I've been to Cartagena a time or two but never had time to enjoy the place.

Looks like I'll be back for a couple of days this Fall. I've read the recent posts and it sounds like only a couple of the hotels allow guests to accompany you to your rooms. Dan hotel, and perhaps hotel Oz. The AirBNB sounds tempting but I don't like the uncertainty of it being guest friendly or not.

What is the routine for Hollywood Beach? How does it work for the chairs, umbrellas and food? And from what I can tell from the forum, it is a good spot for daytime action.

I'm new to the forum (but I've been lurking for a long time, LOL). Your trip plan looks good to me, but be careful with Tinder and other dating apps in Colombia. A lot of people get set up and robbed that way.

It's always better to spontaneously meet women upfront and in-person in a public place like a bar, cafe, or disco. The women you meet spontaneously don't necessarily have the time to organize with others to "pre-plan" a theft or robbery in most cases.

Its all on the gringo and what he's doing, if he looks and moves like a target then he will be a target no matter if its a dating app, club, or meeting them in the street and this is true for anywhere in any country.

This is just my perspective as someone who been getting chicas from Tinder in Cartagena for years and never been robbed by a Tinder chica. 1 - Guest friendly doesn't necessarily mean 100% guest friendly. Like Nypher said, some charge you for guests. Others, apparently according to reviews, allow guests, but only to a certain time. One Airbnb I saw said guest friendly, but reviews say they kick guests out at 6 am, which sounds like a PITA. Can't even get a full night's sleep.

2 - Since Airbnb doesn't have great search functions for guest friendly places, you can go to google, type "site:www.airbnb.com Cartagena guest friendly" and google will search Airbnb for those search terms. Note that this doesn't necessarily guarantee correct results. For example, it will return search results where the location had someone write a review with the words "guest" and "friendly" in there. For example a review could say "I was a guest here, and the host was very friendly", but that doesn't mean its a guest friendly location. But it will significantly improve your ability to search.

Someone tell me if my plan looks okay. I'm thinking about visiting sometime mid / late November. Intend on staying solo for a few weeks, though I worry about getting drugged / robbed a little bit since I won't have anyone to watch my back. Anyways, hopefully try to build a roster of potentials before my trip. Meet them, see which ones I vibe with and seem trustworthy. Invite the girl (s) with me to a trip to Isla Rosario for some beach / ocean fun as well as non-stop adult fun.

For building my roster, I'm going to look thru seeking, tinder, maybe some Colombian dating sites. I'd like to go thru some hot insta / facebook women, but I have no idea how to go about finding them. Maybe search thru some local university's social media and find people who are affiliated with those places? Would appreciate help there. Been also trying to hit up legit model agencies and seeing if any of their lesser known (less expensive) talent have social media accounts, but seems like that's more a Bogota / Medellin thing. Cartagena doesn't seem to have a lot to look up.

1. Marriott Ermita hotel if girfriendly. If you say Marriott nobody knows about it. It is known as Ermita hotel. I have invited two girls to stay with me and no problem. The girls and all visitors have to fill a form and sign. It was in Spanish and do not know what it said. Hotel has a nice breakfast for two people if you book for two.

2. My impression is there are lots of girls you can meet but getting GFE is not. Maybe if you are a frequent visitor and develop a friendship maybe. Otherwise all business. Depending on how much you offer and how much you are willing to spend there are plenty of options to hire a boat or take a tour with the girl to the islands.

I am much more familiar with Puerto Rican Spanish but in Cartagena they do not understand many of the words I know. If you speak fluent Spanish it is a big plus because very few girls there speak English. Translation apps is for birds to hold a conversation.

It's friendly but good luck getting a reservation. Also you will be paying American prices to stay there and a believe it's a fee for each visitor you bring in.

Most AirBB inside Palmetto Beach is a safe bet not to be confused with Plametto Sunset (do not stay here if you want to enjoy chicas).

Get yourself or group an AirBB that's guest friendly. El Laguito and Getsemeni are the two locations that have many but they are booked way in advance. Read the house rules carefully, ask about visitors if they aren't in in there. Noise ordnance, capacity, etc.

If you choose Centro for the AirBB it will be expensive for what you get and you might not get hot water.

It's allot of homework but once it's done you will have a solid list of locations you can stay.

Hmmm, a good strategy you propose. In hindsight, that was the correct move. Last minute trips where you can't get a chica friendly airbnb I can't recommend for Cartagena.

If you or your group kept going to Delirium, Dolce or Space for 2 weeks straight and were pulling out multiple girls every night and getting short term hotels well that's advertising to everyone standing outside that you have money to give away, its worse if you happen to be buying bottles inside and they saw you do it. By your own words, you went to the clubs for 2 weeks straight, of course they know you by face after the 3rd night and expect some of that money to come their way. Touts trying to go into the club with you or trying to hop into your cab means you were attracting too much attention and they knew where you will be every night. Ideally, after the first 3 nights yourself or group should have collected enough numbers to have fresh girls for the remainder of the trip and move away from the clubs where the working girls are and move over to the Getsemani clubs where the touts aren't. The girls you were pulling out could have also suggested better places to party at where they aren't touts harassing you as well unless they were just there to do their business and leave to get more business.

Let this trip be a learning experience on what not to do if you decide to return soon, on my first trip to Cartegena, big mistakes were made as I thought it would be the same a Sosua, I must of had "Plata gratis" stamped on my forehead because it was bad and this was pre covid. But now I'm chill, I take the fun back to the apartment with the girls and we have our fun. Out of a month-long trip I may hit Space or Dolce once a week, all other nights I tell the Chica, take me somewhere different. One nice spot was a restaurant down on the lake in El Laguito, there's also another one that popped up on the castle over the bridge, and the mall La Serrezuela cool spot at night and the 7 pm water jet show is a good time waster.
