So on Friday when everything clicked and I realize we need to plan accordingly to put as much distance between us and the Sosua mongers so we don't get into any bullshit of girls trying to over charge us because other guys are willing to pay double. While were back in the apartment with the chicas I say "we need distance, time for the boat to get away from the nonsense for a day. " I call my guy, he sends pictures of the boats, 3 boats available, $350, $600, and $1200. Cool, I show my boy since its his first trip to CTG, ill let him pick the boat. He goes for the $1200 boat, again, trying to explain to him, that's a boat that seats 20+ people, beds, air conditioning, and bathrooms. We don't need all of that, because its only 3 guys and 3 girls and if we pay in pesos it will be about 500 mil split 3 ways if we take the smaller boat. He insists on the $1200 boat, so I say "fine, we over here are fine with the $350 boat, if you want the $1200 boat we will give you $200 each to be generous and you can pay the difference. " Now he kind of understand and lowers to the $600 boat. My boy and I look at each other and say fuck it its only $200 each no big deal. I confirm with my guy and tell him we need the boat Saturday as early as possible so we can get to the islands early and have maximum time on the water he says 8 am is the best he can do and the boat will meet us at the Clock Tower port, I say "no, I want to take the boat from the marina in Manga because less vendors and less annoyance" he says he can only do the Clock tower. Ok, cool. Deals done..

Absolutely loved reading your detailed experience. Damn what a fricken newbie you got as a friend. But I have been there and done that.

I had planned on boat rental in Cartagena in the past but just the logistics of getting together 5 or 6 guys to share it with was impossible.

Let me know if you or any one else is up to a boat rental and I am all in. I could easily drive up from my home in Medellin and I have 2 or 3 cute fun and beautiful paisa chicas I would bring along as after-all 'sharing is caring'.

I just saw a post on a group I'm part of, of somebody throwing dollars out their hotel window to the crowd down below in El Centro a couple of nights ago. The minute I saw the video, I pieced together who was throwing the money: The same cats Nypher mentioned that were from Sosua that were in Cartagena for the weekend. They do the same dumb shit in the clubs in Sosua.

The absolute most I've ever been quoted in Delirium or Dulce was 350 mil or whatever the equivalent of $100 is. I've been to Cartagena 7 times since 2019 last trip being in June and and upcoming trip scheduled for Nov. Is this the new price we should expecting?

Mongers are coming in over paying and the girls egos get inflated thinking that every monger should pay that price. As my main dolce chica says, "every girl in Dolce is 800 mil, but as the night goes on and no one is taking watch the price drops drastically".

For instance there is this one girl I saw every night, skinny as a toothpick but have the biggest fake tits and biggest fake ass I've even seen. She look absolutely ridiculous to me and I would never take her ever, but surely enough every night she's walking back with a guy on her arm. What ever her asking price is, someone is paying for it every night.

I text one of chicas and ask her if she wants to go but she have to sleep over tonight, she's cool with it she only ask that I pay for her round trip taxi which was 40 mil. Cool. My other boy text a chica she wants 300 mil for the day 1 polvo, hes cool with it. Now comes the newbie, the chicas he's texting are telling him 800 mil for the day, 1 polvo. So I ask him "how the fuck are they charging you so much and they know you?" he responds back with "These are new girls that he was just getting numbers from to get with later" Another hard facepalm! I explain to him that he needs to get girls who hes been with before as if they like you they will be with you for a lower price or even free rather than overcharge you and just tolerate you all day on the boat. He gets it, sort of, and text back the chicas he was with earlier in the week, one of them agrees to 300 mil for the day with oral only, he agrees (I didn't want to tell him she only want to do oral only because she wants to keep it tight and undamaged so she can work immediately after we get back). We have the current chicas leave and start getting our things together while we wait for the boat chicas to show up to which they show up almost 2 am. Cool, they take their chicas back to their room to do whatever, my chica stays in the living room with me to play a drinking game for some time.

-Saturday.

I wake up at 6 am. Knock on everyone door trying to get everyone up and out the door because we also need to buy beers, ice, and snacks for the boat. Everyone gets up, an hour passes my boy and I are in the living room with our chicas ready to go, Titos on deck. The newbie is still in his room with his chica, I go in there to get him but his chica starts walking toward the door so I'm thinking hes behind her so I turn around back to the living room. Its now 7:30 am hes still in his room, so I yell out "Everyone already gave me the $200 to pay the guy, we on the boat with or without you, we need to go now!" he comes out his room diamond earrings in his ears, hair all done, , designer shirt, fancy pants, smelling like he took a bath in cologne and Yeezys. My friend and I look at each other in confusion as we are in plain white Tee's, with swimming trunks under our cargo shorts, and wearing water shoes. He then says "I can't with this man, hes extra, extra. " Fuck it, I don't have time to explain it to him, we out.

We get out there, start shopping for ice, beers, snacks and cups. My guy says he will meet me in the store because he does not want me pulling out that much money at the dock as the vendors are will hound us. Fine he gets to the store, I pay him and he helps with the bags to the dock. The boats already there, the newbies eyes lights up like a kid on Christmas. I pay the dock tax which was confusing as hell because some random guy came up to me and said I need to pay an additional 57,000 COP the gave me this long piece of paper but then I realize it was 9500 per passenger on the boat. Ok cool. Here's 60 mil keep the change, I don't have time and don't want coins in my pocket. I turn around and the hat guy is trying to sell the newbie a hat, he pulls out his money, then bam! They all surround him, they trying to sell him sunglasses, the water proof neck strap thing, etc. He insists he wants the hat and pays 80 mil for it. I start laughing because his hat cost more than the dock tax. Ok everyone is one the boat and were off just a little after 8 am.

Suddenly I realize the boat isn't going the right direction, and we are pulling into the same marina I wanted to leave from. I ask what's up, they have to gas up the boat. The newbie starts asking tons of random questions about why they gassing up the boat on our time and the boat should have been fully ready before coming to get us. I explain to him (things are different down here, they are not going to pay for a full tank of gas on a promise that gringos will show up with the money to pay for the boat. So they only buy a little gas out of pocket then once they receive payment for the boat they gas up the boat for our use.) he gets it. Fuels done, were off, he put on his hat and starts taking selfies, boat hits full throttle and whoosh, there goes his 80 mil up in the air and in the water. My other boy just shakes his head. We finally get to the first island where everyone snorkels and plenty of boats are already there, everyone is staring at our boat pulling in. Newbie is loving all the eyes watching him. Hes taking selfies, videos, trying to post live updates. I pull him aside and tell him "Look around you, every fucking boat here is smaller than ours and have 3 times as much people, they probably thinking we are stupid for having this big ass boat with no one on it. " Hes starts to understand a little, I think hes getting it now. We all jump into the water to swim except the newbie, hes still up there on the boat taking selfies and posting online. I swim around and tell him "don't bother, you're Verizon, and you're roaming, put your phone in airplane mode and do that later when we are back in Centro or your battery will be finished before we get to Cholon. " he doesn't get it and keeps at it, didn't even get off the boat. Crack open the Titos start the fun! We make it to Cholon, I tell the boat crew we will get off in the water and walk to shore because I didn't want to spend more pesos by using the "free ladder" and they do so except for the newbie, he have the boat crew go up to the shore and uses the "free ladder". My boy looks at me and says "now we know whose going to pay for the ladder for all 6 of us to use when we leave" and starts laughing. Its the newbies first time so we let him pick where to eat, in the water or on the beach, he picks water. Ok cool. Everyone orders 2 items of food and about 2 drinks each. Were eating in the water and food dropping in the water below us, here comes the fish and surely enough his swimming trunks does not have netting inside so they are swimming up his pants so he starts paying more attention to keeping fish out his pants than taking selfies of the food. Ok cool, free entrainment for the rest of us at the table. Bill comes, newbie has to pay the total bill (one person usually pays, split the bill equally and everyone reimburses that person in USD when we are back in the apartment) newbie wants to know why are there 14 food orders on the bill when we only ordered 2 things each. I tell him "don't worry, just pay it, the other 2 orders was for the boat crew, we have feed them, its customary. They are also watching all our shit on the boat to make sure no ne takes it" Ok cool he gets it, he goes to pay by tapping his phone but his battery is dead (guess who didn't put their phone in airplane mode). Now he has to go back to the boat to get his card using the "free ladder" jajaja. He gets the card and swipe not realizing when you use your card on the island they charge a 20% surcharge even though they showed him on a calculator what the total would be. A warning to the swipe happy newbies out there, if you want to avoid that fee, bring lots of pesos because things add up quickly and yes you also have to pay to use the bathroom there.

Foods done, time to leave, everyone goes to use the *free ladder* because we might as well at this point. I tell newbie to give them 15 mil for the ladder. He doesn't get it. I explain to him although the ladder is free they work on tips and since he used the ladder 4 times its only fair to give them 2 mil per use plus a little extra besides its only $4 equivalent. He gets it. Time for water activities, New guy wants to Jetski, I warn him, they are cash only unless you want that 20% surcharge again. He gets it, pulls out a wad of pesos and our boat crew whistles the jet ski guys over. I see where this is going so I negotiate a fair price for 1 hour, they agree, he hops on with his chica and they are off! The rest of us just chill on the boat playing drinking games blasting music and partying. And hour passes, he's no where to be found, another 30 minutes goes by and he comes back. What happened? The jetski stopped working. I ask him "How did you fix it" he responds "he didn't, the banana boat guys saw him stranded and started it back up for him but he had to pay them 50 mil" and starts laughing like its funny. Ok cool, hes cool with it but I'm not. Jetski guys wants more money because he went over the hour. I tell jetski guys "No, your shit stopped working, leaving my guy stranded and he had to pay 50 mil to get it working again. So you will get paid for the agreed the hour minus the 50 mil he had to pay (all this is happening using the translator app). A little back and forth while my other friend who is Panamanian but looks black is fluent in Spanish and is sitting there playing gringo like he doesn't understand and finally out came his Spanish to shut the whole shit down, agreed price minus the 50 mil then he tells them to get the fuck off the boat. Even the chicas that was on the boat with us all day didn't know he spoke Spanish because he was using the translator app with them as well and they went from talking amongst each other constantly to real quiet for the rest of the trip. (he plays gringo to know whos genuine and whose taking advantage, cab drivers especially will talk shit in front of you with your chica while you're in the cab).

Time to head home. The newbie wants to sit on the front of the boat. Ok cool, his funereal. We get to open water and the boat starts bouncing on the waves throwing him in the air like popcorn seeds in a hot frying pan. All the chcias are laughing, and my boy and I just shaking our heads laughing. We get back to the dock, I tip the boat crew 50 mil and we jump in 2 cabs back to the apartment. Let the girls shower off then send them on their way. We have a few hours to rest up and head back out so new guy can charge his phone. Time passed, I give 2 options, we can text girls to come over or take a walk and see what we get. New guy wants to go to Dolce, ok cool. We start walking over and the newbie see a nice brown skin girl with blue eyes, short white shirt and thigh high black leather boots. He runs over to talk to her, and that when I noticed who she is but she don't recognize me. I pull my boy away and explain to him, "This is Isabell, she will charge the fuck out of you for some wack pussy, I've seen her naked and you don't want what under those clothes, I've never touched her but its your pockets" he gets the number and start negotiating, and of course she starts off at $500 USD. We move on to Dolce and of course the prices are starting at 800 mil and we have to haggle. Just then a chica that I've known for a while comes over and warns me to be careful and not have allot of chicas over as there was an incident where some gringos took chicas from Dolce back to the apartment and some of the girls waited until everyone was sleeping and took the gringos money, their watches, and money out of the other working girls purses. I asked her how the hell she knew all this, she said the gringos came back to Dolce to complain so they banded the girls from the club. (I don't know if it was a scare tactic or not) but good to know, I ask her to show her friends to my friends, my friends liked what they saw and we all agreed 400 mil for the night. On our way out one of the girls wanted KFC, passed by and if it didn't have Colonel Sanders standing by the door I would have sworn it was another club. PACKED!! No room to move anywhere, who knew KFC was that good in CTG? We skip it and back to the apartment for for fun into Sunday morning.
