All the area around Clock Tower is closed by police barricades, and not only the square inside, but also the whole area outside the wall in front, until almost the road. There are only 2 or 3 passages, where staff monitors people passing by. This makes very unconvenient to all tourists to walk around and enjoy the place, which is one of main tourist spots. There is a police van in the middle, with blue lights, and another small car, which sometimes begins to play police siren, just to make noise and annoy people.

What is the result of all this? That the number of girls is the same as before, but instead of being gathered in the square they flood all the streets around. In other words, if before puritan people was bothered by seeing 50 sexy girls standing in the square, now people see the same girls but walking all around, in a radius of say 3-4 blocks. Basically, the Alcalde acted as the one who sees dust on the floor and thinks to clean by spreading it all around the house. In addition, he ruined the experience to all those tourists who like to roam the city just to enjoy the place. I also noticed less Venezolanas, which is a pity.

I was out at night but not that late and saw the barricades of which you spoke. I only saw one woman who gave off the hooker vibe. We were walking around the city and went to a restaurant called Marea's that was fantastic. They had a chocolate soufflé / volcano desert to die for.

But before we got to the restaurant, we passed the area where the new Four Seasons is being built. Here is what I read on line:

End of link. I am not sure you can see the ground level area of the clock tower from the Four Seasons site, but you can easily see the clock tower itself. Point is this hotel is going to be huge for the city of Cartagena and the mayor as far as capturing fees and property taxes, and I do not see Marriott, which runs the Four Seasons, putting up with hookers in view from their hotel.

My guess is the hookers will have to keep moving or maybe even go under ground.

Personally, I like it more than before (except the barricades, which are a true nonsense, and having less girls from Venezuela). I never liked to see all that puteria in front of reloy. One last word: after midnight or 1 am, nobody bothers anymore, and the passages are left open, so girls enter the square and walk or stand, mixed with regular tourists.

That's what you guys get for electing a left-wing Petro Liberal as the alcalde. In Medellin we elected a conservative and the first thing he did was remove all the barricades that were put in place by his liberal predecessor Quintero. Things are back to normal in Medellin once again but with a slightly heavier police presence but open without barricades.

Also I've started to notice more vennies from Cartagena are now in Medellin working plaza botero, I fucked one last week a 21 year old vennie who told me she usually works in Cartagena.

To me, the clubs are not an issue. Clubs are not casas where girls stay resident. The same girls, who I was used to see at Reloj around 23, later were trying their luck in Space or Imperium or etc. , then going in and out until time to call the night. I assume now it is better, because girls now have no place to "hide" and are all out on display. Yesterday I have seen a small group flirting with random guys at Eivissa. If a girl has the money to pay drinks, then the clubs are many and all full of people.

They have the hip-hop crowd now. But that club is not in a good neighborhood, so I expect to hear that gringos will be getting robbed or stuck up from there. I heard if you want to go there, make sure you have a guide. The rules for the girls are that only girls that have worked at Delirium are allowed to enter. I'm not sure how much taxis are charging yet but I imagine they can charge anything now cause you will want to leave that neighborhood as fast as you can.

I heard that the Space crowd may be going to a club called Terazza 47. That is also outside the walled city, closer to Caribe Plaza mall, from what I'm hearing. It's only one floor and might be smaller than Space. Not sure of the clientale but I would imagine its locals since this is in their neighborhood.

Heard the same and saw some WA and Insta stories. Been there last time 2021. People should be much more careful there as in centro. Is Paraiso del Marino still open?

Was in Centro last night. Plenty of folks partying, but the working girls are no longer concentrated in one spot. Usually just in groups of 3 - 4 in a certain spot. Making Centro less amenable to sex work is going to have knock on effects for how mongers enjoy the city now.

The AirBnBs within the walls aren't worth it anymore.

The best way to enjoy the city is to have a girl already with you from Medellin, Cali, or Barranquilla. Or test enough girls in short time hotels until you find a good one in Cartagena.

My advice would be to stay in the nice hotels in Bocagrande. Leave your valuables in your room and don't invite a girl there. If you find a girl, either in person or online, invite her to a short time hotel. The only one I know in Bocagrande is Hotel Mar why Sol. I've rented a room there for 30 k an hour, though I'm unsure what the prices are now. Take only the money you need to pay her and for the room. You meet the girl at the hotel, enjoy her, and leave. This eliminates you being robbed for anything.

Once you find a girl you click with, take her to Baru or Islas Del Rosario for a night or two. Get a real girlfriend experience (tongue kissing, hand holding, and bareback sex) at a nice private hotel there. A great time for both of you.

Just got some news from a friend who was in el centro last night around 1 am. He said the streets are slim pickings. He went into vsop and he was his friend were the only 3 people inside except for the staff. The rooftop above vsop had some guys with girls but had guys on there phones. Maybe trying to set some shit up.

He tried to record on the intersection before you get to Delirium and everyone was yelling no video, don't record. YouTubers fucked shit up and they calling them out now.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but there was a new decree issued on the 19th: prostitution is more prohibited in the wall city. I have it translated here:

Eluniversalctg #Últimahora Through Decree 0065 of January 19,2024, the Mayor's Office of Cartagena established some measures to guarantee public order, stop sexual exploitation and the prohibition of the consumption of hallucinogenic substances in public spaces, educational institutions, churches, among others.

One of the measures established in said decree is the prohibition of the offering of sexual services within the walled cordon.

"The exercise of prostitution activity and other purposes shall be suspended in areas of public space in the Historic Center. Likewise, the sale and promotion of sexual services in the City Center is prohibited," the decree reads.

This decree modifies Decree 0003 of January 1, 2024, through which measures are established to restore public order in the Historic Center of Cartagena de Indias the. T. And see and its tourism sector against sex tourism and human trafficking, especially to protect children and adolescents, and measures against the marketing and trafficking of narcotics, and other provisions are issued.

The promotion of commercial and tourist activities through images, links, texts, documents or audiovisual files that directly or indirectly imply sexual activities in the Historic Center of Cartagena is also prohibited.

After having such a great weekend in CTG in Dec (5 conventionally attractive, slim perky, nice tits and ass, mix of plastic and natural, all for 250 K-400 K cop for someone with weak Spanish) I won't be going back until their routine is established.

A new decree from Dumek strictly banning prostitution in Centro. Authorities have already been restricting access for anyone suspicious in the streets directly leading to The Clock Tower with barricades manned by police. Now they have the ammo to prosecute the girls who have been standing outside those barricades in the streets outside of the barricades.

I saw a lot of action in Laguito. I went to watch the Bills / Chiefs game on Sunday at my buddys house and walked around after. I saw groups of muchachas, usually 4 or 5 in a handful of spaces. It looks like there and probably Getsemani will be the new hot spots.
