Minimum wage in the USA is $7. 25-$15 an hour. A hot young hooker in the US makes $400-$1,000 an hour. They don't work for minimum wage. I've got better use of my time when on vacation than to haggle with poor hookers over $14, less than what I pay for a glass of wine in a restaurant at home. Yes I will throw out a lower number but if it is not accepted without hesitation I just pay the puny amount. I don't want to risk poor service over hard feelings, I want it to be full GFE which it usually with me. And I will tip them if its a great experience. I think of it as charity to the third world.

Damn, good info. I'm thinking about hitting CTG soon for a few days. Never been to these spots. I cringe at the thought of some of what you described, but I would be willing to check it out to see what the talent looks like. Sounds like CTG is becoming the new Sosua LOL.

Sad to say yes, its slowly changing to Sosua the more the government put in restrictions to to stop the street walkers and foreigners are injecting millions into real-estate in that area as well. I'm surprised that I have not seen any YouTube Drama in CTG yet from these amateur Sosua gringos who are loud mouths, throwing cash in the air, overpaying, flashing money, etc.

But I suggest you check it out, not just for the chicas as there are many things to do in CTG besides the chicas. The daytime activities such as tours or photo scenery opportunities alone more than makes up for not getting a TLN every night. Your experience maybe different than mine or anyone one else on here but that's what makes this board great of sharing experiences and tips of where to go, where the ATMs are, where are there currency exchange places open late in Centro, etc.

LL is correct. 900 k COP is what the typical Colombian earns a month. Which is about $240 a month. And don't let the term "minimum" fool you. This is what a large percentage of the populace makes and there are plenty who make less. So literally about $10/ day.

Space aka No Name have always been there. More hip hop / reggaetand music and average girls.

They won't try to hit you in the head with gringo prices but its cool. You get a table, order a bottle plus mixer. Pick out the girls you want, invite them to your table to drink then bring them back to your AirBB for the night. The only downside is that you may have some American Gringos in the VIP peacocking and all the girls are grouped up around the VIP trying to get in while ignoring everyone else. I usually take the table in the back far side by the bathroom so I can see the girls as they come in or go to the bathroom and pick them off as I see fit. They won't try to over charge you at Space which is why I like it.

Dolce Vita a little more Latin flavor. Every time I've been there there were little to no dark skin girls in there. Mostly all local girls and local guys. The girls usually pay attention to the type of wristbands the guy at the door puts on you as it lets the girls know if you are a baller or not. I usually tell them give me the regular band to avoid the gringo prices from the chicas. I don't even get a table, I go straight to the bar, order a drink and see what girls I like. If I don't see anything I like by the time I finish my drink I leave and go hang out at the Exito in front of Delirium. And wait for the girls to come out who didn't get a customer and get them for the normal price for the night.

Delirium is a total shit show. Way too small and way too packed, too many hookahs, you step in and by the time you step out the smoke smell in all in your clothes and hair. As soon as you step in its like you are walking into a NBA / NFL locker room, filled with black guys upstairs and downstairs. This place have the most girls but that's because the light skin girls know that the black guys will pay whatever they ask to be with a light skin girl which is why I avoid that place. I refuse to pay 800 mil la noche for a girl from Delirium due to the color of my skin when I can grab something around the corner at Space for 500 mil la noche.

All in all I prefer Space. Those steps can be challenging after a few bottles though. I usually hit the bouncer at the door with 20 mil when ever I go there. Little chubby guy. One warning, is never use your card here, always pay in cash and never expect change. Again, never expect change.

I think I read that the average salary in Colombia is somewhere around $41 a day, to put things in the USA / Gringo perspective. Maybe someone has a better source as even that sounds a little high??

Every 50 mil is like $14 usd. So even if you paying 200 mil or 300 mils it's only like $30 more. Me personally I like the thrill of negotiating. Most of the time I would give them the extra 50 because it's only.

Do you proactively ask a waiter to bring the reader? Unlike some foreign countries, in US restaurants they run your card either at the cashiers or computer terminals located in certain spots. They don't usually bring the card reader to your table.

I just got back from NYC where 99% of the time I used Apple Pay.

Unfortunately there is no need for them to write the numbers down. They use a swiper to lift the info off the card, and this can be done right in front of your face without you even noticing it.

I think this is what happened to me last year when I was in Bogota. I narrowed it down to a few places it could have happened. But what is interesting is they swiped my card in front of me each time and someone still used my card to buy products from Amazon. I was able to cancel it but it was a lesson that they are using other ways to steal credit card info.
