The most interesting piece of news I read in this article is that a police officer declared "se evidencia que efectivamente existe el turismo sexual" (en Cartagena). Wow.

I saw the movie. The girl is not in danger but clearly under effect of drugs.

What about during the day? I'm going to be there in 1 week and want to find a couple prepagos during the day to drink and go to the beach with. What's my best bet?

Been to Medellin, Costa Rica and DR a bunch of times. But this is my first trip to Cartagena, so I feel unprepared LOL.

I had the same question. I know the guy at the beach can hook me up but what if I don't like his options.

After a day or two of mongering, I will need some help. How and where can find the Vitamins. Is Cartagena just like every other country south of the US, where I can just go to a little farmacia and pick a few up?

I will be there last week in October so will forward any information. I am glad that I kept my phone numbers from my last trip in July as it may be the only option. Sounds like the end of an era.

I'm going to Cartagen in December. I learned bunch of things from this forum about also I found maps to be extremely useful. I found this one: https://maps.google.com/maps/u/0/ms?...a83&dg=feature.

Does anybody have other maps or can confirm if the info on the map is not outdated?

I plan on getting Pueblito Playa hotel. As somebody said it was chica friendly. I found it on booking com and it seems good. Is there a better chica friendly option? Also I plan to stay few days in walled city. Is there a cheap but OK hotel with no chica fees or reasonable chica fees?

Not a great selection. Might find a diamond in the rough (same with all the cheapo clubs in Cartagena). I think it was under 100 k so worthy of at least a look.

My friend told me that police raided and closed several places in Bosque and Bomba de El Amparo. And also that police is pushing girls out of Centro (Reloy)!

Anybody is there in these days and can confirm or correct?

Not yet, and that is exactly the place I was considering! Cholon?

I was frankly angry, instead, when I went to the Cocoliso resort, when I was lured there by some good promoter. For swimming, only 5 meters of beach and a swimming pool. One whole day wasted. On the same tour, there were several Colombians who liked it, on the other hand.

They usually do combo tours. First to Playa Blanca, drop some people off that just wants to relax on the beach. Then another 20 minutes to Islas de Rosario. There is an aquarium there (don't know if it's any good. Didn't go inside). Outside they sell fresh lobsters and crab (I believe for 10 k). After a couple hours there, you go back to Playa Blanca for another couple of hours before heading back to mainland. They pick you up at the hotel to get there but going back you need to get a taxi.
