What do you do when you have problems with the car? A lot of people will fly to Colombia for plastic surgery or dental work in Mexico because it is cheaper. But what do you do with the cheap dentures that do not fit well? No dentist in your town will want to adjust something made cheaply in Mexico. Sometimes its best to buy locally. Women are the same. Of course we all know of the benefits of global thinking and travel.

Then you are pretty much fucked. Learned that the hard way recently. Chick I used to mess with in Barranquilla is a dentist. She did my braces for $800 at the end of June. When I got back to the States one of the brackets had come off. I went to an orthodontist and he would not touch them. He said they do not touch other people's work. He did seem surprised that they were speed braces. I don't know shit about braces. I really just got them so she could make money during bad times. When I got to the car I looked it up and speed braces are like the most expensive kind and they self-adjust. A friend said she paid $9,000 for her daughter's braces in the States. In comparison the $800 I paid was a really good deal, but does not mean shit if you have no way to get the adjustment or repair.

So I was on my way to Dominican Republic and had one of my chicks make an appointment in Santo Domingo to get now 2 brackets cemented back on. Went up there for the appointment and same deal: we don't touch other people's work. MF she told you it was other people's work when she made the appointment. So she called her friend who is a dentist in her small town and I drove 3 hours there and he charged me $35 to cement them back on.

Arrived Friday night to meet up with one of my Chicas I'm staying with at Dann Hotel.

Nice place, and after dinner on Saturday around 9 PM I took a stroll around the neighborhood in Laguito by myself and there were walkers out.

It seems like this would have been widely known if it was true. Back a few years ago when La Dolce Vita was in that little shopping center right across the street from the Dan Carlton that would have been a mongers paradise- Playa Hollywood on one side and La Dolce Vita right outside on the other. I think that it would have been wider known then if it was in anyway chica friendly. What I mean by "at some level" is that there are some places where chicas can come in during the day but not at night, some places will allow a chica if you pay a fee, etc.

I respect your point you may however; Buying the same car for a cheaper price issues not the same as buying cheaper service and product for a cheaper price.

Recently I wanted to buy a Lexus SUV. The average price locally was about $22,000 for the car I wanted to purchase. My max was $25000. I noticed in Atlanta they were more selections and the average price was $16,000. There are some guys That will be content to spend $22,000 because they are within in their budget. Then there are People like me who will take the 2 hour fly time to Atlanta for $200 and get a deal on the model they wanted for $15,500.

I am currently sitting at home in Dublin awaiting my PCR test and if all is clear, I will (again) be trying to make my Migform application.
That leads me to wonder how Colombia has managed to achieve so much success with all it's disadvantages, compared to Ireland with all it's advantages? Any ideas or explanations?

You know that negv tests are not required for Colombia?

As someone else said, it seems that lockdowns do not do much apart from buy time. They don't get you closer to the end goal, which is to have a resitant population.

I think just about everyone in Colombia has the antibodies by now (exageration, but a big chunk). They have 3 separate waves without vaxes. A large proportion of the vulnerable people are dead, either from the virus, or dead before the virus arrived. Countries such as Vietnam, NZ, Aus, Norway etc. They closed down the borders completely and lived in their caves for a year. But now they are vulnerable with a population that has no resistance. They need to vaccine rolled out pronto, but even then, the virus can pass thru vaxd people. It is here to stay.

Another point to bear in mind is that people in most rich countries have the good fortune to have their life prolonged by medical treatments. These people would be dead in poor countries. But these people are alive but in poor health. They are the mass majority of the victims of covid.

I don't have much experience in Cartagena, so perhaps women mongers are more common here. The only other time I have seen other women mongers is in the DR. Makes me wonder if there is an ISG for women.

I like Bogota better than Cartagena. Cartagena is too much of a tourist trap type of place with people harassing you to buy some stupid bracelets every time you walk down the street. Or giving you a tour that you never asked for and then asking for money.

In Bogota, you can just relax and blend in.

Well, touts and the heat are two plagues of Cartagena, I'll give you that.

Just got my PCR result, and went with my Plan be and got my Airbnb host to reapply for the MIGFORM. Within half hour I got my reply from Colombia and I will arrive in just over 48 hours from now on my virgin trip.

So I am now looking forward to warm weather, hot women and cold beer. The only thing that is missing to make it the perfect trip is a little bit of info regarding Sports Bars where I can watch the English Premier League, and Bars with live music, particularly pre-80's stuff. All suggestions will be appreciated.

I've been keeping a close eye on the CV figures from Colombia, and yesterday, they fell below 3 k cases for the first time since July of last year. In Ireland yesterday, they reported 2100 cases, which is the highest figure since Jan this year. Ireland still has some of the toughest restrictions on the planet. Since it's peak on June 26th, the rate of daily new infections has fallen 92% in Colombia, while the infection rate in Ireland is per capita about 4. 5 X higher than in Colombia. As far as I am aware, what social safety net there is Colombia, is very limited, while Ireland is rated as one of the best in the world. To give you one example of this, those employees who had to be furloughed from their jobs received 350 per week ($400 USD), though this is about to be cut to 300. During the meantime, Colombia has managed to keep tourism open, though there have been restrictions. Ireland is 73% fully vaxxed. Colombia, 24%. New infections in Colombia have been declining at the rate of 30% a week since the peak of June 26th. With the exception of "new deaths", Colombia is outstripping Ireland favourably on just about every metric.

Cartagena is more expensive than Bogota and for a good reason. Beautiful, world class historic city on a beach (shitty beach, yes, but still). It feels like a resort. Does Bogota feel like a resort? I actually like Bogota, but I believe I'm in minority.

And 60 K you paid. Was it for 20 or 30 minutes? Not for a full hour, anyway.

I just went online and searched for Kopi Luwak coffee. The website has it as $399 per pound marked down from $449 per pound. In the states you buy this coffee. When you get to Indonesia and someone tries to sell you this coffee for $200 per pound, woo hoooo. You are really happy to be getting a deal. Thing is though, that when I was in Indonesia I bought this Kopi Luwak at the grocery store for literally $5 per pound.

Some dudes are going to pay what they want to pay regardless as long as they can afford it. IMO Getting a deal is not the priority. Their main concern is getting who they want and how they want them. My friend is like that here in Cali. Instead of paying 80,000 pesos (30 minutos) for a chica in house; he rather pay 450,000 pesos to take her back to his room for TLN. After explaining to him in dollars the price difference; I saw it didn't matter. I was like cool do what you want you can afford it. If both parties feel that it's a even swap there is no swindle.

It's a big difference if a man does not know the current market value for the product he's buying. That's when the bullshit kicks in and the criticism is warrant. Needless to say some people concentrate on looks and others are more interested in was underneath the hood. In this game the valance can fluctuate depending on the timing, chica, budget, and individual perspective.
