Whoever you're staying with, be it Juan, Mery or a hotel, can organise this for you. However, I wouldn't bother. You'll pay 2x or 3x the regular fare ($18k COP) and Cartagena taxis are very safe on the whole.

Hello, I need your advice. I've booked a flight to Cartagena that arrive late at night, about midnight. I would know if there is an airport taxi service at that time or if you can suggest me someone who can do it. I'd prefer to avoid unsafe situations.

Just go to Hotel Santa Clara and plop down in the square outside the hotel's main entrance. See all those vendedores ostensibly in the cheap souvenir business? Chat them up. It usually only takes a few minutes: "You don't need any souvenirs, amigo? Bueno pues, what is it you do need?"

When I was in CTG last year, I remember that during the day there aren't a lot of pros inside the walled city. Maybe you should try Parque Centenario.

Gents. Visiting Cartagena again in August and enjoy finding P4P during the late afternoon or early evening. Don't do casas or LDV that much anymore and was wondering where some of you experienced pros find your P4P during normal hours.

Lots of little bars and hangouts inside the walled city. Any help would be appreciated.

When I was in CTG last year, I remember that during the day there aren't a lot of pros inside the walled city. Maybe you should try Parque Centenario.

Too funny! I just bought my booked my flight back this morning. Nevertheless, I am happy to hear the good news. There are no direct flights to Cartagena from the NYC metro. JetBlue's direct flight and good pricing, should make this an attractive destination.

I don't provide any specific service, just helping youguys out to know more about the city, because I live here, and know one or two things more than the average tourist.

Just a note that Nicholas11 is a good guy. I met him the last time. He is not selling anything or looking for a buck, although I gave him a few pesos to fill the gas tank of his car (the distance between venues is pretty far). He lives locally, works doing translations and other things. If you reach out to him and he wants to hang out, he knows his way around and can be a good friend to have in the city.

Yeah lots of foreign and Colombian tourists in the area.

It was a short time sesion around 1, 5 hr. I was also tired so it was good timing for me.

Quality of girls was not as high as in some previous visit. Still there were some nice ones.

For me it will cost much more to visit Cartagina than other cites in Columbia. Is it worth it?

If you are watching your spend, I would not visit Cartagena. It is by far the most expensive destination in Colombia and it seems like those who do not like it are primarily complaining about the cost.
