So there is absolutely NO WAY that the story from the working girl was over exaggerated? $400 for her time! Since when do ANY OF US pay $400 for a club girl in any part of Colombia? Those are rates for pro women in the US in South Beach. No way she was trying to milk them upfront for that price. Some of those Secret Service guys, supposedly well qualified:

1) went to PleyClub, that is one of the most famous strip / fuck clubs, where all taxi drivers want to take tourists.

2) brought girls back to their rooms, that is where classified and delicate stuff is supposedly stored.

3) finally claimed "we did not realize they were prostitutes".

At least points 2) and 3) suggest they must be moved to another function.

i don't know what is "rift raft". the police in ctg checks tourists because many of them are drug users. they come to colombia because they think they can do here what they cannot do at home. at least, coca is cheaper. i have seen several idiots buying coca and abusing over any limit.

whenever police stopped me, after a routine check of documents of me and the girl (if any) , they explored my pockets. this happened maybe 10-20 times in my life, and i've been never worried or felt unconfortable. no profiling, because they really don't care about people going with prepagos, and they don't take note of my name. why should they? there's nothing wrong in being with a girl (except the case the girl is ****, but this really seldom happens in ctg). this is not usa.

i have no doubt that the colombian police are professional and i have the upmost respect for them. the nypd are also very professional, and i have the upmost respect for them, but the fact is that the nypd use stop and frisk to keep out the rift raft. the policy has nothing to do with their level of professionalism, it has to do with not wanting rift raft. it also has to do with profiling. they say that the security check points were put in place because of narcoterrorism and farc, now i certainly do not look like anyone in farc and i would hardly fit the profile for the average narcoterrorist. i didn't say anything about being harassed or being shook down (which is what unprofessional police do) i am saying that is possible that single white guys with prepagos are being profiled.

Nothing to worry, if you have done nothing wrong. Being with a girl is not a problem. Why should it be? You are not in USA. There, you can have a gun in your pocket, but if you are with a girl dressed too sexy, presumably a street girl, hmmmmm. TROUBLE!

Thanks for the info and I like your way of thinking. Freelance is definitely my preference, just didn't see much of it in Medellin so I was preparing myself for that type of scene in Cartagena or Cali. I'll be sure to reach out for those directions when I book my trip. Appreciate it.

I have never been to Cali, but I thought I would throw my two cents in because I have made a few trips to Cartagena.

If it is proximity you want, then Cartagena is good. But you say hotel. I say you should think "Apartment"! You say "casa", I say you should think "freelance". But if you are into the casa scene, thats fine too. Now let me tell you how to decide for yourself if Cartagena has the proximity you desire. In the Colombia forum that this "Cartagena Reports" thread is in there is a thread called "Cartagena Lists", if you go to "Cartagena Lists" and you open it and you scroll down to the last entry made by Hillbilly69, at the bottom of that entry is a link that will take you to a custom made Google map and you can see where Hotels, Apartments, Casas, and other places to find chicas.

My guess is that women are cheaper in Cali, but women travel from all over Colombia to Cartagena to sell their affections for money so that their family doesn't know, there are also local street walkers that are cheaper and less good looking but even some of them are hot. Between El Laguito, Boca Grande and The Historical Center. They are all a ten minute taxi ride apart, in theory if you go to Playa Hollywood during the day, and LDV at night, you could get laid twice a day and never leave El Laguito, the trick is to make sure you have a chica-friendly apartment or hotel. I always, these days, rent from the same guy in El laguito, an apartment on the ocean with a balcony and I pay about $90 dollars a night. You can find freelancers in many places other than LDV (La Dolce Vita is a discotecha that is nothing but freelance women, usually about thirty women ranging from 6s to 8s and 9s) almost always the women greatly outnumber the men so it is a buyers market. As of lately they have started a minimum drinking rule, so smart guys get there at about 11 to 11:45 pm and just wait outside for women to show up and catch them before they go in)

Basically you have 24 hour pussy like this: Playa Hollywood during the day, LDV in the night, and Elektra in the late night to dawn.
