Anyone see Bill Clinton in LDV this past weekend? He went to Medellin (BID conference), Barranquilla for a few hours to visit a Shakira school and then to Cartagena under the pretense of visiting a development project he had a hand in.

Caracol said it was his fourth visit to Cartagena, the most of any current or former US president.

Come on Mr. Prez post a report! You can't fool us. We know the real reason you go back to Colombia so often.

I enjoyed reading your CTG report it was a great travel report. I am in my late 30s, also about to make my second trip to CTG and speak so-so Spanish, and judging from your chica pictures we have similar tastes in chicas.

I was curious to ask you a few things if you don't mind. What internet sites did you use to line your internet chicas? I have used Amigos.com and Hi5, I have found many more women on amigos.com however the quality of the women on Hi5 seems better. Did you find any particular site better than the others for acquiring good chicas?

Also I have an apartment that is not far from LDV that I am renting from Dave Jones. Can you tell me where your apartment was, I. E. Which buidling? And who did you rent it from? I'm very happy with the apartment I've chosen and the service from Dave Jones has been professional, but I'm curious if you had rented the same apartment.

Urbanwildlife you either have no clue what you are talking about or you are full of shit. Juan has the best apartments hands down including 3 modern penthouses. Mery lost the majority of her apartments because the owners realised she is a beady eyes bandit who was robbing them blind. If she would steal from the owners then do ya not think she might steal from the clients as well? Some of the Mery fan club are going to jump in here for sure but everyone in Laguito knows about her history and it is only the Mery Fanboys who will defend her there days.

I rented from Mery once and it was a dump. The bathroom had an old toilet and an electric showerhead. Juan on the other hand has nice penthouses and several other small modern apartments with plasma screens and Internet. Of course Juan's apartments are more expensive because they are FUCKING BETTER. Like I said you have no clue what you are talking about or you are a Mery Fanboy.

The original poster had good things to say about Juan. I don't know why you're twisting his words.

The first apartment I rented from Mery was on the dumpy side, and it only cost around $40 to $50 per night. While I considered moving after I first saw the place, I'm damn glad I didn't. I came down with a nasty stomach bug, that left me weak and dehydrated. She took me to the hospital, stayed with me, and then nursed me back to health when I got out.

On later trips I told her I wanted a nicer place, and she delivered, with primo apartments at very reasonable prices considering the quality. I've stayed at two of her other apartments, one of them three times, and I liked them better than the Sofitel Santa Clara. I know she's had some problems with some of her owners, but you can count me as a member of the fan club.

Well been here a couple weeks and time to move on to Santa Marta. The clubs in el centro have been so so and have found it much better to sit down in the plaza next to the clock tower and have a beer and wait.

Normally showing up around 11:30 or midnight

Plenty of pro's working the area and allot are the same girls I have seen in the clubs. Prices have varied between 70-80mil and another 10mil at las Vegas for a room.

Defiantly a better deal then the clubs and I can hear the next morning as I have passed on the shit ass loud music with all the bass then can get out of the system.

Nice report Elpapi! I agree with the first trip being the best. Ditto for me. It's been 4 years since my maiden voyage and 80-100k was the going rate in '05 in LDV. My first night in there I hooked up with a chica that rocked my world all night for 80k and I have yet to find a fuck machine like her since, she set the bar high! I was there last November and it was depressing with the loud ass music and attitude of the girls who rival the Del Rey chicas with their prices and hard core tactics. OK I won't ***** no mo and remininsce, but at one time it was unreal!

I'd like to see the Wildlife, Surfer, and those ooh-so-sensitive black mongers all lumped in a boat with a bunch of ladyboys and pushed off Cartagena city beach. If the Colombian Navy which has a base nearby could be persuaded that the boat represented a threat to the honor of Colombia and be used for target practise, then all here at ISG would breathe a sigh of relief.

Just got back from my second trip to Cartagena. Overall had a very good time, but have to say that my first trip was better. A little bit about me: Have made several trips to Colombia and Venezuela, Spanish is just so-so, early 30’s, usually travel alone.

I think my first trip to Cartagena was better because I traveled in early February, when most of the college aged women were on vacation. I tend to prefer meeting non-pros at the bar or beach and usually do pretty well. If that doesn’t pan out, then I go for the pros. Not tryin to say I’m better than anyone who only deals with pros, I just prefer non-pros and the thrill of the chase. Also, the risks involved with pro’s weirds me out a little bit. Last trip the bars and beaches were full on normal girls, even during the week, so it made for a lot of opportunity. Also, because I traveled alone, I didn’t really have an agenda of what I was going to do, which I think is a good thing because in Cartagena it seems like good things happen to you when you are just walking around the old city or drinking a beer at one of the plazas.

This trip was a bit different, as I traveled with a couple of friends. I also lined up about 12 girls from the net. I ended up meeting about 6-7 of them, and only landed one of them in bed, which was a pathetic batting average in Colombia, IMHO. Most of the girls were definitely looking for something more long term. Maybe I should have been more clear about what I was looking for? If I was staying for longer or actually lived in Colombia then I can see this approach making sense, but logistically it was kind of a pain in the arss, and it was waaaay too time consuming. A couple of the college age girls did bring their friends over who were really cool and all of us had a good time at the beach, so it wasn’t a total loss. BTW- I purchased a cell phone at Olympica supermarket for $30, which proved to be invaluable. I later sold it on the street for $15. The bars on the weekend were definitely full, but there were VERY few women who were not there with guys, even in Tu Candela and Mr. Babillas. I mean, there were a few pros and a non-pros in Tu Candela, but that was about it. Ditto for the beach. Still had a good time at the bars and beach, but clearly not a good option this time. So my friends and I went to a few of the cat houses in el centro. Can’t remember the names except for Queens. They seemed to be fairly similar with a variety of women in the 6-7 range, and a couple of 8’s, but nothing much better than that. Our apartment was located across the street from LDV, so this is where we usually ended up. BTW- Can’t say enough good things about the apartment: great view, 2 balconys, 3 bedroom, clean and modern interior, full kitchen, AC worked perfect, great manager, and great price for 3 people. And at LDV, quality varied a lot. Seems like you just need to hang out there for awhile to find something that interests you, as the girls seem to come and go frequently. A lot of the girls asked for 250-300k and wouldn’t budge! I can understand this price if you look like Hugh Hefner or are just plain nasty, but I’m def not in those categories. Regardless, this is an insane price in Colombia! I was ableto get one girl as low as 70k ($30) for an hour. I got another two for 150k ($60) each for an hour. Two of the girls were kind of cold, but one was more into the sex than I was. LOL. The pro's were fun, but I think that Rio was better for pro's, as there was a wider variety of working women at more places (everywhere. LOL).

The city is still beautiful, especially at night. The people are still very friendly, and Cartagena is still a great value. My plane ticket was $450, apartment was $470 for a week, and food was relatively cheap. I would possibly return to Cartagena, but only during a busier time. I was told that I missed Semana Santa by a week! I think maybe Medellin or possibly Barranquilla and Santa Marta would be better spots for non-pro action. Any thoughts about these locations for non-pro action? I have hesitated to go to Medellin previously because I think I might get board during the day without a beach. Was still a great trip and I’m definitely envious of anyone who has figured out how to live in Colombia and has a decent income. Anyone wanting info on the apartment, a good dentist, or anything else, feel free to I'm me.

I just missed you in Cartagena. I like you went to all those places. The LdV varied night to night. It was hard to find anything better than 8. 5. My last two nights however I ran into about 10 girls than were 9 plus and a couple tens. All the girls leave the LDV about 1 am and go to Tu Candelas and Electra. Isis and Pleyboy are owned by an American in Texas. There is 25 girls that work in these bars, they live in the same house, and the managers "cambio" the girls from Pleybot to Isis. I went to both several times. Pleyboy is a dive. Isis is much nicer and has the better looking ones. The girls that work at Isis and Pleyboy have to be back at the House about dark each evening but freelance during the day for 100k pesos or so.

Thank you UrbanWildlife for the clarification and valuable additional info. My last experience with Juan was very positive. For my upcoming trip I have organised one of Dave Jones's apartments so I will comment on my experience with his service when I write up my trip report.

I was put off Mery by the tone of her emails and the fact that she only offered one apartment to me and she had no photos and was asking a higher price than Juan and Dave. Additionally there seems to be a lot of negative feedback about her throughout this forum. I am sure that plenty of fellas have had positive experiences with her but I prefer to err on the cautious side.

Your floating orgy sounds great. Are you planing to be in Cartagena around July?
