This will be me and they boys 2nd time in Cartagena. Last time was early March of 2020 back when the world was normal. What are the requirements to get into the country. Coming from USA. All of us are vaccinated.

Been seeing lots of new stories of drugging and muggings coming out of Medellin lately. That got me wondering. How safe actually is Cartagena?

It feels way safer than Mexico for example to me yet maybe not quite as safe as Santo Domingo DR.

I never really leave Bocagrande or centro areas though. I did taxi to baru island to see the bird sanctuary a few days ago though. Loved it. Was very high which made the ride through the sticks more tolerable.

Also. Isn't there some special holiday going on lately? This should mean more pros here right?

I noticed some good looking talent on the beach today. However playa de Hollywood I don't really see that many girls lately which leads me to the question of. If a girl is on pkaya del Hollywood is she a pro by default? Sometimes I want to approach but not certain if they are or not. I screen for eye contact but don't get it sometimes.

Also on the beach far away walking distance of playa del Hollywood towards more in the centre of Boca grande towards the Hyatt I spotted two smoking out stunners in thong bikinis. One had her children with her though. But by default these should both be pros right? There are lots of Columbian tourists in that area so I always feel uncertain about it.

Also. Is there any other place to meet pros in the day time besides the beach? I can't really drink alcohol right due to bad stomach acid heart burn now so kind of just don't feel like going to the discos or bars and I'm usually more active in the day time in general.

Has anyone on here tried the legal otc drug here called Modanfinil? Its supposed to be better than coke without the negative stuff attached supposedly. I just bought a 2 week supply tonight at the pharmacy. Am trying tomorrow. Pretty excited about it.

You may not pass for a local. My skin complexion is a bit lighter than the famous / infamous Tony so I can pass for being from San Andres or Baru but as Mojo Bandit says its more than looks. Its demeanor and especially speech, as soon a I open my mouth and speak Spanish, even though I can roll my are's they instantly know I'm not a local, its the words. An example is if you were in DR slang like "Chapidora" and "que lo que" lets them know you know what's up. But Colombia have its own slang words I have yet to grasp. Even my Panamanian friend who is perfectly fluent in Spanish was treated as a gringo once they heard him speak Spanish.

I don't know why you would take a taxi all the way to Pley Club which is basically a brothel in the hood when you can walk around Centro, el laguito, or Boca grande by the hotels after 8 pm girls like ants on cake you just have to weed out all the ones you don't want because some mongers can be too choosey. Too tall / short, too light / dark, too fat / shinny, then comes why does she do / don't do.

Cartagena is not dangerous. You can carry your phone and wallet just use your common sense such as if you would not do it where you are from then don't do it in once you clear customs.

In Cartagena you should be safe carring a phone and wallet but I would still carry them in my front pockets so as not to be easy prey for pickpockets. Most people say that skin / hair / eye color is not enough to pass for not being a gringo, they can tell my a lot more than that including your overall demeanor.

When I go to look for chicas at the beach, I do not go to "hang out" at the beach, I go to scout for chicas and do it while staying on the move. I do not sit down I do not not speak to any touts of any type. I come in from the El Laguito side of the beach (this is the side that faces more to the west, looking over at island Tierre Bomba) then I make my way around to the beach area that is facing more north, aka Playa Hollywood (on google maps ther is a marker at that far end called "Playa Las Velas" but I have always heard that whole area called Playa Hollywood) Then I start at the in front of the front row that is closest to the ocean and I make way down the row of people sitting on the beach and keep my eyes open looking for chicas sitting with other chica (s) or sitting alone. If these chicas make eye contact then I smile, if they smile back at me. The overweight old man gringo. Then I know they are probably working and unless I want to keep looking for something better I will wave them over to me and ask them "estás trabajando?" then if she says yes I start negotiating. Other wise I walk between the next rows and keep looking.

This is not a guarantee to keep all the pests away from you but I just literally shut out anyone who is not a hot chica, I do not make eye contact, not even a "No gracias". At least as a moving target you do not feel as much pressure from them if you are on the move. If I want a drink or anything else I go straight up to one of the kiosks and deal with no one else.

I realize most people want to go to the beach to relax and do "the beach" but this is my method for just going for the sole purpose to scout chicas.

1. Hotel rules with visitors change all the time which is why some mongers will only do Airbnb. Imagine being told you can only those on the initial reservation are allowed, or you are only allowed 1 visitor per day, or no visitors after 10 pm. If you think paying $50 a night for an Airbnb is good, then think again of the conditions.

I spent a Night There, visited a few clubs and la Torre:

Forgot the name of that one but there is a swimming pool in the middle. Girls were looking good, mostly friendly. Prices are around 350 k pesos, you could probably bargain.

Pleyboy, same beautiful line up with prices around 300 k.

There is another one a few dozens of meters from pleyboy, girls are physically less stunning (claimed 200 k pesos but probably not a so firm price) but very nice, friendly and some are more than willing to have a good time dancing, drinking and more. (Just have to enjoy your time, buy the drinks or the time in the room).

I have been taken to a club named nexus, seem a normal discoteca. There was a cover and plenty people in.

All this was on a Monday.

Girls at la Torre, I would say between around 20, possibly a bit more.

Yes Mde girls are usually Paisas and can pass of as Spanish girls from Europe. Plus MDE has girl friendly hotels compared to CTG but it lacks a beach.

At night, as soon as I enter Centro at night the asking prices skyrocket. But the same exact chica will be seen at Playa Hollywood and it will only be 200 K max pro una palvo. This is why I usually get them during the day, try them out and if I like them call them back for the night at 400 dos palvos minimum. But sometimes, just sometimes I something new and shiny at night, something I never seen and it looks like it can be a good fuck. Then comes the internal fighting of do I want something new or just go with something old, eventually new and shiny wins and time to haggle jajaja.

If I loose the negotiations at night I take something old and in the morning I bring them right back to the negotiating table and they don't even haggle its the price I say.

This is just my experience of day Vs night outcomes, but I could be hella wrong as I've only been doing CTG for 5 years.
