I was wondering if it's possible to have a vacation girlfriend that you can do everything with (including sex without a condom) and where is it easy to find her?

Are you fluent in Spanish? When I went I contacted a fellow monger and he was very nice to set me up with a pretty girl. We went for dinner but from that point friendliness went south. Firstly the girl my friend knew brought the young girl to my hotel 2 hours late. On chatting the girl asked me what I liked to do. Since it was my first time I wanted to take in the sights. She was not interested. She wanted me to take private boat if one of her contacts for whole day of boating and cost was exorbitant. I wanted a quiet Asian type of subservient girl to go with the flow. Cartagena girls are not into that. They are all about money, money, and more money. Even if you shell out lots of money unless you live in Cartagena you will not be able to find sweet GF relationship. That is the impression I got. I did meet some down to earth older girl who I had fun with but beauty wise nothing to write home about.

When you stay 24/7 you need a pleasant companion. Otherwise it is a torture.

I have had very good GFE relationships in Sosua, Costa Rica, Colombia talking about Spanish girls. My Spanish is American Spanish which is a mix. Many do not understand. It is better to find a girl knowing at least passable English to have conversation with.

I am very happy to hear that. Hopefully barriers will disappear well before I return. About the clubs, I could not care less of places as Delirium or Space (but I miss the *old* Space as it was before COVID, ya).

I just wish Dolce Vita returns or at least their talent Pool with another easy central tourist location. I never was pressured to buy drinks there, always struggled to decide between which of 15 beauties I wanted to take home, and the vibe was less ghetto than Delirium (I'm in Atlanta, I'm sick of it at home).

It seems the YouTube walkthru vids have plenty of hot chicas walking the club streets, but with vague dates, unclear times, and editing its impossible to know what the whole talent Pool is.

Yeah, now that you mention there are a few hotties every time I go to the gym. We go to the Bodytech in Caribe Plaza, and there are a few hotties working out there all the time. And there were a few beauties sunning themselves outside our complex near the pool. They were stunningly hot.

But still it is not Medellin or Bogota or even Barranquilla where the hot women are so plentiful it is if they grow on trees. I saw more hot women in a few nights in Barranquilla than the months I have been in Cartagena. For real.

Those cities are a lot bigger with more industry, so they get people from all over the country in addition to way more Venezuelan migrants. If you leave the tourist zones, you will be hard pressed to find someone from Cali or even from somewhere close like Valledupar. Cartagena is expensive and doesn't have a lot of jobs. Why would anyone move there?

Those are thinly veiled brothels. They will give you a massage and you can be sure extras are on the table. Get her WhatsApp number, so you can meet her outside of the spa later.

For a real massage, I swear by Plenitud. I go once a month because I'm lifting heavy at the gym. Good girls. Professional. I did get one girl's WhatsApp number, so I'm sure you could go a different way if you wanted.

After around 9 PM, they don't even bother regulating who comes in or out the square. The entrance to the clock tower on the street is unmanned.
High season is over. They may get strict again around Semana Santa when a ton of Colombian tourists pour in, but I'the say the coast is clear. I was in Centro with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, and when we left there were a handful of working ladies standing around in the square. Police couldn't be bothered.

I see some absolutely stunning girls at my gym. I just saw a few this morning. The problem with Cartagena is that normal girls have no real reason to be in the tourist zones unless they are working (either at a hotel, restaurant, or the sex trade), and so the only girls tourists see usually are the working ladies. I sometimes go do combat drills at a gym near Castellana, and I was smiling ear to ear every couple of minutes at some of the princesses walking by.

Good reports. I have to get up to Cartagena soon. Not crazy about the beaches, but it's a decent spot to chill out for a weekend. Sounds like the club scene is still happening, despite all the chatter about barriers and some restrictions.

I agree. I think it works out like I am in Cartagena like one week out of every five or six and unlike a lot of other places in Colombia, you would think with a city with so much tourism the woman would be stunning, but they really are not.

I was in La Isla in Medellin for one night and saw three women in the 9-10 class, and they were better looking than any other women I have seen in Cartagena my gal excluded. I paid one of those La Isla gals 300,000 COP in the club, got her number, and saw her outside the club for the same price. I am sure she would have been down for a trip to Cartagena. Only thing I would add is that it might have been twice the fun if she had a friend.

I just do not see a lot of women in Cartagena that are head turners. My gal's daughter has some cute friends that will probably blossom into real beauties, but I do not think her friends are going to stay there. She is kicking ass in school and says it is way easier than school was in Bogota. I got the impression from her that going to college in Cartagena is like going to school at Arizona State or Miami where education is at best #2 on the list of reasons for people going there. The vibe she gave off is if you are not going to college in Bogota or Medellin you are not taking your education seriously.

And then there is the cost. Rent at my place has gone from $600 per month to $900 per month. How is a young person supposed to afford Cartagena? Unless you are in the tourism business, and how many people are really doing well in that business who are not at the top, a young person probably is not going to have a nice life in Cartagena.

Cartagena has some good universities. Universidad Cartagena and UTB are good schools. Most kids can't afford them though, so they have to go to these vocational programs to get a license in English or take some business classes. Even worse, there isn't much in the way of industry in the city outside of tourism, so wages absolutely suck. Imagine making 1. 2 M COP a month after busting your behind in school for years. Just awful. So most girls will live at home until they save enough with their boyfriend to move out or live in the bad barrios on the edge of the city with a friend.

Or, the best looking girls who work close to tourists will snag a European who will invite them back with him, and that's how they escape. I know 4 girls who did it that way.

Take her on the tourist sites (Castillo San Felipe, Conventa De La Popa, Totumo). Take her for a few nights to a resort in Baru and do the aquarium and aviary. Do the things you'the reserve for a serious girlfriend, and it won't feel like a transaction. It'll be like a honeymoon, and that is an incredible experience.

I fully agree with the opinion above. Cartagena is a lot of hit and miss, a lot of random girls from Venezuela looking for quick money and move on to the next guy with full pockets.

I personally had only mixed or negative experiences in Cartagena, unless I brought my short-timed GF there.

BTW I will be back in ten days or so, I live in Panama so it is a quick 45' flight to be there in Bocagrande. Cartagena has its special vibe, but it far from organized and clean.

But I still love to be there every now and so.
