Fresh back from a 5 day romp with 6 friends. Stayed in an Airbnb right across the street from the square. The square is back to normal with babes hanging out. Not as many as before but surely enough. Playa Hollywood was dead during the day. Only a handful of girls that were just average. If Cartagena gets a daytime bar location going, that will be killer. We went to Dulce Vita every night. Superstars inside this place. Started going to CTG in 2019 and prices in DV were 500 tops for all night. Now every babe was quoting $100 us for one hour and $250 US for all night. Its almost like they unionized. BBBJ was even harder to comeby but possible. I went with 350,000 CUP for an hour option mostly which use to work for me. The babes use to come, have some drinks for a while and then do the deed. Now, they were very mindful of time and were less interested in drinking and dancing with everyone. CTG is till a great time but in time the prices will make it not worth it. I had one pal who had a babe ask for $300 US for all night and she would not budge. And, he partied with the same babe 4 months ago for $200 US for all night. My Airbnb also went up $300 a night from the same time last year. I love CTG but I'm starting to look to other parts of Colombia that has clubs like Dulce Vita and Space for a better value. CTG is still a good time just be prepared to fork over more coin.

This is not the board to discuss what I'm actually referring to.

If you go to Ctg or Mde you can physically see what type of new blood is coming in from the states.

If you're not street savy then you're not going to know what I'm talking about.

Another contributing factor is the old timers who are big on SEA.

They were also coming to Colombia during the pandemic.

The prices for everything from food to real estate to girls are going up.

But now that the world is back to normal and SEA will open back up I'm noticing those same girls are now struggling.

Desperate for customers. However they're still maintaining high prices.

But based on what I'm observing I feel within a few months prices will start to go back down but still be higher than it was 5 years ago.

This one was a last minute thing.

It was at 1 in the morning and the girl that was with me had an emergency and needed to go home. I kind of figured something was wrong because she kept sending voice messages back and forth with someone and I could hear it in her voice something wasn't right. I should have just called it a night and taken my stupid ass to sleep but I decided to walk by the clocktower a see if I can get a good one off so I can sleep well.

If it wasn't for a camera I would have never found the money on her with how fast and well she hid it. I'm actually going over the other camera footage now. People think I'm paranoid because I bring spy security cameras with me when I travel but those little things can identify and let me know exactly what happens / happened when something goes wrong.

A little USB phone charger camera goes a long way, I just aim it where I keep my valuables and hope I never have to look at the recording as things can get ugly once you confront them with video of them doing it. (been there before in DR when a chica tried to steal my Cologne).

I am not 100% sure either way. I think it is $300/ week for many states, plus the stimulus money. I know several expats who don't live is US receive stimulus money. Not everyone receive the money is poor, even a very small percentage can have an impact but I guess they are not likely to pay US $300.

It's fraud as well. I know expats who are do veterans fraud, claiming PTSD to get money from the military living in DR doing Travel Chanel on YouTube.

I know people who apply for affordable housing in a luxury building, once they get the apartment furnish it, sublet it at market rate for 3 times the price while they move back in with their parents.

Allot of they young folks are getting government money via fraud and traveling.

You would be surprised how many of these fake ballers I know who still live at home with their mom rent free still have their cellphone on their moms family plan. Failure to launch syndrome. I know many who did PPP fraud claiming to be barbers even though they weren't just to get money. Same with stimulus money, knew some that quit their jobs to get unemployment because it paid higher than their minimum wage job only to realize they can't get unemployment if they quit and can only get it for being laid off / fired.

Just an observation from my view. I live in NJ and in NYC daily, you cannot believe the amount of fraud to get government money to ball out on over here. I can get into the bums who move into a girl Section A apartment he agrees to pay her rent because it's little to him. The one who take their name of their moms project apartment so rent is only 30% of her income alone meanwhile they still live there. Upper east side rent control apartment passed down in the family sublet out at market rate meanwhile they live in Florida.

I'm just watching them ball out because once they reach that 40 and 50 it will catch up with them.
