Tourists aren't going to flock to a place that had become a hot spot for COVID-19.

What is a hot spot for COVID? USA and Europe has been hit much worse than Colombia, at least for the moment. I am sure there is some, yet it sounds odd, that someone living in California may think that Colombia is more at danger for COVID. I am from Europe and no country will welcome me for a long time at international borders.

This virus is a worldwide problem. People is forbidden to move around because mobility is a major factor impacting the increase rate of the epidemic, but nowadays the virus is already everywhere, and so it will be for years.

I do communicate with a couple of chicas there who keep sending me their dirty photos but I wasn't able to get anything meaningful from them on the situation. They are still in lock down with specific days for people to go out based on their gender and ID number. My tout tells me he's worried he will run out of food soon. If Cartagena gets hit hard, which it appears its about to, then that city will be changed for a long time. Tourists aren't going to flock to a place that had become a hot spot for COVID-19. That in turn will cause a death spiral in the local economy.

Due to current travel guidelines in the United States, persons who have been in China, Iran, or certain European countries within 14 days prior to the flight will not be allowed to board this flight.

Basically they believe that people coming from China, Iran, Europe is a danger as could bring virus to USA.

Going to book up as soon as things get under control with the virus, god knows when but it's good to have something to look forward to.

I recommend an Airbnb much easier to deal with hosts than with hotels.

Anyone know when the ban on gringos coming to Colombia will be lifted? I have heard it was for 2 weeks. Was it extended?

It's a ban on all foreigners, not just gringos (however you define that) . And it's for longer than 2 weeks.

The USA Embassy is pleased announce that Spirit Airlines will operate three humanitarian flights. Two flights will depart April 15, one from El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogot and a second flight from Rafael andez International Airport (CTG) in Cartagena. A third flight will depart April 16 from Alfonso Bonilla Aragand International Airport (CLO) in Cali, and then board additional passengers in Jos Mara crdova International Airport (MDE) in Medellin. All three flights will arrive at Fort Lauderdale. Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

These flights have been made available to allow USA Citizens and Legal Permanent Residents to return to the United States. Please contact Spirit Airlines directly for seat availability, reservations, and pricing information.

I have been going to Cartagena for about 11 years. , I do not wish ill for anyone but at the same time I miss the early Cartagena that I first visited and if it is like that again, it might not be so bad for us. I remember when I started going to cartagena in 2009 it seemed like a place for mostly Colombians. Venezuelans had yet to immigrate in large numbers and Cartagena was full of women who flew in from all over Colombia to make some cash and fly back to pay for college or whatever = Paisa from Medellin, Caleos from Cali, chicas from Bucaramanga, Bogota and little places I never heard of. The Clock tower area was not quite as crowded back then but there was plenty of hotties haunting LDV and Elektra which was all a guy really needed. Of course back then if I did pull from the clock tower area it was like 100 k so less than LDV or Elektra. So even if Cartagena becomes a little dead to tourism I think it will get by on life support and there will be at least the local chicas. I believe the chicas will come back. Fingers crossed!

I talk to two chicas from CTG and they're already on the prowl looking for clients. And I thought everyone was supposed to be quarantined!

The end of an era. I'm glad I spent the last five years or so hitting pussy in Cartagena. It was great! More expensive but really worth it. I suspect this is all over. Cartagena will take some time to recover. Tourism will take at least a year maybe two to recover. The Venezuelan border is closed which will limit the pussy supply in the future.

I'm happy to be proven wrong but I think things will never be the same there, or many other places after this pandemic has past.
