Just my two unsolicited cents. Migrants hate being migrants. They would much prefer to stay in their home country and prosper. Economic instability and economic imbalance are the main drivers of migration. When things get better in a home country, you see less migrants from that country. Trends in migration to the USA are a direct result of us doing great and their origin country doing bad (economically). Improve the economy in an origin country and watch migration from it decrease. I won't get into political instability, because that affects economic stability, so the end effect is the same.

Zero laundry, zero cleaning, zero taking out the trash and almost zero cooking, are a few of the benefits. Gas for the car is down from $250 per month to $50 per month. Plus they pay me $300 month for their phone bills and utilities. I guess she was lying about the apartment she let me stay in free of charge, and the meals she bought or cooked for me.

These might be concepts unfamiliar to you, perhaps a failure by your parents. If someone will be a guest in my home, whether a Medellin hooker visiting my apartment, or friends living at my place while getting their lives in order, I provide a comfortable, safe environment. This is called "hospitality. ".

My friends, from Medellin, after traveling across Mexico, were arriving into frigid weather, with only the clothes on their backs. Between hospitality and being a decent human being, some assistance on my part was warranted. I could have gone to Goodwill and saved $200. Instead, I bought reasonably priced, new coats, clothes and pajamas, socks and underwear as well. I bought new toothbrushes and made sure they had the things necessary to be comfortable.

If by "simp" you mean that I treat others as human beings you are correct. Over the years, I've noticed the people who use that term are almost always incapable of interacting with women on a personal level. They are limited to prostitutes and often only the lowest classes of prostitutes. They can't handle a sexual situation where an actual conversation might be necessary.

Me? I can afford to buy a couple of $50 coats. I can carry on a conversation for months with a girl until she invites me into her bed. I can sit with a woman until 4 am talking, even when sex isn't on the menu or, if I prefer, I can change the menu. And when it's time to move on to another girl, I can kiss one goodbye thank her for the memories and walk away smiling.

Thousands of people arriving with no place to live causes problems, particularly when children are involved. The city of New York chooses to spend some of their money to provide temporary housing. Once again, this has nothing to do with the US government, or Biden. Having dead, frozen children on the street is bad for business. It's more cost effective to utilize cheap, unused hotel rooms. The hotels benefit.

Sticking with number 3, I'll move to the free debit cards. Once again, this is a NYC program, not Biden, not the US government. Instead of providing free meals, which leafs to a lot of wasted food and money, the city has started issuing debit cards pre-loaded with up to $350, reloadable weekly. It's a cheaper, more effective way to feed those who aren't yet able to feed themselves.

The "hotel" provided to my friends was a makeshift detention center, no showers, I assume a portapotty. It sounded unpleasant. No airline ticket, no free money. In fact, they had to provide proof of an airline ticket, which I bought, before they could buy bus tickets to the airport.

They didn't receive money to replace the things thrown away, although when I met them at the airport, the United Government of Me handed them warm coats and provided them warm blankets, pillows, pajamas, towels and toothbrushes, along with new socks and underwear. They've paid me back at least 4 times.

My whole point was that dude Eyvin Hernández illegally entered Venezuela and got detained for 2 years until he was traded for Alex Saab, but the Venezuelans that enter illegally into the US get free hotel stays, plane tickets, cell phones, and money. It may not be much, and it may not be perpetual, but it is a hell of a lot more than what Eyvin Hernndez received.

It's not non existent. Plus I know several more than several really Venezuelans who have told me of the hand outs they've gotten upon arrival to the US including the hotels and free cell phones.
