Why are you giving bad advice like this? Exchange rate doesn't matter. It never mattered. For years from Medellin to Bogota to Cartagena the average prepago takes between 150 k to 200 k. The locals all pay 150 k. Outside of Colombia the average Colombian will want "cien dollares" or 100 US dollars. Inside of Colombia it's 150 k to 200 k. This price has been around for years. I was paying that much five years ago.

It's 150k to 200k "por un rato" which is for a bit of time. I usually pay twice that for all night. Exchange rate has nothing to do with it.

YippieKayay is speaking truth here. 150-200 K was the going rate when was I there in the Spring before Covid. And I don't speak a lick of Spanish. I suspect you can negotiate a lower rate now (although you're really quibbling over a few US dollars ultimately). Couldn't imagine the rates skyrocketing over the holidays.

Scroll down for Juan Ventura. He is still in business. His apartments are guest friendly, most are 2 bedroom (the last time I checked with him the rate was about $75 per night). The buildings in El Laguito are older but may have sea view. The rate is fair. Again, this is not an advice, just my experience.

Lunacy of a post. Local club rate in February was around 120 K plus you pay for a motel. 60 K rate was a street rat rate 10 years ago. No comment on my side on the lodgings as they vary a lot. Your Spanish has nothing to do with prevailing rates.

Example of a low rate, this year, during the day time, inside a brothel in other large city in Colombia, not in Cartagena: 40 K for 20 minutes, room included. The girl was great, AfroColombian, super cute with perky tits and young. However, her rules were no photos and covered BJ. I passed on her, regretted a bit later, but she didn't want to do what I expected, and the tips for photos offer was also refused. 30 minutes were 60 K and 1 hour - 80 K.

The brothel was 100% local in dodgy area, beers - 5 K for a domestic can, and locals expect sometimes 3. 5 K for a domestic beer.

Let me get that right. First I posted those rates and you went ALL IN in insulting my post, assuring that 130 k was the 2020 minimum, and now you are at 40 k 60 k 80 k.

Can anyone confirm what the nightlife is like now? I've gathered most bars and clubs close at midnight. That's to our advantage. Girls will be available all night and not in the streets. I bet the ones in the streets will be at the clock tower creating a busier clock tower experience. But what actual clubs reopened? In the car called city, where are all the working girls gathering to meet gringos besides the clock tower? Somewhere like Space Or Dulce Vita. Any boots on the ground insight?

I think that is probably Pley Club which has a playboy bunny logo. The sticker with the logo was on some taxis there. It opens late, after 10 PM is my guess because it was not open when I went around 9 PM, and later that night it was open. It is on the expensive side. The area is deserted at that time, and almost impossible to get taxi on the street when leaving.
