H Having read the reports here, it is my conclusion that only Cartagena and Medellin fit the bill with Medellin being a less appealing option because of the ridiculous prices being quoted at places like Gusto and everything that goes with it.

Here we can read anything and its contrary, but assimilating Medellin with Gusto is illogical. Gusto is ONE place in Medellin, not really representative of Medellin, and even not advisable in the opinion of the majority who write here.

Overall, Medellin is much cheaper than Cartagena (hotels, restaurants, girls).

However, mongering in Cartagena is also much easier. Then, I would suggest you to go to Cartagena, but read here first, as much as you can. Adelante, Panther, con juicio!

Occasional lurker here. First, I would like to thank you for all the great information being provided here, it's really appreciated.

Now to the question part. In a few months I'm going to have a 4-5 day window for some fun before continuing with the other part of my trip and I'm having some difficulties with my decision making. I'm that type of guy who likes to hit the club or a similar scene and feel the vibe and then go from there rather than using facebook, escort sites, casas etc. Nothing against it, it's just not my first choice. Having read the reports here, it is my conclusion that only Cartagena and Medellin fit the bill with Medellin being a less appealing option because of the ridiculous prices being quoted at places like Gusto and everything that goes with it. I didn't even bother reading about Bogota because I like warmer climate and it seems like Cali doesn't have what I'm looking for.

Wow that is a real good idea. Instead of drawing the acts you are interested in, why not at home use a translater, and copy those words to a paper. Get real slick, and then get the paper laminated.

I would gladly buy one, but I have no problem getting my thoughts known to the providers. All joking aside it really is a good idea you have in showing a Chica on a pamphlet what acts you wish her to do for you.

OK Black page if all goes well I will be in CTG in about 10 days. As I mentioned before I travel solo and I don't like having a meal in a nice restaurant alone. It really sux. This will be my 3rd trip to CTG and I will check out Cuzco and Santisimo and if either one strikes my fantasy, I did meet a chica on my last trip that I will ask out for dinner. So how do I collect my beer?

Just FYI -You can "unfollow" anyone on Facebook and not see their posts. I don't "follow" any chicas.

I have lost one phone in Colombia. This was stolen from my room when I fell asleep. I learned a lesson from that. A old time monger once noticed that I was doing a lot of TLN, and he told me I was paying the girls to sleep. I thought his remarks were funny at the time, but I think there was a lot of truth in his sage remarks.

Now you can pick up a cheap phone at a flea market or even on E- Bay. I am told you can download a translater for Spanish, and you do not need to be connected to the internet for it to work. I was told this to be true, but I am sure others on this board can chime in with the truth of the matter.

You can do all of the above. If you have Google Translator on your phone you can download language packs that work offline. Not sure all the voice and conversation modes work offline though. Which means if you're trying to communicate with a chica you may have to let her type into it or just ask yes and no questions.

Mr JohnGault glad you liked my report. I just wonder how many phones you have lost by pulling your phone out when negotiating with a chica. For those of us that don't like to carry a cell phone when on the hunt, I guess we could carry a laptop for translation. Then again maybe not. Negotiating with a chica in a club never seems to be a problem with the language barrier they seem to know enough English to understand the basics. When talking to someone on the street, many times your not in the best of areas. Well I think most people will get my point.

I agree 100 % about not giving those blood suckers any business. Now for me I always bring as many pesos as I can back home. Two reasons for that. First I love the exchange rate, and feel it is a great investment to grab as many pesos as I can at a rate near 3500 per dollar. The second reason is when I return to Colombia I can grab a taxi as soon as I clear customs. No looking for an ATM at the airport. Many times I had to wait while other people were in front of me at the machine. Now of course if you do not plan to return to Colombia than there is no sense in holding on to the pesos.
