Could I please ask for a little advice, will be visiting Colombia and CTG for the first time in a couple of weeks.

1. Which high end hotels are girls friendly. I have a booking at Hilton, is this OK or should I move?

2. How much should I be paying. Don't like over paying or want to cause problems for future visitors:

3. What are the best places to visit for action.

4. Staying for 5 days how much cash should I bring, can I use USD or do I need to change to local currency?

5. Any fun things to do during the day (mongering or not).

6. Will I have a language problem. Just speak English.

Medellin or Cartagena? Before my first trip to Colombia, I was pondering upon those same questions you now have. I ended up choosing Medellin for my first trip and it worked out great for me. In my second trip to Colombia, I traveled to CTG and did not like it that much after being scammed by a board member (Aunsa) and I ended up switching my traveling plan and going to Barranquilla where I had a fantastic time. Although Casa activity in Medellin seems to be the main dish, I think there is plenty on the Medellin menu as far as non pros or regular girls, University girls, facebook chicas, mileroticos chicas, and prepagos that can come to you or you to them, and of course the night life clubs / bars. You may be up to a surprise once you see the talent and how gorgeous those girls at the cheap Casas could be. For a casa starter, I recommend you go to Casa New Life, Zandaly, and Coffee Shop. They are more than 30 Centro casas in case you want to make that part of your morning, afternoon routine. Local women are friendly, gorgeous, and easy to meet and to talk to. To get a taste of the local people, I don't necessarily recommend that you stay in El Centro or the Mayorista areas. Those areas are poor, beat down, not that safe to be around late at night and kind of low class, but that is me. Some people in this board have shared that they have enjoy staying in those areas. J like visiting the Centro daily but just during the day till late afternoon and I loved it, but at night it changes drastically and its not that safe I would recommend middle class barrios like Laureles or Envigado http://www.medellinliving.com/neighb...uides/page/3/. They are safer, well situated and not too far from the action (Centro, Poblado, Parque Lleras, or even the Mayorista) and not that expensive and spoiled by tourist like El Poblado...

We want to have a weekend party in Cartagena, we been having issue finding a upscale apartment with no restrictions. Most luxury hotels and some apartments have the "no overnight guest" restriction. Which apartment or luxury house can you guys recommend?

The main problem with cell phones or computers in other countries or even in the states is that if you log out of your internet email, it can be b i t c h to get back on.

So, make sure that you do not log off before going out of your home state.

I got lucky in Ecuador because I had a backup email that I did not log out of. So, when the service provider wants to send a text message; which will not work, make sure they have another email address they can send the password to.
I did not have any trouble with my Samsung 3 with their sim card.

I bought a quad band generic Samsung 4's clone off of amazon, when I went to Olimpica to buy a sim card they had a little trouble activating it though, luckily the girl selling me the sim card knew a guy across the street that worked for samsung and he got it to activate somehow. It was a beautiful thing after that. Having not only a phone but plenty of data for internet was fantastic. One funny thing though was I spent a lot of time trying to get Google USA To come up on the phone. I kept seeing a Google doodle on Google's home page that said Colombia Independence day. I finally phoned someone in the USA and asked them to bring up Google on their Computer. Sure enough. It had the mural of the colombian flag and said Colombia! My advice though is to buy a name brand phone that is quad band.

Maybe nobody has ever been to the hotel that you are asking about. You have been to CTG so many times. Did it ever come across your mind to call or send an email and ask the source? Or will you just wait here until someone does your homework for you and throw tantrums if they do not?

I understand what you are saying. I agree. What I am trying to say is that for a stunner I don't mind paying 500 k for LT. I am not giving just any girl this kind of money. Before I start, I just want to say thanks to everyone on this thread that helped me out. 99% of my information came from you guys, and it's coming very handy so far.

So I got here yesterday around 2 pm. My cab driver was real cool. I ran all of my errands (groceries, cash, sim card) then got settled in and went out. My cab driver sent two girls to my room. One was hot, the other one not so much. We're 5 guys so those girls called up two more friends. The friends were actually hotter than the original two girls. Flew are / T FLL to CTG us $234 including one checked bag. Flite was great: organized, good crew and ft lauderdale airport is much more pleasant and easier to deal with than Miami. Half the price of available seats on Avianca or Lan when I booked.

There was some posting about long layovers in Ft Lauderdale 5-6 hours. I originate in SE Florida so not an issue for me. If you have a long block of time for layover, there are many quality, well priced se Florida beauties within a 20 minute cab ride from the airport. Anything east of or near I95 in Hollywood, Dania or south of Broward blvd in ft Lauderdale would work.
