So this is just a little piece of what's happening over my first week here.

Keep in mind these girls were inside the club, female to male ratio was 10 to 1 and they were sitting being blocked by a wall of other girls standing so mongers couldn't see them. We only saw them because they were sitting at the table behind us.

My friend an I are not about to drop $600 combined on some average looking chicas when we have endless options.

Needless to say, instant delete and we just went with girls that were already know. Prices already set based on our history of knowing them over the years and zero bullshit haggling from being over charged.

The issue is simple. The girls are getting paid this from the weekend mongers. They get drunk and high and these average girls look like a dime and they give 'them what they want not to hassle.

Me personally I am guilty of paying a premium. But on my longer trips I will pay market rate with all options available. On my short trips I will not hassle with time not being on my side and especially if the trip lands on a weekend, even the average girls are willing to gamble.

Let's be real for a minute. What you're offering is hard work for her. She can take 3 days to find one client whose so fucked up he prob won't even get it up. I mean you have to be intoxicated to pay 300 $ without hassling right?

But that same offer you gave her will be good on a Monday when she needs money.

The game the girls run is pretty simple too.

Thurs. Sat during prime club hours the price is at a premium unless it's late and the girl is running out of options.

What are the chances of finding a cute girl like this who can speak English like her in Cartagena?

I went dates with like 50 women from seeking.com/ SA over the last 2 years and tried to pick out the most attractive. There were two of fifty who were in her class looks wise, and neither spoke English.

Honestly, the hardest thing to find in comparison to a girl like that is the height and weight. She looks like she is over five nine and under 130 lbs. I bet there is less than a dozen gals like that in Cartagena and less than a hundred in either Medellin or Bogota.

Speaking English is a mixed bag. I would say 5 of 50 were fluent and half spoke some English. With my Spanish and their English and google translate, we got by. Communication was not an issue with me.

The irony is the hourglass figure this girl has, which is so hard to find in the USA, was something I looked for and found in Colombia. I would probably put that number at 75 or 80% of the women I dated. Interestingly, the guys on here who live in Colombia are less than impressed with perfect figures and say they see it every day.

My gal told me that Paisas are the shortest of the women in Colombia, and she is a model and five ten herself, so I guess she would know. Finding a tall hot Paisa like this would seem to be pretty hard to do.

My gal does not have tattoos but her friends have told her she is boring for not getting them. I do not know what to make of these gal's tats. She gives off more of a model vibe than stripper vibe, but I cannot imagine modeling agencies liking the tats.

I think all of this is just assurance for the holidays that Cartagena will be puta-free. They want people to come and spend their money in the city for the holidays and last thing they want those people to talk about when they home is how many putas where running around the plaza.

Like Kafka says it is hard to find chicas in Cartagena or any of Colombia that speak good English. As per her ;looks I also point out that it said at the beginning of the video that the girl was from Bucaramanga. There was one scene where it looked like Cartagena but the rest looks like it was shot in Bucaramanga. This explains something about her looks. Average chica from Cartagena is going to be darker skinned becuase they are Costena but a chica from Bucaramanga is more fair skinned becuase like chicas from Medellin they are essentially Paisa from the Andes region. That goes without saying that plenty of chicas from the Andes region do visit Cartagena to work. But as far as her speaking Englsih so well I wonder if he or the producers of this TV show did not shop around on a website like Colombian cupid or even seeking arrangements to find her. That would explain how he snagged one who speaks English so well.

Some of the most gorgeous women (in my opinion) I have met in Cartagena were from Bucaramanga. There is an old photo attached of one I met years ago. You can see by her cell phone how long ago.

Beautiful this is why I love Colombia. I agree about the Bucaramanga girls. For some reason they're more down to earth than the Medellin and definitely the Cartagena. I'm not going to shed any tears about the Clock Tower, the last time I was there in September it was rough, not really the girls but the other element that seemed to come around. Just getting in a taxi was problematic.

Damn, what a shame. I'm scared to even go to Cartagena now. I'd be scared to even approach a girl in the clubs and ask for services. They probably would do stings or something idk. Clubs are safe just make sure the chicas have their Cedula and verify their age.

The problem I have with this is that they are pushing all the girls from where the clock tower to inside the clubs, and if they do that it won't be long before the clubs do the same bullshit in Cartagena that they do state side where girls enter free but guys have to pay to enter. Dolce already hit me with that a few times this year where no bottle service no entry. When I cave and say ok and point to the medium bottle they say they don't have any more only large bottles. When I point to the Titos they say they don't have it either. So we usually end up getting some type of liquor we don't drink and just give it away to the girls just so we can get in have a seat and get decent girls.

I notice this trend among taxi drivers when dealing with foreigners has changed to be more aggressive and deceptive. Many of them want to get in on the overcharging of tourists.

One taxi driver told me that I have to pay 20,000 pesos instead of 8 because it was raining. We argued in the taxi but he had home-field advantage and I had already given him the 20,000 expecting my change. It's not the money. It was how he try to handle me.

I noticed their overall attitudes were far more deceptive from when I first came. It's like being back in a DR where you have to ask them how much before you conduct any business.

I find the same thing to be true. In general it feels like the whole country is kind of become more disrespectful of foreigners. If the president really wants to make Cartagena more hospitable for travelers he needs to crack down on all the hustlers that are pushing a hard sale on tourists no matter where they're from. Sure the clock tower has become something of an eyesore and that's understandable but targeting foreigners is not the answer. To me sex tourism is people on sex tours, groups that are specifically marketed as providing sexual experiences. Bit I heve mo idea what Duque means, and I don't know about you but I don't want to be the test case.

If you go from the airport terminal, they add an airport fee for airport pickup. Often I have walked a couple of blocks away, onto the main street, by the drug store and hail my cab from there. Also they have a rate chart. Normally 8 mil sounds like the regular rate. But the rate is higher after certain hours and possibly on weekends. Ask for the rate chart if you feel they are taking advantage of you.

Thats exactly how there were getting us. They would say its raining and streets are flooded so it cost more. But to be fair we did have to drive very slow through some foul smelling water every night in Bocagrande and EL Laguito. After the first 2 time they got me with the 20 mil on this trip I just tell them "10 mil a Centro" or 10 mil a El Laguito" then when they say no I start walking to another taxi and it quickly changes to yes jajaja.

Same shit the motoconchos use to do to me in Sosua. I know its 50 pesos to get from where we were to the beach or Anvee but they wants to charge 100 or 200 pesos.

Every day haggling jajaja.
