicas from other places or had already left LDV before I got there and I just didn't recognize them. Mixture of chicas I've seen in the past year (saw some faces I recognized, but now with bigger boobs, LOL) and chicas who have arrived town in the past several months. Pricing, same as it's been for the past 4 years or so, which can vary based on the chica, the hombre, that evenings supply vs demand, s / t, TLN, etc, etc.

Playa Hollywood was slow as well. Spent 3 afternoons there just relaxing, drinking some brews, etc. Really wasn't that many locals or tourists or working girls at the beach during the week I was there. Tony and Jaison eager to call chicas to the beach for one to check out, but with it so slow the girls just weren't coming to mingle about without knowing there were mongers there ready and willing. In that scenario, someone will most likely ask for taxi fare as well, which at 5 to 6 mil isn't such a big deal, but can add up for those on a strict budget. One fellow gringo wanted to sample something other than the street urchins he'd had all week, so I did have Jaison call in something different for him that he was extremely happy to meet, LOL. He said he gave her 120 mil (yes, Jaison did get a 20 mil cut from the girl and I gifted the 6 mil taxi fare for the chica when I paid my tab 'cause I didn't want to hear about it from some gringo thinking he was being worked over, LOL). Do guys get chicas for less on the beach? Yes. Do guys pay more for chicas on the beach? Yes. For as slow as it was and for the quality of the particular chica, the monger was quite happy. Plus, all he had to do was sit there sipping his beer while delivery service was brought to him. Worth an extra 20 mil for the tout and the 6 mil that I gifted for the taxi? In my book, yes, but I realize that others will disagree.

Tony was on decent behavior. He didn't show up at my building. He didn't blow-up my cell. He did ask for a beer or two, and on the day I was drinking I did buy a couple. On the day I was drinking water, I just told him not today and he left well enough alone. The other day I was there I arrived late in the afternoon and Tony was already gone (was my first day at the beach). That was a peaceful, massage, manicure and pedicure day, LOL.

I did not go to the beach on Sat. Or Sun, so my "slow" comment was from my during the week visits. As those who frequent CTG know, there are more people, be it tourists, locals, chicas to be had, etc, on Sat and Sun. Sunday in particular can often be a pleasant surprise when you pull a chica from what you first thought was an untouchable scenario of her being there with friends and family. We have to keep in mind that often Monday (seems like every other one) is a holiday, making Sunday an opportune time for a "party" for the locals.

For those thinking about heading down soon, there will be more chicas and more people in general in CTG after this week. Vacation holiday begins after this week, so expect things to pick-up for the next 6 weeks as usual during the school / university break. Much better time coming up over the next 6 weeks for beach scouting compared to the last 6 weeks.

There is a slew of budget Hotels near the Smaller Olympica look at the map under Budget Hotels, I wouldn't even bother with reservations if that is what you want for 40 a night range. As Youcan said beach girls, don't pay more than 100k pesos offer about 80k relize alot of LDV and Isis girls moonlight here by day for half price, sit in your cabana like you would hunt, just watch what is coming by and assume they are all working girls in Playa Hollywood. Read the fricking map it is in order of importance from top down.

If you can swing 60 or more per night try Juan Ventura for an apartment.
