Visit to CTG on ice, primarily as I can't get a connection after I land at MIA at 6 pm, and given I only have 6 available nights I don't want to fanny around with an overnight stay in Miami.

Fact is I can get a AA flight at 9 pm to Dom Republic, but CTG or Medellin last flights seem to about 5 pm.

Unless the expert travellers on this board know otherwise.

TBH I'd prefer CTG but if I have to screw big titted dominicans then I'll suck it up. So to speak.

The chicas will take you to a nearby short time hotel. You may even see locals go with their girlfriends to these places. The old city has many short-time hotels that open up at night. There are a few just outside as well.

I wouldn't advise going to any girls apartment. Its better you pay the hotel and at least be safe.

The safety issue is usually for the one who takes a stranger to his / her place, not the contrary. You will not create troubles where you live, even if you just rent the room. On the other hand, if you have a thief or trouble maker in your apartment, the extraction of the unwanted guest from your place can be not trivial at times.

I have never seen any girl proposing a short-time customer to go where she lives. On the other hand, I have accompanied my girls back to their places in Getsemani a few times. One time it was a poor room at the ground level, other times a room in a small hotel. All times, we said bye at the door.

Yes. That's actually how locals do it.

It's fine to visit a chica you know well but don't expect nice digs. They tend to rent rooms more than apartments. One chica a while back I used to fuck a lot would sometimes walk back to her place with me to walk her dog or get a change of clothes.

Since my current accommodations are not private, do the girls at the clock tower generally have their own hotel rooms close by? Or will I be forced to rent someplace else?

Great report, glad you had fun. I have two questions. First question: where did you find Bourbon? Do you call all whiskey bourbon? I am originally from Kentucky and I look for bourbon everywhere I go. Did not see any in Colombia. Did not do a thorough search either. Nothing personal if you call whiskey bourbon but I am curious. The second question; did the building you stayed in have the initials HD?

I brought some bourbon from the states (travel ones for the plane). I usually drink Ron Medellin 12 in Colombia. Nena drank all the mini bottles and we ended up buying 2 bottles of Buchanan's and Nena went through most of it. I stayed in Bocagrande in initials PB. Right in front of the beach.

To be honest, curiosity after ISG made me searching for it at Lleras. Then, I have looked at it from outside <g , but I really never liked the girls I have seen going inside or coming outside. Not my cup of leche.

During the year I was in Medellin, I went to Gusto once. I'd been heading through Parque Lleras on my way to grab a bus home and some guys I'd just met wanted to have a drink, then another.

After 3 drinks, 1 guy drags us into Gusto, because he knows everyone there. It was true. He was buddies with every bartender, waitress and bouncer. I had a great time for 3 reasons.

1. That guy was crazy. He was everywhere doing everything. He ended up spending $750 in there and I didn't spend any. Not even a cover charge.

2. The other guy was much calmer and a good guy to talk with.

3. Because of the 1 guy, we were treated like VIPs. Everyone on the staff was constantly checking on us to make sure we were having a good time and the working girls weren't pushy.

I'd originally been headed home at 6 pm and didn't get there until 7:30 am (we ended up at Club Fahrenheit). Not the kind of night I wanted to repeat, but I enjoyed it.

However, there's at least 100 other dance clubs in Medellin and you can find girls willing to earn some extra money in any of them. You'll spend less for everything too. There's at least 100 regular options as well, between casas, strip clubs, girl bars and private apartments being run like brothels. Then there's the Facebook scene.

I can't say that Medellin is better than Cartagena, although I expect it's better for me. I like to spend the day walking, 10 miles or more. Cartagena is too hot for me to enjoy that. I also like to end my night by 10 or 11. That seems to be when Cartagena gets started.

For some guys Cartagena is perfect. Everyone just needs to do their research and pick the destination that best suits them. Unfortunately, it seems most guys base their decision on one report, or one girl.

Good for you. I see many reports where a guy has a bad session, and he just continues on. I feel two things are important when mongering. They are time, and leche. Most of the time your trip is not of a long duration so why waste your time, and leche on a bad choice you have made. Concerning the leche part when I was 20 years old that was not a consideration, but those days are long gone.

I remember one time in MDE I got a Chica in Mayorista for 20 K. I was so happy with the deal I had made till we got to the room, and she insisted on double condoms. I quickly paid her the 20 K,and went out again right away so I did not waste the leche on a sure dud.

BTW great trip report. Also concerning your pilot friend who ended up over paying because he did not set up the price in advance. Of all the rookie mistakes this is very near to being the top one.
