I had a very similar experience the last time I flew down in March of this year. I got the PCR test but the results were on a hand written form with a cover letter. I flew Tampa to Ft Lauderdale and once in Lauderdale the agent took so long reviewing my documents I missed the flight out. I had a 16 day trip planned so I got a room for the night and they changed my flight for the next morning. Originally I was to go to BAQ but I ended up flying into CTG and and taking a bus over. Once I got to CTG for entrance the same thing happened and I got delayed there for an hour while they scrambled around to get approval.

Thank God I am very fluent in Spanish and was able to chat my way through it playing the "I'm sorry but this is what they gave me" routine.

Going back for July 4th weekend and will check all the boxes this time.

You are correct but read back through the past week in the Medellin thread. Right now you really have to keep your head on a swivel in Medellin some of the protests have been turning into riots and some Regular board members that frequent Medellin are urging extreme caution.

Here right now. 200 K for an hour unless you are some kind of mark. It's a little more stressed here at night than it was in February. But the beach had been great and plenty of fun to be had all over. Many chicas in the street in Laguito. A little more aggressive than normal. Walk around borracho at your own risk at night especially around the Torte Reloj where there are many more police and small time hustles. 10 pm curfew every night. And no restrictions going into hotels and the kind of girls I choose are not going to slip anything into my drink....lol.

Thanks for the info. It's good to have some idea what are the usual rates. I plan to spend 3 days in Cartagena mainly doing the usual tourist things but I can't resist to try the local talent. Then my plan is to fly to Medellin where the real party will start. Left Cartagena about a month ago it was getting draconian with their lock downs. Cartagena reopened beaches anyway now back till 6 PM which they haven't done since before the pandemic. I spent my share of time at the beach, over the years used Tony and FAO for their tarpa and chairs but I really can't see which one is worse on scamming and mooching any more. I got a roped in cabana from Pedro the last month or so I was there, he charged 20 mill pesos for two chairs and the cabana without ever asking for anything. He is in same area as Tony just without the scams. (in front of the coast guard tower just west of Caliwood bar on the beach West of Kiosko 4) he also knows a lot of hot girls there as well. Pica de celula thing was in effect in Medellin and Cartagena while I was there, all you have to do is match the day of the month to your ids last number odd number odd day of the month, even number even day of the month I used driverse license or my passport card never carried my passport. I never got checked even one time in Cartagena while I was there. Girls were trying to get me to pay a minimum price which I never paid, if they asked for 200 k I said fine then we are having sex two times, worked 100 percent of the time. Real life Hunger games is in effect for Colombia is no other way to describe it, the 3 months I spent in Botero Plaza and i3 months and Cartagena people are desperate, things I witnessed in Botero was shocking. Yes this happened yesterday.......the ICUs are still around 90% full but the difference is that Barranquilla is now seeing less cases and they can move patients down up there if necessary.
