Solo experiences are a bit better due to your pockets, your choice but I understand the whole ruin the mood thing which is why I have not travelled with large groups in years. On multiple occasions (pre covid) we get to Playa Hollywood and I tell the guys all these chicas are 200 mil each, do not pay more than that. We get the cabana, pick out our girls, they come to the cabana, they order food, drinks, etc. Everyone is having a good time, all laughs girls are smiling. We tell the girls grab their stuff to leave the beach and take the party back to the apartment to finish thing off. Everyone is around the pool, drinks are pouring, chicas start talking then all of a sudden some chica gets mad because she finds out her amiga is getting paid $100 and she's only getting 200 mil, now she's looking to get more money. Mood ruined!
The ones who do not try to take advantage I keep their whatsapp number and when I land at the airport I post whatsapp status of the Bienvenidos Colombia sign behind immigration and they start texting me the usual Hola mi amor, donde estas. Whoever hits me up first I see them first. On my last day I usually pot another status of either sitting on the wall or at the beach, the ones that wait till my last day to hit me up I just tell them next time because they took too long. Eventually they get with the program and know to hit me up before that first status post expires.
I can agree we all learn from every trip and we know what works best for us and what doesn't when approaching a new chica. Whatever method anyone have, use what works best for you.

Just thinking about this Johnny something guy makes me cringe. I love Cartagena, the history, the food, the music, and, of course, the women. The ones who drug guys and rob them are scum. They would be scum in any country and they exist in every country. Every woman I have fucked in Cartagena was just making a living. Why you have to humiliate them to enjoy yourself is beyond me. Like all my mongering brothers, I do pick and choose what I want and I bargain for a better price. It is part of business. I did not get wealthy enough to monger abroad by giving my money away. But show some respect. If a client had disrespected me in my line of work, I would make sure my friends in the business knew about them. Their price would go up from there until they found someone they could bully for the business. So in Cartagena, I fuck as many as my tired old ass can handle and I am sure they don't remember me when I am gone, but they did not regret having to deal with me. Besides, fucking for money seems like a pretty smart way to make a living to me. Coming back to Cartagena this fall. Best mongering place in the world.

Posts: 582Ambien is the new drug of choice to knock you out. It's really to get into a relaxed party situation where you think this couldn't happen to you. Especially in group situations. It can.

You're staying in a hotel so the front desk speaks English. It takes less than 5 minutes on your way out to stop and ask them if the curfew is in place and what are the limitations pertaining to you. If you cannot bother to do that and like the thrill of being a deer in headlights when shit happens I wish you the best out there when that shit does happen due to you are a foreigner, your countries laws and rights cannot and will not protect you overseas.

When I offered them money I wasn't really trying to bribe them. I was just sick of talking to them and wanted to pay whatever ticket and move on because they were fucking with us forever. They were asking us a bunch of random ass questions. "show me your best salsa dance" "what do you do for work?" etc. They just seemed bored. When I went to pay the girl's ticket the next day the head police chief kind of acted the same way. I shot the shit with him for like an hour and he cut the ticket price in half. Laid back attitude in Cartagena. I'm done disrespecting the law here though and I won't be violating curfew again.
I'm not really looking for advice here. My lifestyle isn't for everyone. Just wanted to share my experience because I'm bored as fuck being locked in my hotel room at 9 pm due to curfew. I did my part for society and got he vaccine before coming so I guess I had a little tick in the back of my head that all this mask wearing curfew shit shouldn't apply to me. But it does and I got to respect it.

To answer your rhetorical question, $100 and especially $1000 is a HELL lot of money for Colombia, especially during the pandemic. The latter amounts to 100 reasons to target a rich gringo who has more money than common sense and give him a good beating or worse.
Several people have told you by now that your "I'll give them $100" attitude can get you in trouble. But sure, keep doing what you're doing, you just can't go wrong.
