Could you elaborate on the whole clock tower thing? ; Are there any clubs or areas where they've gone to, or have they just kind of dispersed into the wind?

The sentence pretty much explains itself jajaja.

The girls are no longer allowed to stand around the clock tower to offer services. So they are walking around the three main clubs Dolce, Space, Delirium. I like to call it the pussy triangle. The ones who are not walking around are now going inside those same 3 clubs.

I hardly done the clocktower as its just comes off as odd openly walking around going from chica to chica.

The first available Hilton brand hotel near airport is this one and ended up taking it as this allows early check in as we are landing in around 8 am and most of the hotels will make you wait until noon to check in.

Thanks for the boat tour and you are right about these tours only operate early in the morning. So probably we will cancel that plan and relax on the beach, eat, massages, sleep. Then evening stroll to old town / clock tower, dinner then Dolce Vita club or near by casa and wrap up the night.

In light of Nypher saying you will not be going until the 19th. Here is another dose of my two cents.

One Day In Cartagena.

Be psychologically prepared to ignore the onlsaught of hustlers and hawkers on the beach. Be very prudent about ordering you own drinks at the kiosks on the beach to avoied gettind scammed.

Looks like this Hampton By Hiilton is in the heart of Boca Grande on the corner of Carrera 2 and Calle 8 (Carrera 2 is the main strip). For the best lunch there is a Colombian chain I would describe as upscale casual. Its called Crepes & Waffles (do not let the name confuse you they are not a breakfast joint LOL) they have a huge menu and there desserts are rich. It is located exactly one block north east is Crepes & Waffles on the same side of the street (Carrera 2) just before you cross Calle 9. Easy to miss becase of the trees blocking the building. You have walk around the corner and the entrance is on Calle 9.

A popular thing to do is to go watch the sunset at a little bar / restaruant called Cafe Del Mar, that over looks the ocean. It was built on one of the wide cannon defense positions on the wall that is the furthest point juttting out of the peninsula. It also gives and awesome view of the Bocagrande skyline as the sunset reflects on the glass and steel.

The best food in Cartagena is seafood because it is caught fresh. And one of the best restaruants for both food and ambiance is San Pedro Cafe Mirador Restaurante. You can eat outside if you want and it sits on Plaza de San Pedro Claver. Cartagena is popular because of its Spanish Colonial architecture and this restuarant is located one of the finest and most preserved of these buildings and just across from the Iglesia de San Pedro Claver which is a church that is over 400 years old and scattered around the plaza are metal sculptures.

You are in a bind as most guest friendly hotels are booked way in advance and most guest friendly AirBBs require 2 nights stay minimum. If you get a chica ask her where are the short stay hotels and she will know.

1 - Those trips are usually early morning and is usually an all day thing as no boats want to be on the water when the tide comes in due to rough water.

3 - the clock tower is cleared out. The girls are walking around by the clubs or inside the clubs.

It was a last minute change in our itinerary due to the flight reschedule. Hence did not do much research on Cartagena.

As another member suggested, probably will stick to either Dolce Vita or any suggested casa for quick deed instead of following chica suggested love motels to avoid surprises.

Here is my two cents on the subject.

I am editing this to reflect that I just noticed that your post is two days old and you said you were there for only one night - how did it go? I am leaving my initial response to see if anyone has anything to add..

It looks like they are arriving on the 19th of this month (next week) but their flight apparently is going from BOG to CTG for what appears to be a 1 day layover, then from CTG to MDE.

1 day in CTG is not enough to do anything or see anything when the person have zero connections on the ground on top of its their first time.

We also don't know how is their Spanish speaking skills so that's another variable to work with.

It looks like the expectation is to do a ton in a single day which will be a rushed experience.

I booked at Hampton by Hilton for over night stay and wondering if any of members stayed there and any DP of bringing the chicas with no issues?

Any suggestions must do during this 24 hrs (landing in the 19th morning. Should be ready to step out by afternoon.

1 Planning to take a boat tour for 3 ot 4 hours (until sunset) to near by islands.

2 night stroll thru old city, central and have dinner (any suggested place).

3 either try for WG at the clock tower or try any casa?

4 any recommended massage / spa with full service (read about Rub spa but not sure if there are any confirmed reports of price, service).

Would love to meet any fellow mongers for a drink incase if they are near by Hampton / Hilton hotel on 19th or 20th morning.

Very slim chance your hotel is going to allow chicas come to your room. You need to investigate the love hotels. Once you find a chica they can direct you to a love hotel. Be safe though and do not go for any chicas that want to do a threesome. Two chicas is when most people get robbed. If you want to find the best selection of chicas I strongly advise going to Dolce Vita, the selection in casas is not comparable to Dolce Vita. Very few places in the western hemisphere are comparable really. Maybe in Brazil I have heard and a few places in Bogotal I have also heard but still Dolce Vita is a night clup filled with working chicas and many of them are beautiful. Dolce Vita is searchable on google maps. It is on Carrera 6 (aka Calle del Porvenir) between Calle 35 and Calle 36).

I have not been to Cartagena in almost a year. I am not sure about what is going on in the Clock Towere area. The mayor had made a comment that sex tourist were not welcom and then they had ran the girls out of the clock tower square but that was back around November. But I would want to know more before I went around soliciting chicas in the street. There is no reported affect on the action in Dolce Vita or casas for that matter but I would stick to doing business in the clubs.

One of the few places in the western hemisphere where you can go into club (s) full of hot chicas where you can size them up in person and negotiate before you make a deal. I am older and I do not care for dance music and I do not like talking in loud places like clubs but I love the latinas and 'll be damned if I will let some loud music get between me and picking up a gorgeous chica.

I miss when La Dolce Vita was down in Laguito and it was larger and rarely got packed enough not be able to circulate easily but even if you see a hottie across the room in the new Dolce Vita that you like, if she is about business than you should be able to just motion her over and start a conversation.

How safe is the area that the Rub Spa is in? I'm thinking about going, but only if it is safe.

Rub Spa is located in Manga, which in my opinion is one of the safest places in Cartagena. I have stayed there the last 3 times at different Airbnb spots and it feels like a more relaxed and local atmosphere. You can walk to the supermarket, run beside the ocean and walk around the area without being constantly accosted by someone trying to sell you something or asking for money. Sure, no place is completely safe but just be smart and you should be OK.

By contrast, Bocagrande and Getsemani are full of other tourists, which of course brings tourist traps and hustlers, and someone that wants to find a tourist to take advantage of will more likely be there looking for an opportunity.
